About: Dogs have always had a special place in my heart, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. When I was younger, I helped take care of a litter of eight newborn puppies, helping with feeding, cleaning their space, and spending time playing with them as they grew. Even though I unfortunately haven’t owned a dog of my own, I’ve lived with and helped care for several family/friends' dogs over the years, including two pit bulls, my best friend's dog, and my aunt’s dog, who had special needs. I’m currently a college student, which gives me a fairly flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m able to plan my classes and study time around my responsibilities. I’m happy to provide services such as dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I will make sure each pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. My goal is to help pets feel safe, happy, and loved while giving owners peace of mind. Please read!! I’m a college student. I'm not available Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am–1:00 pm, and on Tuesdays from 11:00 pm–2:30 pm. Outside of these times, I’m generally free :) I care for pets with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and respect for my clients’ homes. I consider myself an organized person, so I always make sure to keep things tidy and clean up after both myself and the pets. I follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions. My goal is to make sure pets feel comfortable and well cared for while also making sure the home stays just as the owner left it.

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including pets with different temperaments and routines. I currently care for pets in my own home, so I understand how important it is to provide a safe, clean, and calm environment. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, potty routines, basic grooming, and giving pets the attention they need to feel comfortable. I am especially patient with shy or anxious pets and make sure they feel secure while you’re away. I focus on providing consistent care, close supervision, and regular updates so you always know your pet is in good hands. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide consistent care throughout the day. I am able to give regular potty breaks, attention, and supervision. Since I already care for pets at home, your pet will fit into a calm and structured routine. I am available for boarding on most days and can accommodate different schedules when needed. I maintain a clean, pet-safe home and closely supervise all pets at all times. I create a calm, secure environment and can separate pets if needed to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

About: I have always had animals since I was a kid and I have always loved them! I love their unconditional connection with us. I have senior dog care and medication administering experience. I am trying something new in my career path, which will hopefully include your pet. I want to work with animals more and turn it into a career. I can't wait to get my steps in with your pet! I have an open schedule at this time. I'm looking to fill my week with regular walks, visits, and boarding. I have three daughters. My oldest actually works as a pet bather with Petsmart and my two younger daughters love animals as much as I do......I've been told by my oldest that I'm not allowed at the animals shelter anymore. 🤣🤣🤣 I live in a mobile home with a fenced yard. I have four of my own fur babies that are welcoming to new visitors. Depending on weather we may go for walks at the park and visit the dog park or play in the backyard or even the house with toys. But as long as it's not too hot or raining we hit the park and dog park.

