“William was great with the doggos and very communicative. My pup is slow to warm to people so it’s saying a lot that he was patient with her and she was kissing and snuggling him in a short time. Both dogs were sad to see him go!”
“Audrey was so accommodating with this short notice booking, and thoughtfully provided many regular updates and photo checkups on Fig throughout her time caring for her.”

“Kim did a great job watching my baby. He is super shy and she handled it perfectly. She was trustful and communicative. Would definitely use her again either for sitting or walks or anything! Thank you Kim!!✨✨⭐️💫”

“We have NEVER felt so safe and comfortable leaving our boys with anyone. Veronica is a Godsend. She sent us pics every day. When our six year old asked whether the dogs missed us, she sent us an “e-card” from “them” to us. Our younger dog is very wary of new people, but warmed up to Veronica faster than he ever has to anyone. Our house was in perfect order when we got back. We love her!”

About: I’ve had multiple pets my entire life, I currently have a 10 year old terrier mix her name is Horchata like the drink lol. My goal is to give your pets the same kind of dependable, loving care I would want for my own, while keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’m currently home from college only working like 2 days out of the week so I have plenty of spare time to take care of any furry friends. I’m available most weekdays with a super flexible schedule. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, medications, and bedtime routines. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I’m also super respectful of each client’s home and always clean up after the pets and leave everything neat and organized.
About: My dog sitting has been talked very highly of every time I’ve done it! I walk my pup every single morning and would love to walk yours for you! Your pup will be so happy, they’ll seem like a puppy all over again🥰 I also used to work at a dog grooming company! Can’t wait to get to know you and your animal🫶🏻 I have dog sat many times for my friends and co workers, sometimes even weeks on end! I also have a 7 year old puppy and have been taking care of her since I have had her and walk her every single morning! I can come to you to walk your dog or you can bring them to me if more convenient! I have a nice neighborhood for them to be walked in as well!
“Jeni is a talented, trusted, handler. She is kind, patient, punctual, honest, friendly, fun, and extremely loving. I can’t possibly express how grateful I am to have Jeni help me with my precious dogs. Her expertise, patience and knowledge have added so much to their lives. They both enjoy-walks, playtime, socialization. My dogs, Brutus (6 year old male Pekingese) and Rambo (1 year old male pug mix, rescue, are thrilled when Jeni comes to take them for their walks, and play dates. Rambo is very shy and panicky. Jeni takes as much time as needed to let Rambo settle which is within seconds. Brutus loves everybody so he and Rambo enjoy their time with Jeni tremendously. Highly, highly, recommend Jeni. I welcome any questions.”

“We were so grateful to Emily for being available on short notice and on Christmas night, no less! While we were staying with family over the holidays, Dudley was less than happy to be left with a dog sitter in a home he was unfamiliar with. Emily was great in understanding his behavior and gave him time and space to adjust to our being gone. She sent us pictures and let us know that while not happy, he was doing fine. We so appreciated Emily's sweet nature in dealing with our sulky boy. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing a sitter and would use her again next time we're in town!”

“We’re so lucky to have Katherine as our pet-sitter! Our cat Dooney loves her. We were gone for 2 weeks and had no worries about Dooney, knowing he was well-cared for. The pictures she took of him were very reassuring and better than many of the pics I took of my vacation!”

“Our fur babies love Jackie. She spends quality time them. She plays with them outside. We know when Jackie is watching our fur babies that they are well taken care of.”

