“Alexis & Melisa were incredibly kind. They took care of our dog and he loves them so much. During the meet and greet my dog felt at ease which helped us trusting them without any worry. They kept updating about what my dog is doing and kept sending pictures and videos. My dog loved staying with them. Thank you Alexis and Melisa for hosting our dog. I recommend them for your dog.”

“Rachel and Preston sent daily videos/pics and updates and took great care of Moki. He even received a Christmas plushie during his stay over the holidays. Thank you!!”

“Absolutely loving & caring! Anhdao was so friendly from the beginning. We received daily updates with photos, and Dexter seemed very happy staying there. Kingston, their dog, seemed so friendly as well. It felt like Dexter had his own vacation! Will definitely recommend.”

“Our nonprofit, Military Animal Project, has used Armando twice now for Veterans. We are serving. Armando is easy to work with, very responsive, and when possible Armando can even accommodate some personal requests for the Veterans. Working with Armando through rover.com has made it possible for us to respond immediately to a veteran in crisis and immediately assist their pets in need.. We will continue to reach out to Armando and we appreciate his efforts to assist us with our veterans.”

“We are so happy we found Candy to watch our dog, Roscoe while we were away on vacation. Roscoe is a bit picky when it comes to bigger dogs and strangers but Candy was able to handle it really well and after a couple of days, he was happily playing with the other dogs. Candy is also very easy to reach and will always respond to messages, which is a big plus =) ”

“Mary Ann & Family are exceptional sitters. This was our first time leaving our 4 month old Puppy. Naturally we were scared & worried that no one would give him the love and attention that he’s used to but Mary Ann sincerely proved to us that she has a passion fo what she she’s. Gguciiuu”

“Hayley and Arthur are very dedicated, professional and above all, they really love dogs! They understand animals and their needs. They have 2 dogs of their own and they were very attentive to properly introduce them to our pups. Beside having access to a large, safe backyard, our pups were taken for walks and offered plenty of attention. Hayley was so kind to take the time to send us daily updates as well as pictures and videos. It was so obvious that both Vanilla and Riley, our pups, were having a blast in their home! We are grateful to have found them, and we highly recommend their services.❤️”

“Our dog was happy, so we were happy to see our pet satisfied! Thank you so much, Sonia. Hope to see soon! Definitely I will advise to choose Sonia as a sitter for your pet!”

“Our dogs stayed with Annabelle & Ben for one night as a trial before our longer, upcoming trip. Everything went really smoothly and we appreciated their communication with frequent updates and pictures on how they were doing.”

“Breanna and her boys took great care of Koda. He is a husky and is in the middle of blowing his winter coat, I can tell they brushed him often. I would definitely leave Koda with them again. He was walked often and played with daily. It is so nice to be able to go away and not have to worry about our furry family member.”

“Patricia was extremely attentive and caring for my dog Toffee as if she was her own. I usually don’t travel because of my senior dog and her needs but Patricia really put all of that to ease. Highly recommend her and would definitely re-book!”

“Lizet was wonderful with bear. She gives you updates and photos/ videos on your pet which it really appreciative of. She treats your pets like they were her own. Bear felt comfortable with lizet and you can tell she enjoyed her stay with lizet. Bear found her forever sitter and new friends 😁💙”

“Renata and her husband were top notch. Constant updates and pictures, absolutely the most kind people I’ve ever encountered. Will hope to return soon, my dog ace loves them. Thank you for everything! Highly recommend them. We are incredibly picky when it comes to letting someone watch our fur baby. So grateful to you guys!”

“Kelsey did a great job with sending us photos and updates, which put our mind at ease! It was great to know that our dog was content and happy in her care. We will definitely rebook with Kelsey!”

“Hasmik was great. I had never left my baby with anyone. She took such good care of him that he didn't even miss his mom and dad. He is our first (human or otherwise) so we were very nervous. She sent lots of photos and put my mind at ease. She will be my go to sitter.😊”

“Rachel is amazing. I felt really comfortable leaving our Lab with her . She took excellent care of him and he was very happy. Definitely going to book again . Thank you so much”

Found my dog’s new sitter! I felt at ease on my trip because I felt I can trust Armando, he is attentive and kind! Booking with Armando was easy and he responded very quickly. His open availability is a huge plus and my dog looked happy when I picked him up so I know he had a fun filled weekend :D

Hasmik took great care of Juno and Josie and sent updates during their stay. Her home was clean and suitable for dogs of all sizes and the neighborhood is lovely with grass patches at every house.Booking was also smooth with clear communication. Juno and Josie loved it here and I’m sure your dog(s) will too!

Jenny made me feel at ease right away when I dropped Pearl off with her the first time. And she did send daily pics after I requested them. But the most important observation was that Pearl went with her right away when I handed her the leash instead of trying to run back to me, which doesn’t always happen with other sitters.

Rosha was amazing! She took such great care of Fish and sent me photos and updates. He looked so happy in each of them and he was nicely worn out from playing when I picked him up. Highly recommend her! If we are ever back in the area we will see you again. Thank you so much!

Lost count how many times we’ve had Milhouse there. He loves it there and is always a little sad to leave. They have a new pup DoDo - super sweet and playful with Milhouse. Jesse is awesome - always sends us plenty of videos of our boy and his friends. Appreciate the care her and her partner provide, even on stormy weekends!

Janelle took amazing care of our pug, Sherman, while we were out of town for a few days. She kept us updated every day with photos and little notes, which gave us total peace of mind. It was clear Sherman was happy and well cared for the entire time. We would absolutely hire Janelle again for dog sitting!

Janeece is a wonderful dog sitter. From the meet and greet through Zoey's stay, she understood her needs and was kind and patient. She looked for ways to engage Zoey, played with her, and slowly coaxed her into longer walks in a new neighborhood. It was so great to find someone to take care of Zoey that understood an older dog with a little anxiety. I'm very thankful.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
