“Erin was the absolute best! She was so sweet to my dog Sumo, took great care of him while we were gone. I will definitely be booking again with her. Thanks again, Erin! 😊”

“We love Gabriela! Our dog is stubborn and she figured out the best way to get the little nut to go outside when he feels like being difficult as chihuahuas love to do. She’s amazing!”

About: I have owned animals my entire life including dogs, cats, horses, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have helped take care of even more including a bunny, a goat, a pig, chickens, a leopard gecko, and a bearded dragon. I have experience with dogs ages 0-12+, and cats ages 0-16. I also have experience giving dogs medication including insulin shots. I have additional time between caring for my own animals, and animals that I am taking care of for family/friends to help out whoever needs it on days that I don’t also have work! I always treat every animal I come in contact with like they are my own, and I do everything I can to make sure that every animal is taken care of to the best of my ability. Even if I am just doing a drop in or a walk, I will use any amount of time I have to build trust with your pets.

About: Hi my name is Rebecca 🙂 My husband and I currently have two indoor house cats, Ruby and Flora. I previously worked through Rover and have recently reactivated my services. I work from home so I have flexible availability to check in on your kitties in the for feeds and pets. Just let me know what would work best for you! I am not currently sitting pets in my own home. I am always accommodating to kitties in their own home and will always do my best to make them feel comfortable and cared for. One of my current cats is skiddish around strangers so I am very understanding when it comes to shy kitties.
About: I've had two dogs and a cat in my lifetime. I also have 2 years of pet sitting experience for some of my family friends! I have trained my two dogs and can spend hours playing with animals! I am currently unemployed, and searching for work, so my schedule is flexible, and I am looking for ways to make some extra money! I thought this would be an excellent way. I have an apartment, but it's well kept and has plenty of space for animals to play around. There is also a grassy area outside for dogs to play. As for a clients home, I will always make sure to keep it clean and avoid touching anything that isn't meant for me or your beloved pet.
“Tami is a wonderful sitter! Our pup Shadow is skittish with new people, but she’s patient, calm, and comfortable with him. Communication is easy and frequent - we really appreciate her and will absolutely keep using her services.”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 9 years old, which has given me years of hands-on experience with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. From playful puppies who are still learning routines to sweet senior dogs who need patience and gentle care, I’ve learned how to adapt to each dog and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m very attentive, calm, and genuinely enjoy building trust with every dog I care for. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel happy, cared for, and at home while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends, which means I can provide consistent, reliable care any day of the week. I enjoy structuring my days around pets—making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. Because my schedule is flexible, I’m able to adapt to each dog’s routine and give them plenty of time, love, and supervision. I care for pets by following their usual routines as closely as possible, whether they’re in my home or their own. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise, bathroom breaks, and lots of attention and affection. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, energy level, and any special needs so they feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and focused on keeping pets relaxed in their familiar environment. My goal is always to provide calm, loving, and reliable care so pets feel happy and owners feel at ease.
About: I love dogs and have been around them all of my life. I am always taking care of or sitting for my friends or families dogs. I understand how difficult it is to entrust your dog in somebody else’s care, and I would take care of your fur baby the exact same way you would take care of them. I am available full-time to taking care of your pets. I am available for walks and drop-in visits in your home. I can make frequent drop-in visits to ensure your pet is comfortable, cared for and happy. Your pets will never be left unsupervised and they will always receive lots of cuddles and playtime. You will always receive updates, pictures and videos of your baby at all times. Your dog will always be cared for.
About: I love animals; always have! I used to come home from school and do homework in front of Animal Planet and when it wasn't doing that I was taking care of my neighbor's pets. Cats, dogs and horses and I looked forward to it every time. My responsibilities included walking, playing, feeding and even reading to them (which I have on good authority was very adorable). I'm very excited to take care of your fur babies for you! Fear Free Leader in Animal Wellbeing graduate. *Ask me about Active & Running services* **Ask me about Pet Portraiture Add-ons** I am currently taking online classes and looking forward to being with animals when I can part time. I am looking forward to meeting new pets and taking care of them in between bouts of homework and studying. I am available for most services! Including drop-in check-ins, letting dogs out to do their business or go on walks or play with your pets. I'm also available to pet-sit and keep them company while they relax in their space. After meeting your pets and learning their specific and unique needs, likes or dislikes, I am available to feed, walk, play most days.
About: I've taken care of many pets in my life. I have watched my mom use Rover for many years and have helped with many stays and walks. During this time, I have gained experience working with pets who have specialized needs and require more attention than others. Energetic or not, all pets are different and require a good sitter who knows what to expect and handle many situations, and that's me! I can take your pet on walks or watch over them, making sure they're safe and sound. Updates every couple of hours will allow owners to feel peace of mind knowing their pet is in good hands. I am available most days of the week and can help through early mornings or later in the evening. Pet care fits into my schedule and I will respond to any inquiries immediately! During walks, I can avoid other animals if that is required for your pet. We will spend quality time together and a good environment and trust can make your pet feel even happier during the walk. At home I am able to crate pets if necessary and give any medication that is required for them. Those pets with accessibility needs, I am able to carry them downstairs or upstairs if necessary and provide all other senior related care.
“Yesica, you cared for my dog like she was your own. When I got back I could tell that she was happy and taken care of. You went above and beyond! I’m so glad I met you! Thank you!”

“Jessica was amazing! We really appreciated all of updates & pictures throughout the day. Sadie got all the attention and play time she needs while we are away at work. Definitely look forward to working with Jessica again! ☺️”

“Kimberly was excellent. She kept in communication with us and sent us photos of Dusty during her visit. I'm relieved to have someone as caring as her to check on my dog while we are out. Would book again.”

About: I’m an animal communicator with a deep, intuitive connection to animals — I don’t just care for your pets, I actually listen to them. I’ve spent my life alongside dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and needs, including my own two girls, Daisy and Chloe. I understand animal behavior, body language, and emotional wellbeing on a level that goes beyond feeding and walks. Senior pets, anxious dogs, and strong-willed characters are my specialty. Your fur family will be safe, seen, and genuinely loved while you’re away. I’m currently available full time through mid-September, making this a great time to book! After that I take on seasonal evening work Thursday through Sunday, so I’m still available for daytime care and drop-ins year round. I’ll always be upfront about my schedule so you can plan with confidence. My home has a fenced yard, though the fencing is low enough that larger dogs could potentially jump it. I supervise all outdoor time with bigger dogs until I know their behavior well, so everyone stays safe. My two dogs, Daisy and Chloe are social, dog-park regulars who welcome new friends easily. I have crates available for large dogs if needed, and I’m happy to sit in your home as well if that’s a better fit for your pet.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Newhall
Erin is so attentive and caring! I absolutely hate leaving our baby girl behind. She hates being alone, plus she breaks out of her onesie that covers a wound. We are so grateful for Erin sending photos and messaging us the whole way through. She knew how important it was to me to get that peace of mind. She’s amazing!

Gabriela is so great! She's conscientious, reliable, and totally trustworthy. She visited my cat every day when I was out of town for a week. Gabriela fed her, cleaned up, and sent me photos and text updates -- even alerted me that a smoke alarm needed a new battery. I felt safe going out of town. Gabriela had everything handled! I will book her again, for sure. I highly recommend her, no question.

Hallie was very helpful in checking in on my pup koda several times throughout the day. Helped to ensure he got a nice walk and some potty breaks. Very professional, timely, and courteous. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone with a pup in need of a check in/walk.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
