About: I’ve taken care of multiple breeds of dogs and I have looked over puppies to senior dogs. I love staying active and getting our little fur friends the attention they need while you’re away. I’m currently working full time so I’d be available anytime on the weekends or early morning/ late nights. I’m looking to make a new schedule so I’m open to making new availability. I have my own apartment with security fences and a very walkable neighborhood with a lot of parks near by for walking and play. Very private apartment very relaxing for any fur friends who might be a little nervous.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for a long time for neighbors, friends, and coworkers! I’d love to meet your babies and provide whatever they need for their different personalities and needs! I’m currently working part time and would have a lot of time during the week for overnight stays, walking, drop in visits or whatever you need! I’m very loving and have a lot of experience with different types of dogs and cats. More than happy to help with more skittish animals or those more standoffish to people.

About: I have always been a big animal lover. My family had always had at least 2 dogs and cats in our household, so I grew up taking care of animals. I’m very reliable for sitting, potty breaks, medication, etc. I’ve pet sat for family and friends growing up. Currently not working, so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. Very flexible schedule. Looking to make take care of your beloved pets while you’re out of town! I always make sure that I respect my clients homes and animals as if they were my own. It was lovely to meet Janelle. She was right on time for our meet and greet, stayed long enough to get all important information, asked good questions and was gentle and kind with my senior dog. I am sorry we were not able to work together this time but I do think Janelle would be a good sitter for someone else.

Anna checked in on my cats while I was out of town for about a week and I felt completely at ease having spoken with her and then again after meeting with her and seeing how my cats took to her right away. I loved getting updates and photos every time she stopped in, it definitely made leaving them a little easier!!

About: My first pet was a pigeon that I basically raised since they was a little featherless peep. I also thought them to fly! I was 12 years old. Since then, I have worked as a professional pet sitter in Long Beach, CA with a small company (shout out Happy Tails to You) and for Wag! (another app). I have experience working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I try to adjust to each pet's personalities. I also adjust to each pet parent's preference and do not mind reading and following your step-by-step instruction for taking care of your pet. I actually prefer a manual as there no one who knows your pet more than you! When I am not dog sitting, I am working with adults and kids with developmental disabilities as a behavior consultant. AND when I am not working, I am hanging out my two cats and dog! I am available early mornings (before 9am), afternoons (after 2pm), evenings, and weekends. I work a part-time job that is flexible with my schedule (I work on-site and remotely). When I am in your home, whatever instructions you provide, I will follow. The more details the better, as no one knows your pets more than you. I also try to work with your pet's personality and needs. I don't mind looking after pets with special needs or need extra care.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I bring to everything I do. I'm an active person who genuinely loves spending time outdoors, so taking dogs on fun, engaging walks is something I truly enjoy, not just a job. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and believe every dog deserves individualized care. Whether that means sticking to their usual walking routine, making sure they get plenty of exercise, or giving them extra patience and affection, I'll treat your dog as if they were my own. While I don't have professional dog training experience, I have cared for and trained my own puppy, which taught me the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and paying attention to a dog's unique personality and needs. I'm committed to providing a safe, reliable, and enjoyable experience so you can have peace of mind while your pup is in my care. Pet care fits seamlessly into my current routine. I have a flexible schedule and full availability throughout the week, which allows me to dedicate my time and attention to each dog I care for. I genuinely enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so dog walking is something I look forward to every day. As I'm exploring my next career opportunity, I have the flexibility to provide dependable care, accommodate different schedules, and give each pet the attention they deserve. Whether it's a daily walk or a last-minute booking, I'm committed to being reliable, responsive, and making sure every dog has a safe, fun experience. When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while respecting the routine they're used to. I know how important communication is, so I'll provide updates and photos after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pup is happy and in good hands. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own.

About: Since 2009, I have had dogs... I absolutely love them (and really all animals)! I cared for my two dogs until their passing at approximately 9 years of age since they were puppies. While in graduate school, I volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter for a few months taking care of pigeons, such as feeding them and cleaning their cages. So, if you have some unusual animals- I am open to taking care of them too! I also had a 2 week experience cat sitting for my cousin's senior cat by feeding/giving her water and general watching her. So, I have good experience with taking care of cats too although I have never had a cat personally. At the moment, I have my senior dog, Mr. Beau, an 11 year American Staff Terrier I adopted in 2023 at the shelter. While I was at the Oakland Animal Shelter, staff made it known that senior animals are the most often overlooked animals for adoption and that made me feel sad :( So once I was able to, I made it a mission to adopt a senior pup, and I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision. As with any senior (including humans), they come with special needs, such as different medications, loss of hearing, limited walking, increase in illnesses, etc. My dog has had many complications, but with my great patience with senior pups, I feel confident in taking care of their specific needs! I know what it is like to trust strangers with taking care of your pet- its scary! Mr. Beau has specific senior needs and is picking, so I hope my experience can make you feel more comfortable with choosing me to take care of your pet when you're away! Experience: senior dogs, puppies, cats, birds, or other types of pets. I am open-minded! I was laid off from my job at the end of June, so I while I am applying to full time work, I have time to take care of pets in the meantime to fill my weekly schedule! While I cannot provide pet sitting services at my own home because my dog is not friendly with other dogs (sad face), I am skilled in meeting with my where my clients are at. I love to ask questions about the pet's history, current physical state, quirks, boundaries, etc. so I don't cause unnecessary stress or issues. Depending on the pet's attitudes and boundaries, I am open to playing, walking, or just simply checking in on them. I want to try to make their environment as healthy and safe as possible, so for instance, if its too hot in the house, I'd like to verify with the owner is opening a window or using the air conditioner is okay.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was young, and over the past 10 years I’ve pet sat, house sat, and provided childcare for more than 10 different families. I’m experienced with feeding, walks, playtime, litter boxes, administering basic routines, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I take the time to earn their trust while keeping owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I have a flexible schedule and am available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, playtime, feeding, a walk, or overnight care, I’m happy to work with your routine. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will do my best to accommodate their normal schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own, following your instructions closely and keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I’ll provide regular photo and text updates, make sure doors and gates are secure, keep food and water fresh, clean litter boxes or pick up after walks, and give your pet plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while you’re away.

