About: I’ve always had pets of my own and have been caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with kittens, adult pets, and senior or medically complex animals, including providing around-the-clock hospice care for my own beloved cat after his ataxia diagnosis. I currently share my home with Leon, my one-year-old cat, and Chicken, my 26+ year-old African Grey parrot—both rescues (Chicken was found abandoned and taken in) and very loved. I love caring for pets—cats, dogs, and birds of all types and sizes—and I’m happy to welcome other small animals too, just let me know! I treat every pet with patience, attention, and affection, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. I work from home and my schedule is flexible. My goal is always to schedule any services based on the needs of you and your pet(s). I will always follow any instructions on how you prefer your pet to be cared for. Otherwise, I will always care for them in the safest and healthiest way available. The same way I care for my own pets. Leon is an indoor kitty with unlimited access to fresh air and sunshine from his lounging cots attached to our large windows. He loves his wet food, and his meals are on a “flexible” schedule, and no all day grazing. He receives lots of playtime with his humans and more independently. Of course, he gets brushed, not always with a happy purr, but he gets as much as he will tolerate.

About: I’ve always shared my home with dogs, whether living with roommates and family who had pets or stepping in to pet-sit for friends. Even without having a dog of my own, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the unique bond they share with us 'two-legged animals.' I love their capacity for unconditional trust and pure affection—they really are the best companions. Whether I’m matching their high energy or enjoying a quiet moment of calm, I find so much joy in their presence Currently I am on sabbatical from my job and have time to spend with pets. I like taking dogs out for walks at the park, or just around the neighborhood. Unless some other life responsibility comes up, I am open to spend as much time as I would like with the fuzzy butts! I live in a small 8 unit apartment building in a very walkable neighborhood. I live very close to Griffith park and love to visit there with dogs. My apartment is a 2/2 and there are no limits to if a pet is on the furniture with me. I love to snuggle if they like to.

“Alina was absolutely wonderful! She met Twister the day before I left and reviewed his instructions, and she did a great job of the daily feedings and giving my boy attention. I also appreciated the photos and videos on the daily check in, and her communication was just great. I look forward to having her watch Twister in the future.”
About: I have pets of my own. I see pets as part of family so the care I provide is same as for my fuzzy love bugs, lots of luv and snuggles and maybe some extra treats if permitted ;) I know what’s it like to be away from your fuzzy friends so I will provide regular updates if you wish so. Available on weekdays/ weekends- mostly flexible schedule. Can stay overnight if needed, available on holidays. Can stop by for short time to check on your pets, play with them and feed them. I am available to stop by, walk/feed and care for your dogs or cats. I am also available to stay overnight if you are traveling and need full time care for your pets.
“Caroline is wonderful! My cat is very shy and hides from everyone. But Caroline really connected with my cat, and I have photos of kitty cuddles and playtime everyday that I’ve only ever witnessed with me. Will definitely hire her again.”

About: I adopted my first own dog in 2012 and cared for him until he passed of old age in 2024. He was a half English half American bulldog. Now I have a French bulldog, an 8‑year‑old cat and a guinea pig. I understand dog and cat behavior and routines really well. Friends and family have trusted me for years to feed, walk, and give meds to their pets and I treat every pet like part of my family. I understand the true purpose of walks for dogs and always let them take their time sniffing and exploring so they feel mentally stimulated and relaxed. I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom, so I’m home most of the day and available any time, any day. I’m used to juggling different feeding, walking, and playtime schedules, and your pet will get lots of attention and company throughout the day. I follow your feeding, walking, and crate routines so they feel safe and consistent. I’m calm, patient, and experienced with seniors and more nervous pets, and I always keep a close eye on them to make sure they’re comfortable and secure.
“I couldn’t ask for a better cat sitter than Mindy! She went over and beyond taking care of my cat while I was away. I booked relatively last minute and had a few late adjustments to my travel plans but Mindy was very understanding and flexible. She provided plenty of updates during her visits and I could tell she genuinely cared about my cat’s well-being. I had a great experience with Mindy and would absolutely recommend her to others!”

