“Great communication with lots of pictures of bacon on walks. She really took care of him like he was her own dog. I will definitely be requesting more walks from Alyssa.”

“Denise has been amazing with Stella and Milo. They have lots of energy and she has been great to adapt to their own unique personalities. Stella is 9 1/2yo and started limping one night and she let me know right away sending me videos and pictures. She always sends great updates and pictures which makes my shifts so much better!”

“This was the first time with Trinity and she did a great job! Came when expected. Walked Bella, sent pictures and texted how it went afterwards. I feel very confident leaving my girls with her.”

“Julian is amazing! My high-energy puppy loves to walk with him :) My dog had some diarrhea in the house and he cleaned it up for her. I really appreciate his kindness. I will definitely re-book again! :)”

About: Working with young kids has taught me to be very patient and understanding. I pride myself on using this experience to maintain strong relationships between my clients and their pets I currently work part time as a preschool teacher. My shifts are 5 hours each. A normal day starts around 8:00am, and ends at 1:00pm, with the exception of a babysitting gig outside of typical working hours. I work with my clients to establish trust between us, and the the pet I service to provide a safe and healthy experience within their home.

About: I’ve had private clients over the past two years consistent of house sitting and dog walking. Moving to a new area and switching to Rover to meet new pets to care for. I currently have open weekends and work a 9/80 schedule allowing me to be off every other Friday and available to help your pets! “She did an amazing job taking Valkyrie on walks, being on time and communicating regularly updates with pictures, videos and msgs. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Valkyrie is looking forward to her next walks with Lexy. Thank you again.”

“Thank you for coming on time, figuring out how to deal with my shy Mamba. You took him all the way to the park, awesome. And he seemed happy and affectionate when I got home.”

“Jessica was amazing for our dog walks! She is very responsible, and very communicative. We were nervous as this was our first time using Rover or a dog walker that wasn’t family, but Jessica helped to make all of our worries go away quickly. She was very kind and warm with our two dogs, and they warmed up to her right away - even one of our dogs that can sometimes be a little scared around new people. They will definitely miss their walks with Jessica! We would absolutely recommend Jessica, and she will be the first one we look for the next time we need some help.”

About: Hi there! I signed up for Rover for a little extra cash and to get my fix of spending time with animals! I have been an animal enthusiast and pet lover all my life. I enjoy dogs of all ages but seniors hold a very special place in my heart. My dog passed a few years ago and being with him from puppy to senior was such a blessing to have known such a special dog. I often take care of my friends's/sibling's dogs and cats too. Patience and kindness are what they deserve! I have extensive experience with cats as well, particularly with administering medicine or specific health care needs. My own cat has needed surgeries, medications and she has to have a special prescription diet. Therefore, I am more than happy to care for animals with medical needs! In my free time, I also do volunteer work to take care of horses. I have experience in horse, tortoise and saltwater fish care. I am more than happy to care for any creature! I am in-between jobs currently so aside from a few trips I'll be taking my schedule is very open! I should have plenty of time to dedicate to watching pets. I make sure to pay close attention to detail on care instructions to make sure I am caring for the pet the best as I can. Spending quality time with pets, reading their body language and especially respecting their boundaries are very important to me.

About: My soul dog lived until he was 15. Recently passed but I loved and cared for him for all those years. I have fostered dogs over the years and worked on crate training, leash walking, manners, behaviors and boundaries. I am a teacher on summer vacation looking to make extra income while spending time with pet dogs. Available all day various times of the day No pets currently in my home as my 15 year old recently passed. My yard is fenced and safe. Large grassy area and have many local parks to go on walks or hikes
About: Making sure the owners trust me is a priority. I want them to feel comfortable of me taking care of their pets while they are away. I am experienced with taking care of young, old, big, and small pets. I have been taking care of my own pets since a young age. I am dependable, respectful, and can follow directions. Your house and pets can be safe with me! I currently do not have a job so I am free almost anytime. I can come last minute if that is needed. I have pets of my own so I understand if they have specific needs and that is perfectly okay with me. When caring for the owners pets, I make sure that they are safe, healthy, and happy. I can easily put them in crates if that is needed. I make sure that I create a comforting environment for the pets so they know all is well. My main priority is making sure the pet and owners wants and needs are met so everything works out!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
