About: Hello. I’m Karina, and caring for animals has been a central part of my life for many years. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I have extensive experience working with horses, including high-performance equine athletes. That background has taught me to be calm, observant, consistent, and attentive to each animal’s individual personality and needs. I understand that every pet is different. Some want an energetic walk, while others simply need a consistent routine, patience, and companionship. My priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for with me. I specialize in reliable weekday lunchtime dog walks and drop-in visits in the Encino area, making me a great fit for busy professionals who want consistent, dependable care. I also offer cat drop-in visits and limited boarding for dogs that are friendly with my own well-socialized dog and cat. You’ll receive updates and photos during every visit so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for. Pet care is something I intentionally build into my weekly routine. I provide consistent weekday lunchtime walks and drop-in visits, making me a great fit for busy professionals who want dependable care while they’re at work. My schedule also allows me to offer weekend boarding and pet care by arrangement. I enjoy having a routine that lets me give each pet my full attention and provide reliable, consistent care. Boarding dogs stay in my home as part of the family, with plenty of attention, exercise, and a consistent routine. I have a secure balcony and easy access to a large grassy area for potty breaks and fresh air. Depending on each dog’s personality and energy level, we can enjoy walks in my quiet condo complex or explore the dog-friendly neighborhood nearby. I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home and my own friendly, well-socialized dog, so everyone stays safe, relaxed, and happy. My goal is to provide a calm, comfortable environment where your dog feels at home while you’re away. With your permission, I’m also happy to take well-trained dogs on special outings, such as nature trails or to the horse facilities where I spend time, for additional exercise and enrichment when appropriate.

About: I’ve been a caretaker in one form or another since I was very young. I started as the neighborhood baby/pet/house sitter, and later became a professional nanny—where caring for children also meant caring for the family pets and homes. Although I stepped away from nannying, I still love caring for animals. I travel for work about a week out of every month, which makes having a pet of my own difficult right now, so pet sitting has been the perfect way to stay connected to animals while helping other pet parents feel at ease. I’ve been dog and house sitting for friends and referrals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience, affection, attention, and reliable care. Whether your pup loves long walks, your cat loves playtime, cuddles, or just a calm and consistent companion, I’m happy to provide dependable, loving care in the comfort of their own home. I have a pretty flexible work week and I’m off on weekends. I wake up on the earlier side so I will have plenty of time to do the morning pet duties. I’m a homebody so my evenings are spent reading, catching up on work, watching tv- so that also leaves plenty of time in the evening for whatever your pet’s needs are! I do love to walk outside so hopefully your pet does too! I follow the house rules and routine to help the pets remain calm while their families are gone. I also believe consistency is key in building trust with them too. Safety first! My mother is a trauma nurse so I am always looking out for any potential danger and I’m a very cautious person.

About: Ever since I was was about 13, I've always been the person to call if someone was going out of down and they needed someone to watch their dogs. I've been able to properly care for 7 dogs at most at a time. I love dogs and will do my very best to make sure they are well taken care of. I love being outside, so I am more than willing to go outside with your dog whenever they need or want to. Making sure your dog gets as much love (if not more than) as you give them is a big priority for me. I've taken care of breeds from Chihuahuas to Saint Bernards. You can trust in me to be the best sitter for your dog.

About: Here’s an updated version that includes your experience with other animals: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and have always lived with two cats and one dog, so caring for pets has been a natural part of my everyday life. I truly love animals and enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Besides cats and dogs, I’ve also cared for many other animals over the years, including bunnies, hamsters, chickens, and other small pets. In addition to caring for my own animals, I’ve regularly provided cat sitting for a family, including feeding, cleaning the litter box, giving plenty of attention and playtime, and making sure the cats stayed happy while their owners were away. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I’m always happy to adapt to their individual needs and provide them with loving, reliable care. Schedule For the next three weeks, I’m especially flexible since I’m currently off work, so I’m available most days and times. After that, I’m generally available during the daytime from the morning until around 3:00 PM, and again in the evenings from around 7:00 PM onward. At this time, I’m not available for overnight pet sitting. Safety & Environment At this time, I don’t offer pet care in my own home. Instead, I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel most safe and relaxed. I’m available for drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning, walks, and giving your pets plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and any special instructions to make sure they receive the best possible care.

About: I treat my dogs like my kids and I’ll treat yours the same way! I have two senior chihuahuas, Baby and Goldie (both 4 lbs), who are sweet and used to being around other dogs. Because of them, I specialize in caring for small dogs and really understand that they need extra attention, patience, and a gentle touch. I’m especially experienced with senior pups, including accidents and giving that extra bit of care. I keep a calm, safe environment and always make sure every dog feels comfortable and cared for. I know how important it is to feel at ease leaving your pet with someone, so I’m happy to send updates and pictures as often as you’d like. Good communication is really important to me. I want you to feel totally comfortable while your pet is with me. I work from home so my schedule is flexible! I am constantly going on walks throughout the day. It’s important that my dogs don’t get bored. I live in a one bedroom apartment. My apartment is super dog friendly and has an elevator. I live on a quiet culdesac perfect for walking the dogs throughout the day. I’m also near Balboa park and go on walks there with my dogs!

I work Monday through Friday and am available after 5:00 PM on weekdays. On weekends, I am available all day and evening to provide loving and reliable pet care. I provide pets with plenty of attention, care, and companionship while following their regular routine. In both my home and a client’s home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get exercise and playtime, and feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
