“Jeni was wonderful. She's quick to respond - sends great pics, videos, and updates - and seems to know/understand dogs really well. We felt very comfortable with her staying at our home with our puppy.”

“IULIIA watched our dog again overnight for a second time and did great. We really trust her and know she is taking good care of our dog. We have already booked her again for another future trip!”

“Anna is great! I’ve never used Rover before and my two dogs are like my children so there was a lot of anxiety leaving them with someone I didn’t know. I used her for both a drop in and over night sitting and everything went great! My dogs are highly anxious but Anna kept us constantly updated on how they were doing which was so helpful. My dogs even managed to settle down and relax a bit which is huge for them. Would definitely use her again!”

“So happy to have Lisa watching my 2 pups the last three days. It was our first time with her and won't be the last! I've already booked her again. Lisa was great about communicating with me. She sent an update and pics twice a day without my having to prompt her. She had great rapport with my dogs, even with shy Riley. The house was in great condition when I got home. Lisa really cares about animals and doing a good job. I appreciate all you did while I was gone.”

About: My passion for pups began by caring for dogs of family and friends, into raising two silly, energetic, dachshund boys of my own! I know firsthand how hard it can be to leave your furry family members behind. This is why I treat every animal in my care with the same unconditional love, patience, and attention I would want someone to give my boys. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of every background and breed including tiny Chihuahuas, Yorkies, and Pugs to high-energy Boxers and German Shepherds. No matter their unique personality, I adapt quickly to what makes them feel happy and safe. When booking with me, you can count on Schedule & Routine Maintenance (e.g., following your exact schedule for meals, walks, medication, and playtime so your pup stays relaxed and happy), Warm and Clear Communication (e.g., sending regular updates, photos, and clear check-ins so you always know how your pup is doing), Cleanliness & Organization (e.g., keeping your home clean, tidy, and organized while managing your pup’s living areas and supplies, and Dependability & Trust (e.g., showing up on time, respecting your instructions, and providing consistent, dependable care you can count on every single time). Thank you for stopping by my profile! Feel free to message me with any questions or to set up a meet and greet. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family member 🐾 Managing my own work and school schedule gives me complete flexibility to adapt to you and your pup’s needs! Whether that be mid-day drop-ins, flexible walk times, or even occasional overnight care. In your home, I prioritize safety, routines, and cleanliness. Whether house sitting, dog sitting, or a quick drop-in, I’ll make sure to follow routines (e.g., feeding schedules, medication needs, and favorite walk routes to ensure your pup feels safe and comfortable), to respect your space (e.g., making sure doors and gates are securely locked, keeping keys safe, and ensuring your privacy every step of the way), and keeping things neat (e.g., clean up after feeding time, handle potty duty right away, and make sure you come home to a space just as clean and cozy as you left it).
“Yoo Jee was so great with my dog Curly! She was very responsible and communicative, sent frequent updates, and gave Curly lots of pets and cuddles while I was away.”

“Kim was an amazing house sitter. She was very communicative, took great care of the pets, and left my house squeaky clean. I could tell from the photos she sent that my pups were very comfortable and relaxed with her. 12/10!”

About: I have had many pets of all kinds. I love them all. As well as my own pets I have experience with other animals from volunteering at the West Valley Animal shelter as well as pet sitting for family and friends. I am very passionate about animal welfare. I’m happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and just keeping them company. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away, giving you peace of mind they’re in good hands. I am currently not working so my schedule is very flexible. I am available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I love to hang out with my own pets and would love to hang out with yours too! I have two dogs, one cat, and two birds. The dogs and cat have access to a doggy/cat dog that leads to the back yard which is fenced in.
“We are so happy we found Brooke! She took fantastic care of our dogs and cats, while we were away. We really appreciated the daily photo updates and quick responses to our messages. When we got home, our pets were calm and happy, which tells us they had a great time and their routine was followed perfectly. We will definitely be booking again!"”

About: Since 2009, I have had dogs... I absolutely love them (and really all animals)! I cared for my two dogs until their passing at approximately 9 years of age since they were puppies. While in graduate school, I volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter for a few months taking care of pigeons, such as feeding them and cleaning their cages. So, if you have some unusual animals- I am open to taking care of them too! I also had a 2 week experience cat sitting for my cousin's senior cat by feeding/giving her water and general watching her. So, I have good experience with taking care of cats too although I have never had a cat personally. At the moment, I have my senior dog, Mr. Beau, an 11 year American Staff Terrier I adopted in 2023 at the shelter. While I was at the Oakland Animal Shelter, staff made it known that senior animals are the most often overlooked animals for adoption and that made me feel sad :( So once I was able to, I made it a mission to adopt a senior pup, and I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision. As with any senior (including humans), they come with special needs, such as different medications, loss of hearing, limited walking, increase in illnesses, etc. My dog has had many complications, but with my great patience with senior pups, I feel confident in taking care of their specific needs! I know what it is like to trust strangers with taking care of your pet- its scary! Mr. Beau has specific senior needs and is picking, so I hope my experience can make you feel more comfortable with choosing me to take care of your pet when you're away! Experience: senior dogs, puppies, cats, birds, or other types of pets. I am open-minded! I was laid off from my job at the end of June, so I while I am applying to full time work, I have time to take care of pets in the meantime to fill my weekly schedule! While I cannot provide pet sitting services at my own home because my dog is not friendly with other dogs (sad face), I am skilled in meeting with my where my clients are at. I love to ask questions about the pet's history, current physical state, quirks, boundaries, etc. so I don't cause unnecessary stress or issues. Depending on the pet's attitudes and boundaries, I am open to playing, walking, or just simply checking in on them. I want to try to make their environment as healthy and safe as possible, so for instance, if its too hot in the house, I'd like to verify with the owner is opening a window or using the air conditioner is okay.

