“Armando took great care of our dog, Mancha, with very little advanced notice. He was very flexible with timing and even agreed to a last minute evening meet and greet so our dog could warm up to him before spending the whole day at his place. The next morning, he was excited for his drop off at Armando’s. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our dog! We are excited to rebook in the future if need be.”

“So good with Henry, gave him lots of love and walks. He is an anxious dog and he warmed up to her right away and was comfortable and well cared for. She sent me lots of updates throughout the day. Would highly recommend!”
About: I’ve been a pet owner for 25 years. I use to be a zookeeper for 8 years and have worked with exotic animals for over 10. I have basic training skills and am good with large dogs. I am currently working part time and have most days free and evenings as well. Local neighborhood walks or pick ups would be ideal, but not necessary. I currently do not have any other pets. I do have a fenced in back yard and live in a house. Bathroom breaks can happen frequently when boarding.
“Elise was great! She was able to watch our doggos on short notice, and I really appreciated her patience and flexibility. The dogs came back exhausted! Which I love and it was clear they had a fun, relaxing time. Would definitely recommend her and book again!”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs isn't a side job—it's my full-time profession. As a professional dog trainer, I bring a deeper understanding of canine behavior, communication, and safety than the average sitter. Because I work from home, your dog receives consistent supervision, structure, and personalized attention throughout the day. My goal isn't just to provide a place for your dog to stay—it's to give them a safe, enriching experience where they feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely at home. Hi! I'm Carter, a full-time professional dog trainer with over four years of experience in dog training, boarding, and behavior. Working with dogs isn't a side job—it's my career and my passion. Because I train dogs full-time from my home, I'm able to seamlessly integrate every dog into my daily routine. Your dog won't spend hours alone waiting for me to get home from work. Instead, they'll receive consistent supervision, companionship, exercise, and individualized attention throughout the day. My home features a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under close supervision. At night, dogs sleep in my room with me, helping them feel comfortable, secure, and part of the family. As a professional trainer, I understand canine body language and behavior, allowing me to safely care for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your dog is outgoing, shy, or requires extra patience, I'll tailor my care to help them feel safe and at home. My goal is to provide a structured, loving environment where your dog can enjoy their stay while giving you complete peace of mind. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pup is doing. * 🐾 Full-time professional dog trainer with over 4 years of hands-on experience. * 🏡 Dogs are supervised throughout the day—I work from home full-time. * 🌳 Fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and exercise. * ❤️ Dogs are treated like family and sleep in my room, not in isolated kennels. * 👀 Experienced in reading canine body language and preventing conflicts before they happen. * 🦴 Structured daily routine with exercise, enrichment, play, and rest. * 🐕 Care is tailored to each dog's personality, age, energy level, and individual needs. * 📸 Frequent photo and video updates so you can stay connected during your dog's stay. * 🤝 Safety, trust, and clear communication are my highest priorities. * 🛡️ Calm, clean, and low-stress home environment designed to help dogs feel comfortable and secure.
About: USE THIS CODE FOR $20 OFF YOUR FIRST BOOKING https://www.rover.com/sit/sofiaf58007 Over the years, I’ve cared for many different animals from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and fish. I share my home with my senior dog, Cushla, a very sensitive dog I’ve cared for since she was a puppy. Caring for her has given me experience managing allergies, stomach issues, prescription food, medications, and the extra attention sensitive dogs need. I offer a calm, one-dog-at-a-time environment where your pet will receive my full attention and care. Since neighborhood cats occasionally visit the yard, I only accept well-socialized dogs up to 20 lbs who are comfortable around other animals and suited for a calm, low-stress home environment. I work from home full-time, so your dog will have constant supervision, personalized attention, and senior-friendly features like pet stairs, plus plenty of care and companionship. Your dog will stay in a spacious, calm home with plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. I have a large, fully fenced backyard where they can safely explore, play on the lawn, and enjoy fresh air. I also have plenty of toys and balls to keep them engaged and happy. Inside, all furniture is covered with soft blankets so they can rest comfortably wherever they choose, and I have pet stairs available for dogs who need extra support getting up. Dogs are never kept in crates, and I always use a gentle, respectful approach to care, focused on making them feel safe, relaxed, and at home.
“had a great experience leaving my dog with him for daycare! He was very communicative, friendly, and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in his care. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I really appreciated the updates throughout the day and how attentive he was to my dog’s needs. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Such a sweet family! It takes a while for My Baby Bailey to warm up to people, but Bailey immediately adored them! For that, I know Bailey truly enjoyed staying with Alexis, Melissa & their baby! She was very attentive to him and sent me tons of photos and videos to make me feel at ease. They are such a warm loving, caring family that took such amazing care of my baby while I was away for work! I would highly recommend them!”

“Beray did a great job of taking care of my dog Wilbur! She was very communicative and flexible with her time. She also gave several updates throughout the day and Wilbur came home happy and sleepy. Thank you again, Beray!”

“Arthur and Hayley were so awesome! We were in a pinch last minute and not only were they able to provide a good environment for the dogs but took such good care of them. We have a puppy who due to vaccines still could not be around other dogs and they were able to accommodate. Also were able to provide updates through out the day about how the dogs were doing. Not only good dog people, but good people in general. If in the area would 100/10 recommend!!”

