It’s Makana’s first time to socialize with 2 dogs since she turned 2 yrs old due to some health issues when she’s a pup. About: I have always had dogs growing up and frequently took charge of their needs as their primary caregiver, scheduling vet visits, feeding, bathing, & walking our dogs. I started working as a dog bather in January 2022 and even though (as of a few months ago) I have since transitioned careers I still miss working with dogs (also cats and rabbits) and interacting with them on a daily basis. I am a proven gentle handler with a knack for big and small dogs as well as cats and rabbits. I was formally a dog bather but I frequently assisted the groomers in handling the other animals like cats, rabbits, and Guinea pigs during shave downs and haircuts. I have learned so much about handling and husbandry from experienced groomers who supervised me in the salon and almost became a groomer myself. I love animals and I love working with them. I was known to be the bather that took on the large and difficult dogs due to my ability to handle them tenderly and with immense patience. Some of the favorite animals I miss from work are Charlotte and Maggie, the two Rottweilers who were so bad that the groomer used the be the only one who could do them and only with the muzzle on. I was able to not only fully bathe and dry them with a double motor blow dryer, but I was also able to eventually transition them off the muzzle with kind words and encouragement to the sweet girls. I also greatly miss the darling puppy Karlotta who I bathed every time she had come in since her very first bath. She was very nervous at first but soon started walking in like she owned the place. That is the main reason I want to work with animals again, to be able to say that I helped a dog or animal in some way without having to use aggression, dominance, or force. Currently, I am working a full-time job, from 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday. If the animal is in my home for boarding or day care I can provide walks on my breaks and lunch since I work from home. I have a 5 year old Siberian Husky in my home who is in crate trained and who loves other dogs. The introductions between pets would be slow with safety being the paramount factor. She would be in the crate in the living room when unsupervised and the pet would stay in my room if a client needed me to provide care for them in my home. I have a force-free handling philosophy.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, but my biggest experience comes from raising my two Blue Heelers from puppies. My oldest is 15 years old and my other is 7, so I’ve had years of experience learning how different dogs can be at every stage of life. About: I've been caring for pets for years through my own fur babies (6 year English Bull Dog named Maya and previously a 10 year old boxer named Sugar), as well as helping my friends and family with their fur babies while they're away or helping with walks. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable you can trust to care for pet, and I treat every fur baby with all the love as if they were my own. About: Nothing has moved me more than helping people. I’ve always said to myself if I can, I will. I have 5 dogs myself, 4 Yorkies and 1 German Shepherd. I will admit it’s not the smoothest, but I remind myself how much of a blessing pets can be in our life, and the unconditional love they give that should be reciprocated. With the amount of pets I have in my house, I have been able to figure out and create a safe space for them, body language speaks volumes! In addition to that, understanding and respecting a dogs boundaries is very crucial to building trust, on top of them associating being fed and attended to with me. When it comes to homes, I want to be as flexible as possible when it comes to accommodations, housekeeping, etc. since your space deserves to be cared for how you feel is best!
About: I've had pets almost my entire life. I grew up with a household of shiba inus that had multiple litters, so I was exposed to puppies at a young age. When I started living on my own, I had my own dog that I adopted at 6 months old and my beautiful furry companion passed at 15 years old. “We left our Shiba Inu over a long weekend with Stacey. Our experience was wonderful. The house is great and Stacey’s whole family was so accommodating and loving to our dog. The back yard is large and all fenced in, and our dog was allowed both in and outside. Stacey spent lots of time playing fetch with our dog, taught her a new trick ( to lay down), and spent lots of time giving her pets and cuddles. This was the first time we have ever left our dog and we were nervous but Stacey sent us so many pictures and updates, and she really took care to make us feel at ease. We were able to have a nice vacation away and our dog was safe and loved while we were gone. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!”
“We went on a cruise for 7 nights and Jeff and Danielle took great care of my girl Roxy. It was so important that I could trust them as they would not be able to get in touch with me for most of my trip. After the first night they noticed a blocked anal gland and immediately asked permission to take her to the vet if things didn't clear up. Arrangements were made but they didn't have to take her becuase it resolved on its own (grateful that we didn't have to spend the money and also that they were attentive enough to notice this in the first place). They sent me pictures of her having a blast with their sweet dog and kept me up to date on how she was doing. I would highly recommend using them for your dog sitting needs and can't wait for Roxy to stay with them again.”