About: Ive had furry best friends since the day I was born, I know how special they are! Making other people and pets happy makes me happy. I currently have open availability, I’m taking college courses online and summer is approaching. I’m indifferent to getting up early or staying up late for pet care. I have 3 dogs, one super needy frenchie and two crazy golden retrievers. I also have a black kitty. I’ve seen it all and done it all from house sitting for weeks to a simple walk around the neighborhood.

About: Hello, fellow pet lovers! My name is Crystal, and together with my roommate Jinny, I’m thrilled to offer a loving haven for your furry friends. We live in a spacious, pet-friendly home that's perfect for pet visitors and overnight guests. I have two wonderful Pomeranians—one is a charming 20 lb tan furball, and the other is a delightful 9 lb blue merle sweetheart. We also have the pleasure of sharing our home with Yangi, our American Domestic Shorthair cat. Pets have been a central part of my life since childhood, having raised not only dogs but a variety of small pets including rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs. Jinny shares this passion for animals, and she has two beautiful German Shepherds that enjoy lounging in our large backyard. We understand the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pets are in good hands, and we strive to ensure that all animals in our care are treated with the love and attention they receive at home. Our household is perfect for pets needing a cozy stay. Jinny and her husband work from home, ensuring someone is always around to offer a comforting presence, while I am home most of the time during weekdays and all weekend. We’re introverts in our mid 30s and early 40s, so our idea of a great time is being surrounded by wagging tails and purring companions rather than nights out in the town. We look forward to welcoming your pet to our home, where their comfort and happiness are our top priorities. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or to arrange a meet-and-greet. We can't wait to become part of your pet's extended family! I am home most of the time, and my roommates work from home! Someone is available to watch your baby/ies carefully all day~ I am also home all weekend as well, so I can give your pet my full attention. If you are crate training your dog, we can definitely do that at night. For my pets, they all freely roam the house. If your dog is not properly potty trained, we just ask that you provide doggie diapers for their stay, and we’re all good to go~

About: I provide calm, home-style boarding with maximum of 2 dogs at a time, so each dog gets plenty of attention and space. My home has a large, fully gated yard and an open layout, so dogs can move freely and feel comfortable-no overcrowding or stress. I am experianced with dogs up to 80 lbs and focus on creating a safe, relaxed environment, especially for dogs who don't do well in busy boarding settings. I keep routines consistent and send regular updates, photos, and videos so you always know how your dog is doing. this is a great fit for dogs who enjoy a calm, clean and secure home while you're away. I always had dogs in my family and I was taking care of them. Also, I took care of our family’s and friend’s dogs. I like to interact, to play with them, that they won’t feel alone. Fortunately, I am home always to give potty breaks, provide treats, and get in some cuddle and playtime. I always had dogs.. Three years ago, I had three dogs. Two of them passed away. Third one, Chihuahua, who passed away last year. I missed my dogs. It’s very soon and difficult for me to get another dog, but I will be happy to have guest pets in our house. I live in a house with backyard. I have a fully fenced backyard if your pup loves to be outside. I am home all day and night, and dogs are my life. I take them out for walks around a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Lots of birds, trees, squirrels, and all the fun stuff dogs enjoy.

This was my first time using Rover, and Genesis was the perfect dog sitter for our dog, Sheldon. My dog is pretty picky, but Genesis was able to make friends with him very quickly. She was very kind and playful with him, and I felt totally comfortable trusting him into her care. She went above and beyond making sure he was taken care of. I loved how well she kept me updated, with pictures and updates on how Sheldon was doing. Each time she sent me pictures of him playing, it reassured me that I made the right decision, having Genesis looking after him. She looked after our house while we were gone and left it exactly how I left it. I feel like I got very lucky finding her. I will definitely rebook Genesis to look after our dog.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Granada Hills stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Granada Hills. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