“She was lovely and very understanding. My dog usually has a hard time playing with other dogs or even going with other people but she had no problem and Mason looked happy.”

“Lauren was great. She met me before hand so I could intro our dogs, sent lots of pics of my pup, and walked her twice. She was great. I would book her again.”

“The moment I met Jessica I knew my fur baby, Kona was in good hands. I planned two days at Universal Studios and she gave me a meeting spot very close to US. I would hire Jessica in the future in a heartbeat!”
“Ryan and Abbey took great care of Tobi. They gave us updates all day and were very accommodating! Our Rover request was very last minute and we were lucky to find such great sitters!”

“Tanya was absolutely great! I felt completely at ease leaving Otis with her and she sent me multiple pictures and video of Otis being VERY well taken care of. My pup has anxiety being left alone so being able to leave him with Tanya and Shadi gave me the piece of mind I needed.”

“I’m a proud Fur Momma of a 2 year old Female Cockapoo Chloe. She’s my world and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her! I’ve been taking Chloe to doggie day care since she was 6 months old.”

“Amazing! Kindness, warmth and complete kindness and super consideration! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m so grateful. I’m a worried mom, as are others, but I was reassured and greatly respected. My puppy was so loved and cared for! I couldn’t ask for more. 100% recommendation.”

“This was our first time leaving our dog with Dana and the first time my mind was at ease. Her house is dog proof from the gorgeous backyard all the way to the front door. She really loves and cares for them. I’m so happy to have found her. Highly recommend her.”

Thank you Valeria for watching my dog last minute! I really appreciated getting texts, photos, and a video while I was out. He is a bit attached to me so I appreciated the kind gesture of easing my mind. Chato seemed to enjoy himself at your place. Thank you so much for the mini photoshoot as well :)

Elise was great! She was able to watch our doggos on short notice, and I really appreciated her patience and flexibility. The dogs came back exhausted! Which I love and it was clear they had a fun, relaxing time. Would definitely recommend her and book again!

We were very lucky to have found Brooke! We needed a last minute sitter that could watch our pup for the entire day with a late-night pickup, and she was happy to accommodate us. She was very communicative throughout the stay, and it was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands with all the pictures & updates that were sent to us. Brooke is an absolute gem - we will definitely be booking with her again!

had a great experience leaving my dog with him for daycare! I would definitely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Tanya was great with our Lex, she knows dog behavior and can sense any problems which is a bonus because although Lex is a bigger dog he is super playful and also submissive so he wants to play with everyone, but some dogs don't like that and she stops any aggressive behavior b4 there is trouble, which was comforting as there was a dog there for a little bit who wasn't friendly. She kept them separated. After that dog left Lex was a happy and content boy.

Elizabeth came through for us last minute and we are so grateful! Our original sitter canceled the day before and we were scrambling. We were lucky too that she was so great with Rocky - he took to her right away! We appreciated the tips she gave us on allergy meds as well because she saw him itching so much. All in all, Rocky was in the best hands and we would undoubtedly use Elizabeth again!! Thank you!!!

Frank took care of my 3 Dogs today, and it was fun for them, and a lifesaver for me! 😊🐾💙💙💙 I received a video and photo’’s while I was hosting my Granddaughter’s 1st BD party and it made me happy to see them enjoying themselves in a beautiful, large backyard. This was my first experience having all three away from me, and I have to recommend Frank and give him an A+! My boys are exhausted, happy, safe and sleeping soundly now. 👍😊🐾

Chanel was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Julian! From the moment we arrived, she was so warm and inviting, and Julian felt right at home. Her space is lovely and perfectly set up so she could easily go in and out as she pleased, which made me feel so comfortable leaving her there. Julian loved her walk and had the best time spending the afternoon with Buzz — they got along so well! It’s clear Chanel truly cares and creates a calm, happy environment for the dogs in her care. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be bringing Julian back!
Janeece is one of the kindest sitters we’ve ever had. She is very thorough - asks a lot of (good) questions and wants to know everything about our dogs; this makes us feel secure and helps us to trust that our furbabies are in the best care. Our dogs fell in love with Janeece and her comfortable home quickly! She sent us lots of updates with photos and videos which were great. We look forward to booking with her again!

We had an amazing experience with doggie day camp today! From the moment we dropped our puppy off early in the morning to evening pickup, everything went so smoothly. Alexis and Melisa were incredible at sticking to our puppy’s schedule and made us feel completely at ease. We received lots of updates and adorable pictures throughout the day, which we really appreciated. It was clear our puppy was well cared for, happy, and comfortable. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend Alexis and Melisa!

Daniela did an amazing job taking care of our 8 month old puppy, Bowie, on Thanksgiving. She clearly loves dogs and has a lot of experience taking care of them so Bowie was in very good hands. He got to play with the other dogs there, go on a walk and rest - and we are so thankful. We will definitely book Daniela again!

Zoe had a blast at Ramon & Raquel's place! They have a big, lovely, and safe backyard for dogs to run around and play. And it was also a great opportunity/experience for Zoe to socialize with the other dogs who were there. They kept us updated with photos/videos throughout the day. 5 stars!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Northridge on Rover is $43.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Northridge commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
