“Natalie is wonderful! From the moment I messaged her a booking request, I could tell she would be a great choice. She reached out to ask some thorough questions so she would know how to best care for my little pup. Upon arrival, she was already waiting outside, so it was easy to find her. She provided clear pictures and updates throughout the day, and I appreciate that she made sure my little guy ate (sometimes he’s not fed with other sitters, since he just wants to play). Upon pick-up, she was already waiting with him and all his items, and afterwards, she provided a very clear report. I will definitely be using her again!”

“Such a sweet family! It takes a while for My Baby Bailey to warm up to people, but Bailey immediately adored them! For that, I know Bailey truly enjoyed staying with Alexis, Melissa & their baby! She was very attentive to him and sent me tons of photos and videos to make me feel at ease. They are such a warm loving, caring family that took such amazing care of my baby while I was away for work! I would highly recommend them!”

“Chase took amazing care of Mocha. He took many photos throughout the day and updated me on how she was doing. He accommodated some of my specific requests which was very much appreciated! He gave full attention to Mocha and she loved every second of it. I felt very comfortable with his care of her. Highly recommend and would definitely use him again in the future!”

“Elise was great! She was able to watch our doggos on short notice, and I really appreciated her patience and flexibility. The dogs came back exhausted! Which I love and it was clear they had a fun, relaxing time. Would definitely recommend her and book again!”

“She was lovely and very understanding. My dog usually has a hard time playing with other dogs or even going with other people but she had no problem and Mason looked happy.”

“Brody had a great time at Susan’s house and loved her dog (his look alike!) as well. I appreciated her quick communication and pictures through the day. She was very flexible and accommodating! I definitely recommend her!”

“So glad I found Brooke! My dog has a big separation anxiety but she came back happy. She sent me photos and let me know how she was doing while I was away. I feel my pup loved her and I’ll def leave my pup again when I need to!”

“We were very lucky to have found Brooke! We needed a last minute sitter that could watch our pup for the entire day with a late-night pickup, and she was happy to accommodate us. She was very communicative throughout the stay, and it was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands with all the pictures & updates that were sent to us. Brooke is an absolute gem - we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Took our 2 dogs for their first time ever in a doggy daycare setting or even being social with other dogs. Ryan and Abby made the whole situation so much less stressful and the updates during the day put me at such ease. Already booked with them for a weekend. 🙂”

“Marcelo and his wife provided exceptional care for my dog, Tobie. Despite Tobie's initial protectiveness and territorial behavior, they persevered, demonstrating consistent effort and understanding. They remained undeterred by his attempts to withdraw or display warning signals. Consequently, Tobie acclimated to their presence quickly. I received a text message confirming his well-being shortly after departing. Upon my return, Tobie showed reluctance to leave, even glancing back to see if Marcelo's wife was accompanying us. I highly recommend their services, particularly for owners of protective dogs. Their patience and commitment to ensuring Tobie's comfort were truly commendable.”

“This was Frida's second stay and I know she loves it here because she literally ran to the front door without looking back. She looks like she had a blast with Molly and the other dogs today. Thanks for all the great photos! See you next time.”

“Dana is amazing! Able to quickly watch your dog if needed, sends helpful and frequent updates, is flexible on timing and my dog came back clean and happy. Will absolutely use her again! Overall a really wonderful experience.”

“Hershey's first day with Julie and her fur crew was fabulous. She sent me pics and videos throughout the day to let me know all was going okay. Hershey had so much fun and he was well taken care of. We can't wait to go again.”

“So far so good. Wrinkles was anxious when I brought her over to Karn but when I checked in two hours later Karn said that she calmed down eventually and was able to stay tge whole afternoon. Thank you Karn!”

“Laura is a very sweet and experienced pet caretaker. She followed all the instructions I gave and sent frequent updates and pictures. I could tell the dogs were comfortable and happy with Laura and Brian :) Thank you!!”
“Katherine and Earl are our go-to people for our energetic dog Nixon!! I get sent out of town for work last minute and they almost always save the day. Our dog loves it there and the updates are hilarious and adorable. Would recommend them to anyone!!”

“Max watched both of my dogs on short notice and they had a great time. Great communicator, he sent me lots of photos and a video of the big dog playing with his dog and having the best time. Thank you Max, we will be back.”

“Our dog loves it at Renata's house. She literally can’t wait to jump out of the car and get inside. You can tell that Renata really loves and cares for the animals she looks after!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Granada Hills
had a great experience leaving my dog with him for daycare! He was very communicative, friendly, and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in his care. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I really appreciated the updates throughout the day and how attentive he was to my dog’s needs. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Elizabeth came through for us last minute and we are so grateful! Our original sitter canceled the day before and we were scrambling. We were lucky too that she was so great with Rocky - he took to her right away! We appreciated the tips she gave us on allergy meds as well because she saw him itching so much. All in all, Rocky was in the best hands and we would undoubtedly use Elizabeth again!! Thank you!!!

Chanel was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Julian! From the moment we arrived, she was so warm and inviting, and Julian felt right at home. Her space is lovely and perfectly set up so she could easily go in and out as she pleased, which made me feel so comfortable leaving her there. Julian loved her walk and had the best time spending the afternoon with Buzz — they got along so well! It’s clear Chanel truly cares and creates a calm, happy environment for the dogs in her care. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be bringing Julian back!
Janeece is one of the kindest sitters we’ve ever had. She is very thorough - asks a lot of (good) questions and wants to know everything about our dogs; this makes us feel secure and helps us to trust that our furbabies are in the best care. Our dogs fell in love with Janeece and her comfortable home quickly! She sent us lots of updates with photos and videos which were great. We look forward to booking with her again!

We had an amazing experience with doggie day camp today! From the moment we dropped our puppy off early in the morning to evening pickup, everything went so smoothly. Alexis and Melisa were incredible at sticking to our puppy’s schedule and made us feel completely at ease. We received lots of updates and adorable pictures throughout the day, which we really appreciated. It was clear our puppy was well cared for, happy, and comfortable. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend Alexis and Melisa!

Included tip for earlier this week. Jesse and her partner are the best! Their schedule is super flexible. I usually need their help last minute when a family member can’t watch our boy, and they’re always happy to help. At this point Milhouse knows her and her little dog well, and he adores them!

After trying out different daycare spots, it was such a surprise to see my dogs willingly and excitedly go with Natasha! They’re usually hesitant to go to daycare facilities and try to run back, but it was a relief to see them so comfortable when dropping them off and* picking them up. Natasha is so sweet and was responsive the whole time which eased my mind even more :)

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Granada Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