About: I have always loved dogs and enjoy spending time with them. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to each dog’s individual personality and needs. I’m comfortable with walks, playtime, feeding, and providing lots of care and attention. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety and happiness. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I enjoy spending time with dogs, taking them for walks, playing with them, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have a flexible schedule, so I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to each pet. I always prioritize the safety and comfort of every pet. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, keep pets supervised, and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure. I treat every home with care and respect, keeping things clean and leaving everything the way I found it. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is in good hands.
About: Neighbors, family and friends can always count on me for dog sitting with a simple food or water, attention, play time and lastly walks around the neighborhood I currently work part time and my job gives me a flexible schedule, so i have plenty of time! i’m available for walks around your neighborhood and even some play time at home My services includes me going to the clients house feeding, taking out to use the restroom, and engaging with the pet. Depending on the service I can check in multiple times a day and update the clients by sending pictures or videos. I also offer walking services for pets.
“Madelyn is now our 4-mo-old puppy's favorite person! She gave up her Thanksgiving to stay with Ziggy at our house, but it wasn't just a "stay." Madelyn played with her and give her so much love and attention. It was just what Ziggy needed and we were so happy to trust her with our puppy! We're also very happy that Madelyn will be coming back to stay with Ziggy again in a couple of weeks. Thank you, Madelyn!”
“Daniela took great care of both our cats and our home. She was communicative, professional, and caring. I would definitely book her again and recommend her to anyone I know.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Diesel while we were out of town for two weeks! Sanaz was absolutely amazing with him. She didn’t just take wonderful care of him, she spent time training him, gave him so much love and attention, and kept us updated with tons of photos and videos, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, we completely trusted her with Diesel and our home. She was reliable, caring, attentive, and clearly formed a real bond with him. In fact, I truly believe Diesel misses her! Since we’ve been home, he honestly seems a little heartbroken that his new best friend isn’t coming over anymore. That alone tells me how loved and well cared for he was while we were gone. I would absolutely recommend Sanaz to anyone looking for someone trustworthy who will treat their dog like her own. We will definitely be calling her again! ❤️”

So happy to have Lisa watching my 2 pups the last three days. I appreciate all you did while I was gone.

I could not have asked for a better dog and house sitter. I met Geena and explained what I wanted done with my dogs while I was away for 3 weeks; thier feeding times, walk schedule, sleeping arrangements, etc. I was relived that she was mature, responsibe, and trustworthy. She updated me daily with texts and photos of my (2) dogs whom I missed terribly. She brought in mail and kept the house nice and tidy and controlled the A/C. I was able to travel without worrying as I knew Geena was giving love and attention to my little ones. Without reservation I would hire Geena again !!!
Anna is great! Would definitely use her again!

I'm already planning on booking Rachael again. She went above and beyond while caring for my dog, Wilma. Not only did Wilma absolutely love her, but Rachael also brought in my mail, watered my plants, and made sure everything at home was taken care of while I was away. She sent multiple photos and updates every single day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I never had to wonder how Wilma was doing because I always knew she was happy, loved, and in great hands. Being away from your dog can be stressful, but thanks to Rachael, I wasn't worried at all. I can't recommend her highly enough, and I will definitely be booking with her again!

This is our second time using Emily and she is just fantastic! I cannot recommend her enough, she is so caring and thoughtful and provides such excellent care for our fur baby. She sends daily updates and pictures and also took great care of the house since we had her stay at the house for the duration of our vacation as well. Highly trustworthy and responsible, we would continue to use her again every time!

I highly recommend Luke to take care of your furry family. Our dog is wary of strange men at the outset but she warmed up to Luke very quickly. This was our first vacation away from her since we rescued her so we weren't sure how she'd handle the change in caretakers but she did better than I expected. Luke was responsive and sent daily pics and updates. He was also great at watching our house for us while we were out of town. Thanks Luke!

Farrah was really great! She stayed at our house for a week with our dog and did an amazing job. She sent lots of updates and was always very reachable whenever we checked in, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was also kind enough to come by a few days before we left to do a walk-through of the house and meet our dog, which we really appreciated. We came home to a happy dog and a house left in great condition. We truly appreciated having someone so trustworthy and reliable caring for both our home and our dog. We would absolutely recommend Farrah and would love to work with her again.

Joycelyn is awesome! She took wonderful care of our pup Shiloh. She’s exceptionally warm, accommodating and kind, and that made all the difference with our baby. We have a lot of unique instructions to take care of our dog because he does have some behavior issues and she handled it perfectly. 10 out of 10, 100% recommend and we will absolutely be hiring her again!

Nancy showed incredible care for my Great Dane Ziggy. She sent timely pictures and updates throughout her stay and left the space exactly how she found it. I felt like I left my pet with family. Highly recommend to anyone looking for peace of mind when they can’t take their pup with them

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Granada Hills on Rover is $77.87 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 11,708 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Granada Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Granada Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Granada Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Granada Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Granada Hills. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
