About: Ive had furry best friends since the day I was born, I know how special they are! Making other people and pets happy makes me happy. I currently have open availability, I’m in college and I use Rover to make money doing what I love! I’m very flexible when it comes to getting up early or staying up late for pet care. I have 3 dogs, one super needy frenchie and two crazy golden retrievers. I also have a black kitty. I’ve seen it all and done it all from house sitting for weeks to a simple walk around the neighborhood.
About: I have been a pet owner my entire life and have experience caring for a wide range of breeds, from small to large dogs. I also have experience with senior dogs, special-needs dogs, and administering medication when needed. I’m very patient and attentive with animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, and completely at home while they’re in my care. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I currently have full availability for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop-in care. My partner and I both work from home, which means pets staying with us get plenty of attention and are rarely left alone for extended periods. Because we’re home throughout the day, I’m also able to accommodate frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication schedules, and pets who may need a little extra companionship or supervision. I live in a spacious 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhouse in a gated community with a private side yard, giving your pup plenty of room to relax, play, and feel comfortable. Our neighborhood is great for walks, and there is also a dog park just up the hill for pups who enjoy some extra exercise and outdoor time. There’s plenty of indoor space for beds, toys, crates, and quiet areas for dogs who prefer having their own space.
About: Work-from-home pet lover here! My home is quiet, pet-free, and perfect for animals who need extra comfort or one-on-one attention. I adore animals of every kind and can accommodate walks, playtime, feedings, meds, and cuddles. I’m all about making pets feel safe and owners feel confident while they’re away. I work full time mostly from home! I only go to the office when we have large projects or 1 or 2 times a week. I have plenty of time to take care of your furry friend I have a fenced area for your cutie babies and will respect your space as if it was my own! Just want your animals to be happy and comfy in my care.
About: I love caring for and protecting all animals; dogs, cats, other mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and/or insects. Essentially if it eats, breaths and needs maintenance, I am able to take care of it. I've had several dogs in my life, from small to large sized dogs. I have also owned a couple exotic pets that required unique needs and diets. I have no issue with cleanup or waste removal that may be needed while caring for any extended family member. Not having any other obligations other than "Rover" (besides my GF) I am able to dedicate my full attention on the services I am providing to care for the loved ones I am entrusted to. I have experience and I am able to train, if requested.
About: Hello! I have experience with senior dogs and special needs pups (my current pup has epilepsy). I understand the importance of being timely with meds, cleaning up messes, noticing if anything is off, providing structure, and showing so much love. I look forward to taking excellent care of your dog(s). I’m currently out of work and waiting for a new job to begin, so I have plenty of time to make sure your pet gets their food and meds at the right time, and to make sure they feel safe and loved with me. I am cognizant of dogs who try to escape, so I am careful when entering your home and meeting your pet(s). I don’t make loud noises or sudden movements, waiting for your pet(s) to sense my calm before I proceed. I am respectful of your space and your possessions whenever I am in your home.
About: I have had many pets of all kinds. I love them all. As well as my own pets I have experience with other animals from volunteering at the West Valley Animal shelter as well as pet sitting for family and friends. I am very passionate about animal welfare. I’m happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and just keeping them company. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away, giving you peace of mind they’re in good hands. I am currently not working so my schedule is very flexible. I am available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I love to hang out with my own pets and would love to hang out with yours too! I have two dogs, one cat, and two birds. The dogs and cat have access to a doggy/cat dog that leads to the back yard which is fenced in.
“If I could leave Breanna 10 million stars I would. She went above and beyond with caring for the dogs. She was helpful and kind, and she gave me incredible peace of mind that I was leaving them in good hands.”
About: I have taken care of many dogs. I used to have a Samoyed and a multipoo myself for many years previously. I love how affectionate dogs are. I am great at sticking to feeding schedules. I enjoy petting and playing with a dog kindly and gently. I have a big backyard that is fenced where a dog can run and play safely. I work part time, not everyday, and just a few hours a day, so I am a great companion to your sweet lovable pet. I am gentle, caring, loving, warm hearted. I am very empathetic to pets because they are loving beings. I will often take them for bathroom breaks, pet, and feed on schedule. I want the pet to feel safe and happy and the owner to relax and enjoy their time away. I have a fenced backyard. I accept cats or small dogs only. The pet will have space to run and play. I am gentle with my voice and my affection to the pet. I have a big heart and am also good at keeping a feeding schedule. I am warm hearted and responsible.

“Hector did such a great job! He was super flexible and came over to meet my dog beforehand just to make sure my doggy would behave. On the day of the visit he took care of my dog and got him to play and run around outside. He even brought a package in for me! I will definitely be booking Hector for all my dog-sitting needs!”

“It was lovely to meet Janelle. She was right on time for our meet and greet, stayed long enough to get all important information, asked good questions and was gentle and kind with my senior dog. I am sorry we were not able to work together this time but I do think Janelle would be a good sitter for someone else.”

“This is my second time having Anna take care of my cat, and I couldn’t be happier! She is so caring and loving, which I so appreciate! I know my fur baby is in good hands when I leave her with Anna. Can not recommend enough!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
