“The only difficult part of writing this review is finding enough good things to say about Elena. Every interaction, from my first communication to picking up Puck after his stay, conveyed both a love of animals and professionalism. We met first in a local park for a meet and greet, where Elena and I chatted and her daughter played with Puck. I felt really comfortable with Elena’s easy manner and the questions she asked to ensure that Puck would be happy with them. I left in confidence when I dropped Puck off, and the photos she sent made it clear that Puck was happy and well cared for. Her daughter makes for a wonderful added bonus; Elena told me when I picked him up that her daughter made a fort for them, and it was clear in the pics that Puck received lots of play time with his favorite toys. When I picked up Puck after his stay, he was of course happy to see me, but not overcome with nervousness or anxiety. I could see that he felt safe and loved in Elena’s home. When I arrived home, he slipped right back into normal routines without needing decompression time. Thank you, Elena, for providing Puck with a warm and loving home-away-from-home.”

About: I’ve been a dog parent and animal lover for more than 20 years, and throughout that time I’ve also cared for dogs and cats for friends while they traveled or needed an extra hand. I have extensive experience with small and medium-sized dogs, including senior dogs. I’ve trained my own dogs using patience, consistency, treats, and positive reinforcement, and both are well-socialized and house-trained. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means playing together, going for a neighborhood walk, enjoying some outdoor time, or simply giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away, and I’ll treat your pet with the same patience and affection I give my own. I work from home full-time, so I’m home throughout most of the day and have plenty of time for play, attention, potty breaks, walks, and companionship. I’m available for boarding seven days a week, depending on my calendar, and I keep my Rover availability updated. Because I work from home, visiting dogs get to be part of my normal daily routine rather than spending long stretches of the day alone. I especially enjoy having a furry coworker nearby! Your pet’s safety and comfort are extremely important to me. I have two friendly, social dogs of my own: a Corgi and a small Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund mix. I accept only a limited number of guest dogs so I can provide plenty of individual attention and maintain a calm, comfortable environment. My home has a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time and potty breaks. Inside, visiting dogs are welcome to relax and make themselves at home, including on the furniture and bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I use positive reinforcement and always want visiting pets to feel safe and comfortable. I can also separate dogs when needed for feeding, rest, or personal space using a secure indoor gated area. Before a first stay, I like to learn about your dog’s normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, potty habits, medications or special needs, and how they interact with other dogs. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar as possible and give you peace of mind while they’re in my care.
