About: Hi I'm Nita! Over the last 23 years I've had the pleasure of caring for the pets of loved ones, neighbors, and even my own. I'm experienced in short and long term sitting, walking services, medication management and injections, and of course playtime. Your pet's wellbeing is my priority and you can leave them in capable hands and enjoy peace of mind knowing they're receiving the love, attention, and expert care they deserve. Contact me today and ask any questions regarding availability or care for your furry friend.🐾 I'm currently a freelance worker and work mostly remote meaning that I can be available to pet sit or walk with the flexibility that you're seeking. I am extremely respectfully of others' property and dwellings. I want to create a comfortable environment for your fur babies, which is why I prefer to do onsite pet sitting at the clients' homes.
About: I've worked with special needs animals all my life from tri-pawds, deaf, and blind animals to those with dietary restrictions, behavioral issues, anxiety, and sensitivity to stimuli. Currently I am also employed by a farm that has working breads for dogs and barn cats. I work with a changing and flexible schedule and three days off per week, leaving me plenty of time for checking in on your furry friend. My animals have special dietary needs along with special care for allergies and sensitive skin. They receive joint supplements, specially vetted foods, special bathing requirements, and seasonal medications. I'm well versed at the care special needs animals require because of this.
About: I've grown up with many MANY dogs and cats, and am as used to caring for them as I am brushing my teeth. Very secure in loving and handling smaller dogs, as having grown up with three boston terriers. However, I have been a dog walker for small, medium, and large puppers. I take about 3 walks a day outside on my own, and could walk with a dog for hours if needed. Not afraid to clean any animal excrements and get my hands dirty ;) I am almost always free! I cannot do night walks (past 6PM), but am still available for house/pet sitting. My weekends are also almost always free. Starting the end of August this might change, but for now I am basically all yours! As someone who used to have a very anxious dog, I am experienced in creating a stress free environment. For example, I can easily notice when a dog becomes stressed, such as hackles and drooling. I am conscious of the importance of leashing, the importance of constant awareness during walks, and the importance of continued affection. Ready to clean up after any animal, feed any pet on a specific schedule, and also clean a home free of fur. Bonus: I love to give dogs a good bath; Cats too if they let me :)
“Gabriela was great. She shared photos everyday and we could see how happy our dog was. It gave us great peace of mind. We will definitely reach out to Gabriela in the future.”

“Ilona is amazing. Very friendly and takes great care of Munchie on his walks. She also goes the extra mile to help out with anything she can while visiting. I highly recommend her, and I am very happy with her services. 5 out of 5.”

About: I love animals; always have! I used to come home from school and do homework in front of Animal Planet and when it wasn't doing that I was taking care of my neighbor's pets. They had cats, dogs and horses and I looked forward to it every time. My responsibilities included walking, playing, feeding and even reading to them (which I have on good authority was very adorable). I'm very excited to take care of your fur babies for you now! *Ask me about Active & Running services* **Ask me about Pet Portraiture Add-ons** I am currently taking online classes and looking forward to being with animals when I can part time. I am looking forward to meeting new pets and taking care of them in between bouts of homework and studying. I am available for most services! Including drop-in check-ins, letting dogs out to do their business or go on walks or play with your pets. I'm also available to pet-sit and keep them company while they relax in their space. After meeting your pets and learning their specific and unique needs, likes or dislikes, I am available to feed, walk, play most days.
About: I've had two dogs and a cat in my lifetime. I also have 2 years of pet sitting experience for some of my family friends! I have trained my two dogs and can spend hours playing with animals! I am currently unemployed, and searching for work, so my schedule is flexible, and I am looking for ways to make some extra money! I thought this would be an excellent way. I have an apartment, but it's well kept and has plenty of space for animals to play around. There is also a grassy area outside for dogs to play. As for a clients home, I will always make sure to keep it clean and avoid touching anything that isn't meant for me or your beloved pet.
“Julian is amazing! My high-energy puppy loves to walk with him :) My dog had some diarrhea in the house and he cleaned it up for her. I really appreciate his kindness. I will definitely re-book again! :)”

“Ayvan has been great with Goldie! She's prompt at responding and picking up Goldie, she's kind, and Goldie is so happy to see her. I really appreciate Ayvan's care for my pup.”