About: Since 2009, I have had dogs... I absolutely love them (and really all animals)! I cared for my two dogs until their passing at approximately 9 years of age since they were puppies. While in graduate school, I volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter for a few months taking care of pigeons, such as feeding them and cleaning their cages. So, if you have some unusual animals- I am open to taking care of them too! I also had a 2 week experience cat sitting for my cousin's senior cat by feeding/giving her water and general watching her. So, I have good experience with taking care of cats too although I have never had a cat personally. At the moment, I have my senior dog, Mr. Beau, an 11 year American Staff Terrier I adopted in 2023 at the shelter. While I was at the Oakland Animal Shelter, staff made it known that senior animals are the most often overlooked animals for adoption and that made me feel sad :( So once I was able to, I made it a mission to adopt a senior pup, and I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision. As with any senior (including humans), they come with special needs, such as different medications, loss of hearing, limited walking, increase in illnesses, etc. My dog has had many complications, but with my great patience with senior pups, I feel confident in taking care of their specific needs! I know what it is like to trust strangers with taking care of your pet- its scary! Mr. Beau has specific senior needs and is picking, so I hope my experience can make you feel more comfortable with choosing me to take care of your pet when you're away! Experience: senior dogs, puppies, cats, birds, or other types of pets. I am open-minded! I was laid off from my job at the end of June, so I while I am applying to full time work, I have time to take care of pets in the meantime to fill my weekly schedule! While I cannot provide pet sitting services at my own home because my dog is not friendly with other dogs (sad face), I am skilled in meeting with my where my clients are at. I love to ask questions about the pet's history, current physical state, quirks, boundaries, etc. so I don't cause unnecessary stress or issues. Depending on the pet's attitudes and boundaries, I am open to playing, walking, or just simply checking in on them. I want to try to make their environment as healthy and safe as possible, so for instance, if its too hot in the house, I'd like to verify with the owner is opening a window or using the air conditioner is okay.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Panorama City is $63
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Panorama City
Kim was great. She put a lot of love and care into her stay with my English Bulldog. He was well taken care of, and I felt really good about her being in our home. She left the place cleaner than she found it, send daily updates and I could tell she spend a lot of time with him. Thanks again Kim!

At the meet and greet Hector took time to ask thoughtful questions about Rhea, her routine, special needs. He made sure we left him contact info in case of an emergency. He was attentive, responsible and easy to communicate with. We felt very comfortable leaving Rhea with Hector. He kept us updated throughout the evening with texts, pictures and videos. We would definitely recommend Hector and will happily book with him again.

Yoo Jee was awesome! She stayed at my apartment and took care of Pancho for a week and when my flight got delayed she came through big time for me. I’ll definitely be booking her again. When I got back from my trip my place was just as j left it and maybe a little neater. She’s a keeper!

We have NEVER felt so safe and comfortable leaving our boys with anyone. We love her!

To be honest, I was terrified of having a stranger live in our house, so this booking was a big deal for us. We had William stay with our two golden retrievers and cat, as well as care for our outdoor turtle and both indoor and outdoor plants for 10 days. He kept us updated, sending photos of our animals whenever we asked. He took great care of the house and maintained open communication. He always quickly responded to our texts. He is a great housesitter. Most of all, though, he is a true dog lover. I felt confident that my Goldens were being loved and cared for. I will definitely book him again and would 100% recommend to anyone else.
Katie was absolutely great!! She sent updates, asked questions, and took such great care of our two dogs and home! Upon meeting for the first time, both boys instantly took a liking to her which put our minds at ease. Would highly recommend booking with Katie and we will definitely be rebooking in the future :)!

Wow! Carlos was just the best! A total pro who handled my snippy Min-Pin with so much ease and care! Carlos stayed at our house while we were away on a trip and made sure everything was taken care of as if it was his own home. He even watered my plants and an outdoor garden for me AND searched through some papers to help find one I'd accidentally left behind on my desk! A lifesaver for sure and I'm so grateful for the Rover connection to Carlos!

I'm already planning on booking Rachael again. She went above and beyond while caring for my dog, Wilma. Not only did Wilma absolutely love her, but Rachael also brought in my mail, watered my plants, and made sure everything at home was taken care of while I was away. She sent multiple photos and updates every single day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I never had to wonder how Wilma was doing because I always knew she was happy, loved, and in great hands. Being away from your dog can be stressful, but thanks to Rachael, I wasn't worried at all. I can't recommend her highly enough, and I will definitely be booking with her again!

Ariana is an absolute gem! She watched our senior dog Penny and took such incredible care of her. She took her on regular walks, sent tons of updates, and she even cleaned Penny’s water bowl. The little details really showed how much she cares. We came home to one happy pup and complete peace of mind. Highly, highly recommend Ariana!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Panorama City on Rover is $73.83 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 12,290 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Panorama City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Panorama City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Panorama City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Panorama City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Panorama City. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
