About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets of all personalities and energy levels. I got my dog when I was 5 years old and he was truly my best friend for 17 years. Ever since then, dogs have always been a huge part of my life. After moving from Minnesota to California, I had the opportunity to work on the TV show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan and it’s still one of the best jobs I’ve ever had! Being around dogs every day only deepened my appreciation for how unique and special they are. When I got engaged, my then roommate surprised me with a puppy party Bridal Shower! She knew I didn’t want anything traditional so when I walked into our apartment and there were puppies running all over the kitchen, I almost died of happiness! These days, I’m building my own genealogy research business and looking to spend more time caring for animals again through dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship. While I’ve always been a dog person, many of my friends have cats, so I’ve grown into a cat lover too! I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and genuinely happy around animals. Whether your pet needs a walk, play time, or just someone caring to check in on them, I’d love to help. My schedule is currently pretty flexible, especially for daytime walks and drop-in visits. I primarily serve pets close to my neighborhood, which allows me to provide dependable care and consistent availability throughout the week. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I pay close attention during walks and visits to make sure pets are secure, comfortable, and well-cared for at all times.
“Naomi was great! She sent pictures and updates for my cat Sal during her drop in visits. She followed instructions and was easy to coordinate with. I’d definitely recommend her!”

“My cat took to Elizabeth the minute she walked in (and my cat is very shy!) I felt more than safe knowing she was coming over every day to be her!! Also, bonus, she takes the MOST amazing pics!!! 😻”

“Kat has been a great help for potty breaks with our dog. He's slow to warm up with new people and Kat was great taking the time to get to know him. She follows his care instructions to the letter and gives us a very detailed report each visit, we look forward to working with her more!”

“Adam was awesome! We came back to very happy dogs and Adam sent us plenty of pictures to let us know how happy our dogs were. We have large, high energy dogs so this was no easy task! Adam definitely went above and beyond what was expected!!”

“Aura was amazing and was on time. She works with small and large dogs and my large dog was so calm around her. She even gave Aura kisses. She took care of my dog and respected my home said it was her own. I am going to hire her again.”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and absolutely love the joy and comfort they bring. No fur baby is too big or too small to accompany me on my neighborhood walks. I look forward to becoming your pets new friend! I’m a freelance assistant with a ton of free time to cater to your pets needs. I have the flexibility to be available for you in the morning, afternoon or night time. I live in a secure apartment building with no children or other pets in my home. I have a park nearby where everyone walks their dogs, water and food bowl on hand if needed and ready to accommodate each and every one of their needs.

“Seanna was great! She kept me updated on all her visits. My two cats were in good hands with her. Will definitely contact her again in the future to take care of my babies.”

