About: I love all animals even the initially intimidating ones. I know how to read animals signals and access their comfort level. I give each pet the time it needs to get comfortable so that I can establish a relationship of trust. I'm nether a cat person or a dog person or a tortoise person for that matter, I love all pets equally. I've taken care of virtually every kind of house, pet (including my aunt's chinchilla) thank you got something I haven't seen before? Bring it on. I'm ready for it all. I don't consider taking care of pets to be at shore or work. I take care of them because they take care of me. They keep me calm and grounded, even when things are at their most chaotic. First things first, I treat each animal as if it were my own. I make sure to give each pet the attention it deserves. Upon first introduction and the patients to let it get comfortable when needed. From there I'm happy to take care of any special requests you might require for your pet.

About: Hi, I'm Josselyn! If you looked in my car, you'd probably find a bag of dog food, extra water, treats, and a leash because helping animals isn't something I turn on and off; it's simply who I am. While living in Bakersfield, I saw firstahand how many stray and neglected animals needed help. It became part of my everyday life to stop for dogs wandering the streets, providing food and fresh water, check to see if they were injured, and do everything I could to get them to safety. Whenever possible, I'd help connect them with rescues, fosters families or loving forever homes. Seeing an animal go from scared and hungry to safe and loved is one of the most rewarding experiences. Along with caring for my own dogs and cats, I've also provided dog walking and pet sitting services for others. These experiences have taught me how to care for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your pup is shy, playful, energetic, or a senior who needs a little extra patience, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved. I'm also very active, so if your dog enjoys long walks, jogging, hiking, or getting plenty of exercise, I'd love to keep up with them! If your dog prefers a slower pace, I'm just as happy taking relaxed walks, giving them extra attention, and making sure they feel secure. Every dog is different, and I believe their care should reflect that. What's truly sets me apart is that I don't see this as just a job. Caring for animals has been part of my life long before joining Rover. I treat every pet as it they were my own with patience, kindess, respect, and lots of love. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind knowing your best friend is not only safe but truly cared for while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because it's something I truly enjoy. I currently work two part-time jobs, which gives me a flexible schedule with availability most mornings, afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Whether your dog enjoys a relaxing walk, an active run, or just some extra love and attention, I'm happy to tailor my care to their needs while providing dependable, consistent service you can count on. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions so I can provide care that's consistent and personalized. Whether I'm in your home or out on a walk, I'll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring and dependable hands.

Kayla provided great care for my pup for several weeks with walks and a weekend stay. She was attentive to my needs and my pups needs and even took her to get exercise at the park! She was prompt and followed all of my detailed instructions (and I can be a very picky dog mom). And, she provided lots of updates with adorable pics of my pup showing how happy and content she was while with Kayla. Kayla even went above and beyond after a day-long stay and brought me my car keys when I accidentally locked them in the trunk! Kayla is very responsible and trustworthy and I will be happy to have her back again when I need someone to care of my baby girl! Thanks so much Kayla! I really appreciate you!

About: I have always had animals since I was a kid and I have always loved them! I love their unconditional connection with us. I have senior dog care and medication administering experience. I am trying something new in my career path, which will hopefully include your pet. I want to work with animals more and turn it into a career. I can't wait to get my steps in with your pet! I have an open schedule at this time. I'm looking to fill my week with regular walks, visits, and boarding. I have three daughters. My oldest actually works as a pet bather with Petsmart and my two younger daughters love animals as much as I do......I've been told by my oldest that I'm not allowed at the animals shelter anymore. 🤣🤣🤣 I live in a mobile home with a fenced yard. I have four of my own fur babies that are welcoming to new visitors. Depending on weather we may go for walks at the park and visit the dog park or play in the backyard or even the house with toys. But as long as it's not too hot or raining we hit the park and dog park.

About: Hi my name is Alexis I'm a full time college student and I nanny as well as pet sit. With that being said, I've always loved all fur babies and started dog sitting locally overnight about 4 years ago. I now help with dog sitting during my stay with clients while being a nanny. Occasionally I will also volunteer and dog walk at Rock and Rescue adoption center in Woodland Hills when I have free time after school. Additionally, I will help a friend of mine who has her own dog walking business walk the dogs and spend time with them if needed. I am hoping to meet you and your fur baby soon and I can't wait to hear back from you! Thank you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Exceptional Care for Luna & Lola! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. She took care of my Great Dane, Lola, and my Belgian Shepherd, Luna, and was truly incredible from start to finish. Her communication was beyond amazing she kept me updated every step of the way, sent so many thoughtful photos, and made sure I always knew how my girls were doing. As a dog mom, that level of communication meant everything. Most importantly, my dogs were not only safe they were genuinely happy, loved, and cared for. You can tell immediately when someone truly loves animals, and that was so evident in the way she cared for both of them. Luna is a high energy Belgian Shepherd, and Lola is a giant sweetheart Great Dane, so caring for both takes someone special and she handled them beautifully. I came home to happy, well loved dogs and complete peace of mind, which is priceless. I would book her again in a heartbeat and absolutely hope she’s available the next time we need care. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Park. On Rover:

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
