EX Puppy Raiser for Guide Dogs
Hi! I’m Tanya. I had the opportunity to raise seeing eye puppies (8 weeks old to 14-16 months) for Guide Dogs of America. My years of puppy raising with them has given me an outstanding education in dog behavior and raising puppies to become good canine citizens. To further my education, I completed the Good Pup Training Program offered by Rover. For years, I have regularly gone to the Sepulveda off-lease dog park and witnessed unsafe dog care by “professional sitters” who seem more interested in profits than the safety and welfare of the dogs in their care. During the pandemic I realized I was in a unique position to offer you the responsible and loving care I want for my own dog. My goal is for you and your dog to feel safe, loved, and spoiled while staying with friends instead of a stranger. I created a safe, fun, and enriching environment to care for your pups when you can’t be with them. My yard has a double-entry gate surrounded by an 8 ft fence for secure unlimited playtime, sunbathing, or squirrel hunting. The yard is active with nature at all hours of the day and night. I take pride in a stress free environment for myself and the dogs. I limit the number of dogs in my care to a small pack of friendly, well socialized or shy and timid dogs. Bringing your dog here is like sending them on vacation to their best friends house with an overprotective adult. I have plenty of toys to stimulate their mind and space to satisfy their physical needs. For dogs that need additional activities and exercise I can offer trips to the Sepulveda off-leash dog park (timid side only). I believe in the saying, “The only good dog is a tired dog”. Tanya took wonderful care of Ziggy and he clearly loved his time with her. Lots of regular pics and videos and it was great that he got to go to his favourite small dog park while we were away. Thank you so much!
Tanya was great with our Lex, she knows dog behavior and can sense any problems which is a bonus because although Lex is a bigger dog he is super playful and also submissive so he wants to play with everyone, but some dogs don't like that and she stops any aggressive behavior b4 there is trouble, which was comforting as there was a dog there for a little bit who wasn't friendly. She kept them separated. After that dog left Lex was a happy and content boy.
She did great with my 2 first timer dogs. She was able to calmed them and earned their trust. She provided us their daily progress how they’ve coped up with their separation’s anxiety backed with pictures and videos. Frankie and Benjie will definitely be back under her care. Thank you Tanya!
Tanya was friendly, easy to talk to and communicative throughout the entire stay. She’s knowledgeable about dogs and we felt comfortable leaving our dog with her. Great backyard, very dog friendly space. She took excellent care of our dog! Thank you Tanya and Shadi!
Sending our dog to daycare with Tanya weekly was the best decision ever. I dog loved going to the park with her, socializing with other dogs, and playing in her yard. Tanya is so helpful if you have questions about training or anything in general. Our dog was having a hard time adjusting to the baby we had and this daycare day was her moment of joy every week and allowed her to have something special in the mix of change. Tanya, you really are the best!!
Tanya was awesome! Rocky had a great time and she sent lots of pictures along the way. 100% going to be booking with her again.

I have years of puppy raising experience for Guide Dogs of America. I am a qualified and trusted sitter. My double entry gate makes it safe and secure for meet and greets. For added peace of mind, I purchased my own pet sitting insurance and have a doggie cam. Whoever you decide to leave your fur baby with a word of caution. I regularly see “professional”dog sitter’s coming to the dog park with more than 15 dogs jammed into their cars. I call it “clown car” time. With that many dogs under one person’s supervision, I’ve witnessed many things go wrong, especially in a dog park with so many unknowns. If you’re looking for small group care where your dog will be spoiled and encouraged to play in an environment set up for success look no further. I look forward to meeting you and making new friends.

I do not take aggressive or dominant dogs. Sorry, no pit bulls. I ask that you do not send any toys, blankets or dog beds that you want returned. I have plenty.