I am based in North Hollywood and generally service Noho, Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City and parts of Sherman Oaks I don’t accept animals from multiple households at once for my safety and theirs. I have multiple screen doors where they can safely watch the world outside at all the people and dogs who might pass by. I can also offer daytime sitting in someone’s home as long as my laptop and internet access is allowed!
“Catherine has watched my cat multiple times now and I can’t recommend her more! I got videos of my cat purring so loud, he clearly had a great time with her. Super reliable and easy to work with, Catherine is great!!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments for several years through friends, family, and neighbors. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, and keeping pets on their normal routines. I have experience with both high energy pets and more relaxed or senior animals, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. I’m very attentive, patient, and treat every pet like my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’m available for drop in visits, walks, and sitting on both weekdays and weekends. I can adjust to your pet’s routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep spaces clean, and make sure pets are secure at all times. About: Hi there! My name is Jennifer and I am a lover of animals and nature. I am very attentive to the animals that I work with and I am highly sensitive to the needs of those around me, including animals. I grew up having a variety of pets, including cats, dogs, fish, snakes, and hamsters. I currently only have one pet, a bearded dragon (who lives in a tank). I have several years of experience working as a pet groomer's assistant for a mobile pet grooming business, where I worked daily with dogs and the occasional cat. I am happy to come to your four-legged friend for dog walking and check-ins, or they can come to my home for boardings. Thank you for visiting my profile and I look forward to meeting your fur baby! I am a part-time student so I have plenty of time to give attention to your beloved best friend! I am home most days of the week and only out for short periods of time to run errands. My schedule is fairly flexible. For boardings: I have a front yard & a back yard, however the front yard will only be used if your pet is leashed so as to not risk them getting out. The backyard is escape-proofed for even very small dogs, and your pet will never be left outside unsupervised. The backyard is big enough for playing fetch & potty breaks. I typically do not leave any animals alone in my home for more than a couple hours at a time, in case I need to run an errand. For sittings: I am very courteous as to keep your home in the condition that it was left in upon arrival. I will put items where I found them & treat your pets and your home with the same care & respect that I would give my own pets & home!
About: We both have had and cared for dogs since we were children. We’d be very happy to open up our home to your best friend. My wife and I work from home so your dog will never be alone for long. Our regular routine includes walks around the block and local parks. Our building is very pet friendly. We have dog bowls, medium sized crate and bedding. We also have chew toys and the occasional dog treat.
About: Cat dad to two wonderful children. In my spare time I rescue, foster, and find homes for cats. I’m comfortable with all sorts of cats, from lazy to spicy, I always let the cat choose their own pace in how they want to interact with me. While I don’t have a dog right now, I grew up surrounded by them and have a lot of experience taking care, walking, and playing with them. I have experience with senior animals and giving medicine when needed. I will treat your fur babies with the love and care I give my own. I’m a copywriter/proofreader who works from home so I’m happy to fit your animal care taking needs into my very flexible schedule. I’m very patient and let the animals warm up to me at their own pace. Whether that’s on walks or when dropping in for a home visit.
About: Hi, I'm Christina! 🐾 I've spent the last 20 years loving animals in every form — dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, you name it. But dogs have always had my whole heart. My love for dogs runs deep and personal. I'm the proud parent of Ricky, a pit bull who came into my life after the passing of my grandfather — he was my grandfather's dog, and keeping him meant keeping a piece of someone I loved. Ricky taught me that dogs aren't just pets. They're family, comfort, and connection. That's exactly the energy I bring to every walk, visit, and overnight stay. I want to be the person your dog runs to the door for. The fun aunt who knows all their favorite spots, respects their quirks, and makes sure they feel safe, loved, and completely at home — even when you're not there. I'm experienced with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including pit bulls and larger breeds that sometimes get overlooked. I'm also comfortable administering medication to cats and have cared for reptiles and fish, so no pet household is too complicated for me. Whether your pup needs a quick visit, a long adventure, or a sleepover with someone who will treat them like my own — I've got them. 🐾
About: Hi, I’m Michelle! I provide boutique, in-home dog care in a calm, low-stress environment designed for dogs who thrive with personalized attention and consistency. Unlike high-volume boarding environments, I intentionally host only 2 client families at a time whenever possible, allowing your dog to receive individualized care, close supervision, and a quieter home setting. I understand how important trust and communication are when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. My background in hospitality and client relations has made me highly detail oriented, responsive, and dependable. I treat every booking with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. My home is best suited for: • Dogs who prefer a calm environment • Small to medium breeds • Doodles and companion breeds • Senior dogs • Dogs who may feel anxious in busy kennel settings • Owners looking for reliable communication and peace of mind while traveling What you can expect: • Personalized care and attention • A clean, structured, supervised environment • Frequent updates, photos, and communication • Flexible routines based on your dog’s needs • Walks, playtime, rest, and lots of affection • A respectful, low-volume environment without chaotic pack boarding I know every dog has a unique personality and comfort level, and I take the time to make them feel safe, relaxed, and at home. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I'm currently working part time from home, so I'll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pups! I'm available for doggie day care and boarding from morning drop off until evening pick up at a mutually agreed upon time. I have a comfortable & peaceful home, fully fenced backyard and a sweet friendly dog (Miniature Goldendoodle)to keep your fur baby company. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.
About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

About: I have taken care of friends' dogs and neighbors' dogs a lot growing up. I have had the same dog since I was 6 years old, and he is now 16 years old. I love taking care of him and hanging out with him. I have done a lot of walking dogs as well. I am currently looking for part-time work as a server. I recently graduated from college and am looking to focus on personal health for a few months before looking for full-time jobs. Because of this, my schedule and routine are flexible in a way that accommodates pet care. I live in an apartment with roommates, so I do not currently own pets, and I cannot house pets in my place. With my childhood dog, I would always participate in his feeding, walking, grooming/washing, and taking him on walks. I loved sitting with him and giving him pets as well. I am mainly looking for dog walking, pet sitting, and helping with potty breaks as well.

Sarah was wonderful with our two dogs, one a larger energetic dog and one a smaller senior dog. She followed our care schedule exactly and posted updates showing our dogs were happy and cared for. Great communication and follow-up too! I didn't have to worry about our pups -- they were well take care of. Thank you Sarah!

Ella did such an amazing job with my senior dog!! She even went an extra visit to make sure the AC was working! Seeing all of Saharas happy report card photos, and knowing how well she was taken care of made me feel so at ease during my trip. I cannot say enough good things! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! 🤗🐾

Our senior cat feels very comfortable in Valerie’s care. She’s a wonderful cat sitter! Our cat needs medication and can be a bit difficult about taking it, but Valerie was able to give it to her without any issues. We felt completely at ease knowing our cat was in good hands. We’ll definitely be booking with Valerie again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