About: Hi! I'm Kiana, and I have many years of experience with all kinds of pets, both under my own roof and within others' homes. I have owned and loved pets of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and various personalities. I find so much joy in getting to know pets, as they typically reflect their humans- and I'm willing to serve their needs in any way. Ultimately, I'm fully committed to keeping your pet safe, secure, and making sure that they're loved! I'm currently a student on summer break, and I'm searching for a part-time job at the moment. With that being said, I currently have plenty of availability throughout the week. I'm available 8am - 8pm during weekdays and Saturdays, and on Sundays I'm available after 2pm. During times that I am working, though, I typically come early in the morning (or wake up early if I'm already at a client's house), care for the pet(s), go to work, and then come back either during lunch time or at the end of my shift. It all honestly depends on the pets and their needs, but I am completely flexible! When I go to a client's home, I take extra care to respect their property and only go into delegated areas. My job is to care for the pet and maintain the homeowner's trust, so if a mess is made or an accident happens, I go the extra mile to inform the client immediately and take care of it as soon as possible. I want to make sure your pet feels loved and safe, especially within their own home. Even more so, I want the client to feel at ease, knowing that both their property and beloved pet are being cared for!
“Rachel is a caring, attentive and very easygoing person to deal with everything she promised to do, She did, and my dog absolutely loves her. I would recommend her anytime. This was the first time I entrusted anyone either my dog and they hit it off from the get go.”

About: I grew up with a family dog and have been around dogs my entire life! I have around 8–10 years of hands-on care including walking, feeding, bathing, and spending time with pets! I also volunteer at my local animal sanctuary and regularly do so whenever I am back in my hometown; cats and dogs! I love, love animals and would love to make sure your pets are amazingly taken care of! I usually pet sit every week or so! 😊 I would love to take great care of your pets and treat them like my own! I would want to follow the owner’s procedures and rules regarding their pet in respect to their wishes and usual routine. I also would care for the pets in regards to their feeding times, bathing, walking, and more I will need to do!
About: Safety, trust & environment I have volunteered for the past five years training and raising dogs for Guide Dogs of America, an organization that raises, trains, and pairs dogs with people with blindness, veterans with PTSD, and kids with autism. I’ve also spent two decades raising and training my own dogs, working across different breeds, temperaments, and life stages. I’m especially skilled at supporting: • Dogs who are anxious, sensitive, or easily overstimulated • Puppies building confidence and structure • Dogs who benefit from calm routines and positive reinforcement I am currently building a doggy daycare business in Santa Clarita and would love to meet you and your furry kid! I am available at any time during the week to fit your schedule during daylight hours. Please connect with me!! My care philosophy is rooted in positive psychology and positive reinforcement—focusing on what helps dogs thrive rather than using fear, punishment, or aversive methods. I believe dogs do best when they feel safe, understood, and supported.
About: I would love to meet and take care of your pup or kitty! I grew up with several dogs and cats in my house and have always been a huge animal advocate. I’ve been helping to take care of them myself for the past 14-17 years, and I have a cat and dog of my own currently. I love hanging out with dogs, taking them on walks or fun adventures, and snuggling with them in the mornings and at night. If you have any special preferences or needs I am more than happy to work with you on those! I can not wait to meet your fur baby! Ask how you can get $20 off your first booking with me! I currently work from home so I’m very flexible on where I need to be to help take care of your pups and kitties! I also am very flexible and love to go on hikes so I can step away and spend a good chunk of time outside with them! I love to cuddle with dogs, so I’m more than happy to give them all of the love they need. I let dogs on my bed and other furniture so if they need to be close by, they are more than welcome. If they like to keep to themselves in their own home, I’m also happy to give them their space!
About: Dogs have been around my life ever since I was a child. I feel that the power of healing from animals is so vital to growth and companionship in our lives. I have owned and raised several dogs from the “rescue puppy” phase, all the way to end of life care for our lovable senior dogs. Frankly, I love dogs more than people and I’ll always make sure to give your animals the care and attention they need, as if they were my very own. I am happy to discuss specific needs that you have for your animal and will do my best to make sure we are a proper fit, both personality-wise and schedule-wise. I love to make sure that each pet’s experience is customized to what works best for them and for you. Happy to discuss certain dietary and/or medical details, types of walks and/or toys they enjoy most as well as make sure that all of us are comfortable with the relationship before moving forward. I think that’s the most important part of building trust with myself, you, and your furry friends.

Rachel is a caring, attentive and very easygoing person to deal with everything she promised to do, She did, and my dog absolutely loves her. I would recommend her anytime. This was the first time I entrusted anyone either my dog and they hit it off from the get go.

Deanna did an excellent job caring for and walking Polo. She followed all of our instructions and sent plenty of photos reassuring that everything was going well. She handled every situation confidently, and Polo even got a new toy! We’d definitely contact Deanna again to take care of Polo :)

Jake did a great job with our crazy hyper dog and also our super cautious dog. He let our cautious dog come up to him whenever he wanted and sniff around him, allowing him to feel safe, without feeling the need to make the dog like him (which has been a huge mistake others have made with our dog in the past). So he is one of those people who has very good dog energy, if you have a timid/scared dog that needs someone like that around. He also kept our crazy dog busy with ball throwing the whole visit. We were really happy with him overall. :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
