About: Hi everyone! I am a life-long animal lover and am very excited at the opportunity to help care for your fur-kids! I have plenty of experience with walking, house sitting, and drop-ins. I work with seniors and puppies, aggressive and meek, dogs who pull on the leash and dogs who tire out before they can even pull! Your furry friends are in the most capable of hands with me! I work remotely from home and can also work from anywhere. That said, scheduling is never a problem for me. I have very open availability and am always ready for my next appointment! While caring for pet's in their own home, I like to have very detailed chats with the pet parents to find out all aspects of their pets day-to-day (favorite toys. things to avoid, their favorite spots to hang out, etc) and will periodically check in just to give updates, send photos, etc. I want the pet parents to be as comfortable with me as the pets are!

About: As a human race, we're lucky to have these wonderful creatures. Unfortunately, my fiancee and I don't have the space for our own pooch and would welcome the opportunity to meet as many of these beautiful animals as possible. For years, I've worked from home and my fiancee has a surprisingly flexible schedule. Essentially, it would fit wonderfully into our schedules and be a welcome responsibility. First and foremost, we would take care of the pets according to the owner's instructions and needs (and pets needs). Secondly, we provide a warm, loving, safe, and comfortable home for pets. It would be like a vacation getaway for them. Furthermore, we understand that sometimes a mess can happen. This is why it's beneficial that my fiancee and I both now how to get stains out, haha. Sometimes someone spills the milk. But it ain't worth crying over.
“Genesis has watched and stayed with our dog multiple times now, and we never have to worry about him when we’re gone! She keeps us updated and sends lots of pictures and videos, and she’s managed to form a bond with our anxious dog and give us peace of mind when we’re away”

“I obviously HATE leaving my pup at home while I’m at work. But I feel so relieved knowing that I have Elizabeth to come check on her. Elizabeth is personable, great with my dog, and always responds to me quickly. Thank you Elizabeth!”

“Emily was amazing with my dog, Watson! She was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. She always checked in with me, sent lots of photos, and made him feel truly loved. Now, when we’re home, Watson will walk up to the door hoping she shows up, which says everything about how much he adores her. I’m so grateful for the care she gave him and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can fully trust with their pup :)”

“Jill was great! She looked after our two cats while we were on vacation. She was always on time for feeding our cats and spent enough time to play with them as well. We had cute pictures and updates on our cats everyday. We highly recommend her and will definitely contact her in the future when we need a sitter.”

About: I grew up with mostly dogs, but also ended up with three cats. I’ve pet sat for family and friends. But more recently have helped dog sit while my clients were on vacation. They were senior dogs who needed medication and some extra love and care. I’m currently an afternoon nanny 2pm-6pm on Week days. This will allow me to do early mornings and midday visits or walks. I am open to evening visits as well. My weekends are some what flexible, with enough advance notice I am free to visit or petsit if schedule permits. If I’m going to walk a dog, I make sure that arrive promptly, take them for a walk and provide update. I’ll make sure to be respectful of your space and privacy. Same would apply if I’m doing a drop in for a kitty. Make sure your pets are safe and happy. When I sit for a family I can do drop ins or spend the night. I walk in the morning and feed your pets and then go to work in the afternoon. Come back walk and play and do dinner. I’ll make sure to clean up after my visits and respect your home.
About: I grew up raising animals (big and small) in Texas and when I moved to LA for work, I started to take care of animals for friends and colleagues. If I can give a pet owner peace of mind their fur baby will be taken care of, plus have the joy and being with that animal, that’s a win-win I work from home as a freelance creative and have plenty of time and energy to care for animals. I love them so much, it really doesn’t feel like a job. It’s wonderful to care for them and help pet owners have peace of mind their fur babies are in good hands Every pet reacts differently to new people, and every home has their own routines and preferences. I’ve always found if you show respect to an animal and what they’re used to, you’ll bond with them and make them feel safe. I’m very used to every client having different needs, there’s no “one size fits all” approach. I live in the first floor of an apartment with a community yard and I have a patio with grass for quick potty breaks. I enjoy Long walks in my Valley Village neighborhood which is very safe, and I love walking dogs multiple times a day if needed
About: Growing up in any pet oriented household has taught me that these little fellows are as much of an extension of the family as anyone else, and should be loved and cared for just as equally. My schedule is currently wide open! Wednesdays tend to be a blackout day currently. However, I am always willing to coordinated with you on just about anytime of the day you might need a helping hand. Establishing trust and good vibes right off the bat is key for me. Mutual respect is also very important. I understand that some pets are very protective of their friends and families, so I make it a point to be respectful of this behavior.

“We are so incredibly lucky to have found Sea! We were going on a last minute family vacation and our usual pet sitter couldn’t make it. We only had a few days to find someone to watch our dog and cat, and thank goodness Sea responded right away and was able to help us! We had a meet and greet literally the day before we were leaving, and Sea picked up on everything so quickly we already knew we were leaving our fur babies (and plant babies!) in good hands. Sea was so good about her updates and some were so funny it gave us a good chuckle! We will definitely be using Sea again!!”

“Naomi was a dedicated sitter and was very helpful and communicative with me about my dog. She took a few things in stride and I appreciate that. Would hire her again for certain.”

About: Dogs have been apart of my life since day one, with over 12 dogs and counting throughout time! During Covid, I decided to pick up volunteer work at my local dog shelter, with tasks including: walking dogs, cleaning kennels and showering with love. Through the volunteer work, it was required to learn about dog behavior and basic emergency situations that could arise. I also own a 3-year old Aussie that brings me so much happiness and joy on a daily basis! I am currently a self-employed musician and work on my own schedule. I have availability during the week and weekends to fit your schedule and needs! I have a fenced, grass, backyard and a 3-year old Aussie that can keep your pup company and play hard! I also have a crate if that's desired.
“Katherine is so great with our cat, Opal! She helped us when our sitter didn’t workout last minute and has been awesome with Opal. We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets 😊”

“Sara is amazing!! She communicated every visit and sent photos and truly cared for my two kitties. She was very flexible and able to stop by unscheduled in a pinch… Especially last minute when my flight was delayed she worked around her schedule to stop by and give their feedings and medication. She is super kind, reliable, thoughtful, absolutely trust her for all my upcoming cat care. She’s an absolute gem!!! So grateful for her!!”

“Dea was amazing! I was so anxious about leaving Cali behind, but she made the process soo easy. She was so communicative and I can tell she puts a ton of love and care into what she does. Will definitely book her again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Valley Village
It was my first time using Rover and I had a very good first experience. Mackenzie came for a meet and greet and made me feel comfortable leaving my fur babies in her care. She did a great job communicating and handling my cats having to be separate for the weekend. I would def rebook with her .

Ella did such an amazing job with my senior dog!! She even went an extra visit to make sure the AC was working! Seeing all of Saharas happy report card photos, and knowing how well she was taken care of made me feel so at ease during my trip. I cannot say enough good things! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! 🤗🐾

Our senior cat feels very comfortable in Valerie’s care. She’s a wonderful cat sitter! Our cat needs medication and can be a bit difficult about taking it, but Valerie was able to give it to her without any issues. We felt completely at ease knowing our cat was in good hands. We’ll definitely be booking with Valerie again!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Valley Village. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