About: Hello, my name is Alexis Keys, and my heart has always been drawn to animals of all kinds. From a young age, I found joy in rescuing those in need from the streets, ensuring they had a safe haven. My journey has led me to volunteer at local animal shelters, where I’ve been privileged to care for many vulnerable creatures. I’ve also opened my home to foster animals who required extra love and attention, such as underweight puppies or kittens needing medication, helping them get ready for their forever homes. Additionally, I’ve offered my support to friends and family by caring for their beloved pets when they were away, ensuring those furry companions felt comforted and loved. Integrating pet care into our daily and weekly routines is truly vital for nurturing the well-being of our beloved pets and deepening the cherished bond we share with them. Establishing a structured routine helps ensure that the diverse needs of our furry friends are met, positively contributing to their overall health and happiness. Each morning can begin with a gentle touch as we feed and exercise our pets. A consistent feeding schedule not only makes them feel secure and well-nourished but also shows them just how much we care. Morning walks or playful interactions are not just physical exercises; they serve as crucial moments for mental stimulation and connection. Incorporating grooming and hygiene practices into our morning ritual sets a loving tone for the day ahead. During our work or school hours, it’s essential to thoughtfully prepare for their needs by organizing their toys and supplies, ensuring they feel loved and cared for even when we’re away. In the evenings, setting aside time to engage in play fosters not only their mental stimulation but also enriches the bond we hold dear, followed by evening feeds and gentle hygiene checks that ensure our pets are comfortable and clean. Our weekly routines often call for a bit more attention and care. Scheduling veterinary appointments for check-ups and vaccinations is so important for their health and peace of mind. Regular grooming sessions, including baths, can be wonderful bonding experiences. It's also beneficial to give our pets socialization opportunities through playdates, training classes, or fun outings to dog parks and pet-friendly events, enriching their lives while creating beautiful shared memories. Taking the time to check our inventory of food and medications helps ensure that we’re prepared and our pets’ needs are always met, making the act of caring feel even more joyful. To balance these responsibilities smoothly, we can lean on time management tips and encourage family members to help with pet care tasks, helping create a collective sense of responsibility. It’s essential, too, to be flexible and adjust our routines based on the unique needs of each pet and any lifestyle changes we may encounter. Ultimately, committing to a well-thought-out pet care routine not only enhances our pets’ well-being but also strengthens the bond we cherish. By crafting a personalized approach to pet care, we can ensure that our furry companions are happy, healthy, and feel like truly treasured members of our families. Caring for pets in our homes is a profound responsibility that highlights the essential role we play in ensuring their happiness and well-being. The services we provide, whether it’s pet sitting, dog walking, or grooming, are vital to keeping our furry friends healthy and joyful. Understanding the fundamental principles of pet care is truly important. Each pet has unique needs that deserve our attention—this includes their nutritional requirements, exercise routines, and socialization habits. Creating a safe and nurturing environment is crucial, along with regular health checks and timely vaccinations, all of which contribute to the loving responsibility of pet ownership. Pet sitting is a compassionate commitment that begins with thoughtful preparation. Meeting the pet and its owner helps us understand their routines and preferences, enabling us to provide personalized care. Daily tasks, like sticking to feeding schedules, arranging exercise and playtime, and maintaining a clean environment, are all part of making sure our pets feel secure and loved. It’s also important to monitor their behavior; this sensitivity allows us to notice any signs of stress and helps us manage interactions, particularly in households with multiple pets. When it comes to dog walking, taking the time to assess each dog’s individual needs is essential, as every dog has its unique pace and socialization style. Prioritizing safety during walks is key; this means using a leash properly and staying aware of our surroundings. After a fulfilling walk, offering hydration and ensuring the dog has a peaceful time to rest, along with checking for any injuries or ticks, is a significant part of the care we provide. Grooming our pets regularly is another deeply caring aspect of pet ownership. This includes bathing, brushing, clipping nails, and keeping their ears and teeth clean. Grooming routines can vary based on different breeds and coat types, and this time spent together also allows us to detect any skin issues or health concerns early on. We should also make special considerations for senior or special needs pets, as they require extra attention and compassion. Caring for multiple pets in one home comes with its own set of challenges, but with a gentle approach, we can foster harmony. Additionally, being prepared for emergencies by equipping ourselves with first aid knowledge is invaluable and underscores our commitment to our beloved pets. Ultimately, building a trusting and loving relationship with both pets and their owners is at the heart of successful pet care. By dedicating ourselves to ongoing education and adapting to new practices, we become better equipped to meet the ever-evolving needs of our cherished companions.

About: Hi my name is Alexis I'm a full time college student and I nanny as well as pet sit. With that being said, I've always loved all fur babies and started dog sitting locally overnight about 4 years ago. I now help with dog sitting during my stay with clients while being a nanny. Occasionally I will also volunteer and dog walk at Rock and Rescue adoption center in Woodland Hills when I have free time after school. Additionally, I will help a friend of mine who has her own dog walking business walk the dogs and spend time with them if needed. I am hoping to meet you and your fur baby soon and I can't wait to hear back from you! Thank you.

About: I've been caring for pets for over 12 years, growing up in a home with dogs and other animals. From a young age, I helped with feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they felt safe, happy, and loved. I'm currently studying biology in college with the goal of becoming a veterinarian, so caring for animals isn't just something I enjoy—it's the career I'm working toward. I'm passionate about animal health and well-being, and I love getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs. I'm a responsible, patient, and dependable pet sitter who understands that every pet has their own routine. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with company, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I'll treat your pets like they're my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved from the moment I arrive. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give every pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I'm committed to following their normal routine so they feel comfortable and happy while you're away. I'm responsible, dependable, and always make caring for pets a priority. I'll keep you updated throughout each visit with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. I'm generally available from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but I'm always willing to be flexible and accommodate your schedule whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions and your pet's regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed and instructed), and any household rules you have in place. I understand that every pet is different, so I'll take the time to make them feel comfortable while respecting their space and personality. I'll also keep your home clean and secure, making sure doors, gates, and leashes are properly handled at all times. Communication is important to me, so I'll send regular updates and photos during each visit so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Exceptional Care for Luna & Lola! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. She took care of my Great Dane, Lola, and my Belgian Shepherd, Luna, and was truly incredible from start to finish. Her communication was beyond amazing she kept me updated every step of the way, sent so many thoughtful photos, and made sure I always knew how my girls were doing. As a dog mom, that level of communication meant everything. Most importantly, my dogs were not only safe they were genuinely happy, loved, and cared for. You can tell immediately when someone truly loves animals, and that was so evident in the way she cared for both of them. Luna is a high energy Belgian Shepherd, and Lola is a giant sweetheart Great Dane, so caring for both takes someone special and she handled them beautifully. I came home to happy, well loved dogs and complete peace of mind, which is priceless. I would book her again in a heartbeat and absolutely hope she’s available the next time we need care. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
