About: I have experience walking dogs of all ages and sizes (German Shepard, huskies, Maltese, poodle, frenchies). As a teen I walked dogs for the elderly who resided in a retirement home. I grew up with large dogs and have learned patience and awareness through my experiences. I currently have two talkative cats and have participated in rescuing stray kittens from a Carl’s Jr. parking lot. I love animals and have learned from each and every one of them that I have had the pleasure of meeting in my lifetime. I am currently between jobs and have a lot of free time to take pups for walks! I am available weekends and holidays! I enjoy being outside and going for early morning walks and would love to do that with a dog! I am comfortable watching pets within a home or backyard if needed. I can carry dogs if they are uncomfortable using stairs or if they have special needs. I am extremely cautious when dogs are a flight risk and tend to triple check harnesses and walking gear!

Came by as a last minute request to save me from coming home from really far away for my dog barking and checked in on her, walked her (even though I didn’t even request that) and put her to sleep. She saved me so much and you literally cannot go wrong with her.

About: Hey there! I'm Matt - a caffeine-dependent New Yorker living in Los Angeles. I have two cute and friendly floofs of my own - Finley, 4-year old a mixed breed with no brains but heaps of heart - and Lexi, a 14-year old disabled chihuahua who's obsessed with meatballs and biting the ears off toys. I've had and cared for dogs all my life, from training puppies to caring for seniors, and I know how important it is to make sure our paw pals are cared for. I'm happy to provide dog-walking, play time, sitting and boarding services - additionally, I'm able to administer medications and provide baths as needed. Whether your active little devil loves a brisk walk, your aging companion desires a leisurely stroll or your furry friend needs an overnight cuddle session, I can't wait to help out and make some new accomplices! I mean, uhh...friends! Cheers, Matt My schedule is very flexible - I am available for morning, afternoon and evening walks as well as sitting or boarding - 7 days a week! I have a large, spacious, townhome with a large sofa, dog beds throughout the house, 2 people beds and a balcony with an additional dog bed. Dogs will have free reign throughout the house with the exception of bathrooms. My home is pet-friendly - no glass furniture, dangerous plants, choking hazards, etc. With easy access to our tree-lined street, quick potty breaks and long walks are steps away. My dogs typically get walked 3 times daily and eat morning and night. I will, of course, walk and feed your pets per their usual schedule. If your dog is crated at night or when left at home alone, their crate must be provided.

About: For four years, I’ve helped take care of my mom’s dog, so I’m very familiar with daily pet needs, from exercise and enrichment to maintaining routines. I’m gentle, attentive, and always focused on making pets feel safe and loved. I am currently a student, so I have plenty of flexibility for pet care throughout the week. I make sure each pet gets consistent attention, playtime, and care that fits smoothly into my daily routine. I create a calm, safe environment for every pet in my care. I follow all feeding instructions, keep routines consistent, and make sure pets always have fresh water and a comfortable space to relax. I stay attentive, use positive handling, and prioritize each pet’s comfort and well‑being. I treat every animal with the same patience and care I give my own family’s dog.

About: I’ve always been the person friends and family trust to watch their pets because I genuinely love spending time with animals. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I do my best to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s a puppy with lots of energy, a senior pet who needs a slower pace and extra care, or a pet that’s a little shy at first, I’m patient and happy to adjust to their needs. I pay attention to the little things, follow routines closely, and love sending updates and photos so you know your pet is doing well. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re hanging out with a friend, not just being watched I’m currently on summer break from my job as an elementary after-school teacher, so I have a more flexible schedule and extra time to dedicate to pet care. During the summer, I work a part-time job, which allows me to provide care before and after my shifts. I’m able to plan my schedule around pets’ needs and make sure they get the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I’m also available on weekends for extra visits, overnight care, or just some extra love and attention if needed. 🐾❤️ When caring for pets in your home, I try to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, clean litter boxes, and get plenty of love and attention. I know every cat is different—some want constant cuddles and playtime, while others prefer their space—so I always let them set the pace. I’ll also send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is happy and well cared for

About: I've loved and taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, rabbits, even a pet squirrel (lots of stories about Honey). Spending time with animals brings me such joy and I treat every pet with love and care as if they were my own. I currently have one dog at home (my sweet boy in my pics) that we've had 10 years and we had our precious girl for 8 before she passed last year. I also had my childhood dog for 15 years with an adorable underbite that made him look a lot tougher than he was. :) I'm comfortable taking care of senior and sick animals as well as giving medication. I took care of our sweet girl with cancer last year with oral meds, tube feeding, and IVs. Our other dog gets allergy shots that I administer at home and I've taken care of him through 2 back surgeries. I've used Rover many times over the years and found wonderful sitters for us when we needed them. Now I'm joining this side of it so I can return the favor and share some love and joy with your fluffy ones. I was working full time and unfortunately my industry has been dealing with consistent massive layoffs. Now I'm a stay at home mom, but have lots of flexibility since my husband works from home. When going to your place, I will be careful while opening the door to ensure no escape artists try to get out. I will treat your space with respect and make sure to leave things just as I found them. Most importantly, I will make sure to adhere to any instructions given for the visit.

