“Alina was absolutely wonderful! She met Twister the day before I left and reviewed his instructions, and she did a great job of the daily feedings and giving my boy attention. I also appreciated the photos and videos on the daily check in, and her communication was just great. I look forward to having her watch Twister in the future.”
“Thank you Tasha for your thoughtful care of our sweet kitty boys. It's rare when I hear back from sitters that they were able to connect with them, given their wandering nature by heart.. your calm and sweet presence was definitely felt. We look forward to rebooking when needed. Thank you infinitely!!”

“We booked Ginneh based on a recommendation from our foster parents to our 2 kittens and I am glad we did! She followed our instructions about feeding and she cleaned litter and surroundings very thoroughly. She even brought churu treat from her own house! She sent us pictures for every visit and that was really good for us. I have two shy kittens but on second day of Ginneh’s visit, the kittens were used to her already and giving scratches and playing with her!! Overall, I am happy with her care and I will book her again for future! Thank you Ginneh :)”

“Shay was fantastic from start to finish while checking in on our two cats daily during a vacation! She was detail oriented and paid close attention to our fur-babies’ personalities, preferences, and favorite toys. It was always very clear that she truly cared about the cats’ well-being and it didn’t feel like just a job. Highly highly recommend!”

“I absolutely love Alexandra and so does Murry!!! I will be 1000% a repeat customer! Alexandra took such good care of Murry and he loves her!!! I really can’t thank her enough for taking care of my baby!”
“Rachael was the BEST cat sitter I basically could have imagined. Our cat, Lucy, is extremely shy and we've had other cat sitters that she never came out of hiding for, but from Day 1, she and Rachael were besties! To say I was pleased is an understatement. Her daily updates, photos and occasional videos were also a total delight. As far as I'm concerned, Rachael is the best of the best!”

“My dog is very shy and timid around people she doesn’t know but Megan made sure to make her feel safe. She quickly warmed up to Megan and made the drop in visits successful. We look forward to Megan’s future visits!”

Available on weekdays/ weekends- mostly flexible schedule. Can stay overnight if needed, available on holidays. Can stop by for short time to check on your pets, play with them and feed them. I am available to stop by, walk/feed and care for your dogs or cats. I am also available to stay overnight if you are traveling and need full time care for your pets.
“I was so impressed with Michelle and Liz. They played with my (very active) cat and I was never worrried for a moment. I felt like my cat was being taken care of by a friend. This was the first time I left my cat alone with ANYONE and I was very nervous about how she would do but I got pictures of her cuddling and playing with Michelle and Liz and I felt so relieved every day. I would definitely use them again. They were a godsend.”

“Sarah and David were amazing with our boys! We had a last minute need and they were responsive and accommodating, highly recommend them and we’ll be reaching out to them in the future next time we need a hand.”

About: I’ve always shared my home with dogs, whether living with roommates and family who had pets or stepping in to pet-sit for friends. Even without having a dog of my own, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the unique bond they share with us 'two-legged animals.' I love their capacity for unconditional trust and pure affection—they really are the best companions. Whether I’m matching their high energy or enjoying a quiet moment of calm, I find so much joy in their presence Currently I am on sabbatical from my job and have time to spend with pets. I like taking dogs out for walks at the park, or just around the neighborhood. Unless some other life responsibility comes up, I am open to spend as much time as I would like with the fuzzy butts! I live in a small 8 unit apartment building in a very walkable neighborhood. I live very close to Griffith park and love to visit there with dogs. My apartment is a 2/2 and there are no limits to if a pet is on the furniture with me. I love to snuggle if they like to.
“Brandi was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and our kitties’ first time meeting someone new without us so they were super shy but she was very patient with them and always prioritized their comfort. She was always on time, had great communication, and send pictures. Would absolutely book her again!”

About: I’ve always had pets of my own and have been caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with kittens, adult pets, and senior or medically complex animals, including providing around-the-clock hospice care for my own beloved cat after his ataxia diagnosis. I currently share my home with Leon, my one-year-old cat, and Chicken, my 26+ year-old African Grey parrot—both rescues (Chicken was found abandoned and taken in) and very loved. I love caring for pets—cats, dogs, and birds of all types and sizes—and I’m happy to welcome other small animals too, just let me know! I treat every pet with patience, attention, and affection, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. I work from home and my schedule is flexible. My goal is always to schedule any services based on the needs of you and your pet(s). I will always follow any instructions on how you prefer your pet to be cared for. Otherwise, I will always care for them in the safest and healthiest way available. The same way I care for my own pets. Leon is an indoor kitty with unlimited access to fresh air and sunshine from his lounging cots attached to our large windows. He loves his wet food, and his meals are on a “flexible” schedule, and no all day grazing. He receives lots of playtime with his humans and more independently. Of course, he gets brushed, not always with a happy purr, but he gets as much as he will tolerate.
“Emily is such an amazing pet sitter. I had not needed to use her services for several months so when I reached out to book, she took the initiative to ask if anything had changed since she last checked on my cat, which I really appreciated. She also always sends the cutest photos.”

“Talia was amazing. I needed to book last minute and she was able to help me out in a pinch to come check in on my dog for the week while I was at work. We did a meet and greet first and I could tell she’s very kind and loves dogs. My dog warmed up to her very quickly. She would update me with photos and I could tell my pup had a great time with her. Great communication and professional, I would recommend her to anyone looking on Rover.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Glendale
Rachael is the absolute BEST! I feel so grateful that we found her. I'd call her my cat’s bestie, and honestly I think my cat, Lucy, has grown from having Rachael in her life. We were away for a longer trip this time, and I came home feeling like Lucy hadn’t just been “looked after” — she had been loved, played with, engaged with, and genuinely nurtured. She seems more confident and playful, and I really believe all of that attention and interaction was good for her. Rachael has a wonderful way of connecting with Lucy and bringing out more of her personality. Rachael is also the best at communicating. I loved getting her updates and always knew how Lucy was doing. We even had some unexpected complications with access to our building while we were away, and Rachael was so steady and flexible through all of it. I never once worried about her reliability or about Lucy being in good hands. It is SUCH a gift to travel and know that someone you completely trust is caring for your animal — and even more of a gift to come home feeling like your cat had a wonderful experience too. I can’t recommend Rachael highly enough.

Yana did an excellent job looking after my cat while I was on vacation. She was consistent in her arrival times, prompt in her communication, and took extra time to play with my cat, who seemed to warm up to her very quickly. She also sent adorable photos of my cat eating and playing. The instructions for house key drop off were clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend and will be booking again in future.

Nikki is a thoughtful, communicative, and kind person and cat sitter! After our initial meet-and-greet, we felt very comfortable booking her for a drop-in visit with our cat, Susie. During the meet-and-greet, Nikki took her time getting acquainted with Susie and immediately made us feel at ease. On the day of the visit, Nikki was on time, sent us several great photos, and left an incredibly detailed and reassuring update. She patiently let Susie warm up to her, gave her treats and affection, and even spent time with her outside on our patio, despite getting attacked by mosquitoes in the process! 😂 We especially appreciated how observant she was. She noticed a brief change in Susie’s breathing, gave her some space, made sure it stopped, and let us know about it afterward. That kind of attentiveness means a lot when someone else is caring for your pet. She even put on some jazz for Susie before leaving and set it on a timer so she’d have a little company afterward. We highly recommend her!

Shay is an incredible pet sitter! Our cats love her, and knowing they’re with her gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. She always follows our care instructions carefully, sends detailed updates, and shares the cutest photos that brighten our day. We couldn’t ask for better care for our boys and will absolutely continue booking with her for all of our future trips!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Glendale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
