About: I’ve been a dog parent and animal lover for more than 20 years, and throughout that time I’ve also cared for dogs and cats for friends while they traveled or needed an extra hand. I have extensive experience with small and medium-sized dogs, including senior dogs. I’ve trained my own dogs using patience, consistency, treats, and positive reinforcement, and both are well-socialized and house-trained. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means playing together, going for a neighborhood walk, enjoying some outdoor time, or simply giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I work from home full-time, so I’m home throughout most of the day and have plenty of time for play, attention, potty breaks, walks, and companionship. Before a first stay, I like to learn about your dog’s normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, potty habits, medications or special needs, and how they interact with other dogs. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar as possible and give you peace of mind while they’re in my care.

All the positive reviews about Alyssa are 100% true! I was in need of a sitter for our eldery Shih Tzu (Molly) for three days! Alyssa was friendly and professional during the coordination process. We dropped Molly off at Alyssa's residence and received a heart-felt welcoming! We saw an instant connection between Molly and Alyssa making the situation of leaving Molly behind comforting. During our trip, Alyssa maintained communication with us via text message and photographs which ensured us Molly was doing well. Benny had an amazing stay at Shayna's! She is very knowledgeable about dogs in general, and is especially skilled when it comes to dogs with reactivity issues (my Benny can be reactive and Shayna's approach was thoughtful and well planned, he had a great stay!) Shayna has dogs of her own and they helped Benny adapt. Her two large ones are gentle giants! I was honestly impressed with their calm demeanor, and it was so helpful for my Benny (who's a fairly big dog as well). Shayna also sent videos, and checked in about his eating and treats. I was very, very pleased with every aspect of Benny's stay with Shayna.
Our furry family member had a wonderful time with Jenna and her family! Although we never had the chance to meet Jenna personally, we did meet her mom during drop-off and pick-up, and she was incredibly warm and welcoming. Jenna kept us updated throughout Arya’s stay by sharing lots of pictures, which gave us great peace of mind. We knew Arya was well cared for and loved while we were away. We would absolutely use Jenna’s services again in the future and would happily recommend her and her family to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. I always leave Freddie with Sarah when I need dog sitting, and it’s always an amazing experience. She sends regular updates and pictures, and she takes extra good care of Freddie while I’m gone.