I have a genuine love for animals and take pride in delivering a personalized experience tailored to each pet’s unique needs and personality. I currently work at an animal hospital, where I’ve developed hands-on experience in animal care and the confidence to handle a wide range of situations with professionalism and care. I have hands-on experience caring for pets of all temperaments and needs, including senior pets, animals with medical conditions, and those who require extra patience and attentive handling. My veterinary hospital background has given me the ability to provide calm, confident, and compassionate care in any situation. While I may have certain days marked as unavailable, I welcome you to reach out at any time—my schedule can be flexible, and I am often able to accommodate requests whenever possible. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. I look forward to the opportunity to provide thoughtful, dependable care for your beloved companion. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs—I would love to assist. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine. At home, I care for our family dog, which includes feeding, walking, playing, and ensuring they feel loved and well-taken care of. This has helped me develop a consistent schedule and a deep understanding of how to meet a pet’s daily needs. Whether it’s my own family dog or pets I’m entrusted to care for, my days naturally revolve around ensuring they are happy, healthy, and cared for. When caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, loving, and pet-friendly environment tailored to their specific needs. I ensure they have a comfortable space to rest, plenty of playtime, regular walks, and a consistent feeding schedule. Since I care for my family dog daily, I’m well-practiced at providing structure and attention to make pets feel at home. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow the routines and instructions provided. This includes feeding, walking, administering medication, and spending quality time with their pets to ensure they feel comfortable and loved in their familiar environment. About: What sets me apart is my deep commitment to following your exact routine. I am attentive to detail whether your pet requires a strict medication schedule, extra potty breaks, or highly specific care instructions. I truly love animals and focus on giving them my undivided attention, plenty of affection, and the dedicated time they deserve. I am able to care for animals at least 5 times out of the week for 4-6 hours. Depending on the days required, I do have school at certain times a week. I have hobbies and obligations to do as well. I believe 4-6 hours is time that I do have depending on the day of course as mentioned. I could possibly even spend a full day if needed. Again this depends on the day of the week and month. The reason I can’t take in animals at my own home is because I simply don’t have enough space or else I totally would! Also, the baby of the bunch doesn’t do well with new comers. I feed my cats at least 3 times a day they beg like they haven’t eaten in days I might add. They often let me know when they want things by getting my attention and running to the bowl or to their toys or the door to be let out. They have a litter box with cat pellets so It doesn’t stink up the entire house. Laser pointer sessions and dangling cat toys are their favorite. Yes of course the box the cat trees come in are more fun than the actual tree. Cat trees are replaced often, my cats love to chat with me when I talk they talk back. They love wet food every twice a week with many ingredients. My dad’s dog I take care of while he’s on 1 year vacation loves hiking trails that I usually walk on haha. He prefers the best of the best kinds of dog food won’t eat anything else! He’s a good boy and they’re sometimes good cats since they like to knock things over every once in a while or try and pick at my food when I’m on a quick bathroom break. All in all it’s easy to take care of animals in my opinion my cats were not easy to take care of as kittens they needed a lot done and one of them always had issues with her bladder and glands. She’s better now thanks to God and me for the outrageous bills. I’d do it for every animal if I could but I just don’t have enough resources or money to do so. I do love animals and they deserve joy, a wide environment, and amazing care while they’re living and breathing.

About: I’ve been around and cared for pets since I was young, and I understand that every cat has their own personality and comfort level. I’m patient with shy or cautious cats and will give them the time and space they need to feel comfortable. I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, companionship, and plenty of gentle attention. I’ll also keep you updated while you’re away so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat is safe and cared for. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment where your cat can feel safe and comfortable. I’m attentive to their routines, feeding instructions, litter box needs, and personality. About: You might notice I don’t have many reviews on Rover yet, and that’s simply because I’m new to the app, not new to pet care! I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for years through friends, family, and regular clients outside the platform. I bring a deep love for animals, hands-on experience and a calm, reliable energy that pets naturally respond to. I’m now using Rover to connect with more amazing pet parents and I’d love for you to be one of them! I am a former volunteer of the Prince George's Animal Shelter in Maryland, As a volunteer, I would walk and feed all of our dogs and cats too! Over the years I’ve learned how to communicate with dogs and read their body language to access needs.I’d like to think of myself as the dog whisperer :). I have toys, treats and love on hand at all times to ensure your best friend has a great experience! Also, as a former doggymom,I know the deep love we have for our children and I will do everything to ensure your fur baby is cared for and protected. I’m great with training, super active, and love to explore LA! I am a child developmental therapist who only works from 3-8pm weekdays so I’ll have plenty of time to help with your fur baby during the day and on weekends! I love to get up in the morning to run and take walks in the LA sun, perfect for your pet :) I am extensively active and have done extensive research on pet enrichment, figuring out what they need to be stimulated and happy is my number one priority.

She has also been very willing to communicate as needed to ensure that our expectations will be met and that we will come home to a pet that was well cared for. On top of keeping to their routine and sending great updates, Jaimie went completely above and beyond when our flight home was delayed by two and a half hours. All of my kitties fell in love with Vanessa. She was as attentive to the shy and aloof adult cats as she was to the playful 12-week-old foster kittens. This was something I really appreciated, as my adult cats - while not hostile - aren't exactly charming to strangers. Vanessa told me she brought her own cat from to California when she moved here. That told me she thinks of pets as true lifetime companions. She then also adopted a dog and just exudes positive vibes. I would 100% recommend her services.

This was my first time using Rover, and Genesis was the perfect dog sitter for our dog, Sheldon. My dog is pretty picky, but Genesis was able to make friends with him very quickly. She was very kind and playful with him, and I felt totally comfortable trusting him into her care. She went above and beyond making sure he was taken care of. I loved how well she kept me updated, with pictures and updates on how Sheldon was doing. Each time she sent me pictures of him playing, it reassured me that I made the right decision, having Genesis looking after him. She looked after our house while we were gone and left it exactly how I left it. I feel like I got very lucky finding her. I will definitely rebook Genesis to look after our dog.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Panorama City stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
