About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets of all personalities and energy levels. I got my dog when I was 5 years old and he was truly my best friend for 17 years. Ever since then, dogs have always been a huge part of my life. After moving from Minnesota to California, I had the opportunity to work on the TV show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan and it’s still one of the best jobs I’ve ever had! Being around dogs every day only deepened my appreciation for how unique and special they are. When I got engaged, my then roommate surprised me with a puppy party Bridal Shower! She knew I didn’t want anything traditional so when I walked into our apartment and there were puppies running all over the kitchen, I almost died of happiness! These days, I’m building my own genealogy research business and looking to spend more time caring for animals again through dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship. While I’ve always been a dog person, many of my friends have cats, so I’ve grown into a cat lover too! I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and genuinely happy around animals. Whether your pet needs a walk, play time, or just someone caring to check in on them, I’d love to help. My schedule is currently pretty flexible, especially for daytime walks and drop-in visits. I primarily serve pets close to my neighborhood, which allows me to provide dependable care and consistent availability throughout the week. About: Having a dog and 2 cats as a kid was the best childhood! I am home most of the day so I have lots of time to walk and play with your pup! I live with my boyfriend who also loves animals. I have been freelance dog sitting/walking for the last year through friends but looking for more furry friends here! After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

“Gabriela's catsitting for our cat Riddle was the definition of above and beyond. Our cat is one year old and very energetic. When this meant that she toppled the auto-feeding machine that we had set up for the mornings (multiple times), Gabriela went out of her way to come to our apartment outside of her scheduled check-ins (multiple times) to make sure Riddle still got fed and to fix the machine (ultimately improvising a clever solution to support it involving a scarf and a bookshelf). Needless to say, we will be getting a new auto-feeder but keeping the same catsitter in the future if we can, haha.
