About: I’m an animal communicator with a deep, intuitive connection to animals — I don’t just care for your pets, I actually listen to them. I’ve spent my life alongside dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and needs, including my own two girls, Daisy and Chloe. I understand animal behavior, body language, and emotional wellbeing on a level that goes beyond feeding and walks. Senior pets, anxious dogs, and strong-willed characters are my specialty. Your fur family will be safe, seen, and genuinely loved while you’re away. I’m currently available full time through mid-September, making this a great time to book! After that I take on seasonal evening work Thursday through Sunday, so I’m still available for daytime care and drop-ins year round. We did hospice for a number of dogs and cats from 2014 to 2025, so we installed Life Proof floors and have furniture to accommodate the older ones. Because I work from home, visiting dogs get to be part of my normal daily routine rather than spending long stretches of the day alone. I especially enjoy having a furry coworker nearby! Your pet’s safety and comfort are extremely important to me. I have two friendly, social dogs of my own: a Corgi and a small Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund mix. I accept only a limited number of guest dogs so I can provide plenty of individual attention and maintain a calm, comfortable environment. My home has a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time and potty breaks. Inside, visiting dogs are welcome to relax and make themselves at home, including on the furniture and bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I use positive reinforcement and always want visiting pets to feel safe and comfortable. I can also separate dogs when needed for feeding, rest, or personal space using a secure indoor gated area. Before a first stay, I like to learn about your dog’s normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, potty habits, medications or special needs, and how they interact with other dogs. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar as possible and give you peace of mind while they’re in my care.
“We made arrangements to meet with Michael prior to booking. Upon meeting him he was very friendly and Decker took to him immediately. He made sure to ask questions regarding Decker and his care and needs Mike is an experienced dog handler and very knowledgeable about the care & feeding of dogs. He offers an excellent in-home boarding experience shared with his own dogs. Dogs get run of the house and yard under constant supervision. He sends regular updates and pictures through the boarding period. Mike goes above and beyond with the care he gives. Decker was definitely treated like part of the family. Mike even made sure Decker had a rain coat when it rained. Made sure he was nice and comfy. We are very pleased with the care and attention give to Decker. All the positive reviews about Alyssa are 100% true! I was in need of a sitter for our eldery Shih Tzu (Molly) for three days! Alyssa was friendly and professional during the coordination process. We dropped Molly off at Alyssa's residence and received a heart-felt welcoming! We saw an instant connection between Molly and Alyssa making the situation of leaving Molly behind comforting.