About: I’ve had my anxious baby boy black cat since he was a little foster kitten in 2020. I also grew up with a crazy maltipoo, birds, turtles, and more, so I’m very comfortable caring for all types and personalities! I’m currently working part time as a nanny for human babies, so I have plenty of odd hours to help with your fur babies too! I’m happy to follow any safety and care instructions you have. I can play with more social animals or be gentle and quiet with more anxious pets.
“Tamar is a special treat for your fur baby! Dudley is my 16-year nine month old senior, and she gave him the best care while I was on my 4 day get-away. She went above and beyond my expectations. I hesitate to say Tamar definitely will be my back-up for Dudley, because she may be overbooked!! 😃 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: A pet needs extra love and care when owners are absent. For this reason it’s a special choice to have me care for your loved one. Caring for your pet is my only employment which allows me to have 100% commitment. As the pet gets used to me as the same sub pet parent the easier to transition when you are not around. It’s imperative to continue with same pet caregiver to alleviate some anxiety. I am happy to commit a loving care. Your pet is family to you and to me. Caring for your pet is my priority and only employment. Flexible and supportive at any time or day. My joy is to have the company from caring for your pet. I have an open space for pets and my home is open for the pets to sit, lay and explore until they make it their own home.
“Rachael was wonderful with our dog. She made sure she was eating and getting exercise. The communication between me and her was outstanding, she provided a full report of her visits. Also she took unbelievable pictures of my puppy further proving how much my dog enjoyed her time with her! If you're looking for someone to care for your pet, she should be your first choice!”

About: From hamsters and lizards, to cats and dogs, I have been a devoted pet parent (and aunt) my whole life. I absolutely adore my Shiba Inu and treat her like the princess she is. I would be honored by the opportunity to walk or hang out with your dog and provide anything they might need. I have experience with training as well as pet-sitting and checking in on dogs of friends and family. I am currently a freelancer and work from home. I can be available with short notice mornings, afternoons, and sometimes evenings. Just let me know and we can work something out (: I live in a home with a fully fenced yard. My dog loves to play out back and on the front lawn. There's plenty of room indoors as well.
About: When I come to California, I occasionally take care of my friend’s dogs. I visit at home, walk, feed, take to myself during the day or night. I also want to keep your pet company. I’m part-time student and online worker. Absolutely unavailable until 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I can adjust my schedule to accommodate our meeting on other days. I have a 2-floors loft apartment and fenced yard for dogs on my roof top. Every day I walk for 2 hours in Glendale neighborhoods, could walk with your pet for pleasure. We have a quite community so why I can't care of difficult special needs dogs. Warn me in advance if you want to give me a puppy under 1 year old without vaccines. I will release the day from other bookings and clean the apartment. Because babies need a clean and safe environment.

“Shay is fantastic! She sent us very detailed updates using Rover card with cute pictures. Archie loved her and we would definitely like to have her back again! ”

“Bella has looked after my dog and cat on separate occasions. She sends detailed updates with pictures and videos. Both pets were very well taken care of (and enjoyed being with her) and I immediately trusted her after the first visit (and I do not trust most people to take care of my animals). She left me a lovely note and printed photos of my cat the first time and a photo of my dog the next time. Bella goes above and beyond. I am so grateful.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Glendale
Shay is an incredible pet sitter! Our cats love her, and knowing they’re with her gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. She always follows our care instructions carefully, sends detailed updates, and shares the cutest photos that brighten our day. We couldn’t ask for better care for our boys and will absolutely continue booking with her for all of our future trips!

Alicia has been providing drop-in visits for my cats twice a day whenever I'm away, and she takes wonderful care of them. She always sends me photos and videos to keep me updated, which means so much to me. Knowing my cats are in such caring and capable hands gives me peace of mind and eases my worries. I'm truly grateful for the love and attention she gives them.

Kaylah was so gentle and great towards moomoo! She was cautious not to get too close as he gets anxious and took her time getting go know him. We had a non stressful vacation knowing we were in such great hands. Every report was detailed loaded with a bunch of photos. I would highly recommend booking Kaylah to take care of your precious fur babies!

Rachael was the BEST cat sitter I basically could have imagined. Our cat, Lucy, is extremely shy and we've had other cat sitters that she never came out of hiding for, but from Day 1, she and Rachael were besties! To say I was pleased is an understatement. Her daily updates, photos and occasional videos were also a total delight. As far as I'm concerned, Rachael is the best of the best!

Wow. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was having Alex look after my 2 kittens. It’s always stressful to be away from pets, but all of the positive reviews I read about Alex turned out to be true. He gave detailed reports of his interactions with my little guys and sent lots of photos. This gave me so much reassurance that all was well. I recommend Alex 100% if you want the very best care for your fur babies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
