“My dog is very shy and timid around people she doesn’t know but Megan made sure to make her feel safe. She quickly warmed up to Megan and made the drop in visits successful. We look forward to Megan’s future visits!”

About: I’ve always shared my home with dogs, whether living with roommates and family who had pets or stepping in to pet-sit for friends. Even without having a dog of my own, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the unique bond they share with us 'two-legged animals.' I love their capacity for unconditional trust and pure affection—they really are the best companions. Whether I’m matching their high energy or enjoying a quiet moment of calm, I find so much joy in their presence Currently I am on sabbatical from my job and have time to spend with pets. I like taking dogs out for walks at the park, or just around the neighborhood. Unless some other life responsibility comes up, I am open to spend as much time as I would like with the fuzzy butts! I live in a small 8 unit apartment building in a very walkable neighborhood. I live very close to Griffith park and love to visit there with dogs. My apartment is a 2/2 and there are no limits to if a pet is on the furniture with me. I love to snuggle if they like to.
About: I have a 4-year-old intact male pug of my own who love and take great care of. I am knowledgeable on what foods dogs should eat, what plants and ingredients to avoid, and how to make sure they are fit and healthy. I treat my fur baby like family and I would take care of yours the same because I know how stressful it is to leave your family with a stranger. I have taken care of pets of friends before to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets. I can also administer medication as needed. I am currently at home full-time and live in a walkable neighborhood. While my apartment may be small, I make up for it by keeping active and taking long strolls around my neighborhood. I live at home with family but I have converted the living to a room to fit my sleeping needs as well as provide space for a living room. It is enough space for my fur baby as well as your own pup as long as they are not too large. I make up for the small space by keeping active and taking long strolls.
“Alicia from the start was extremely responsive and a joy to work with! She visited Loki as requested and always super punctual. After every visit, Alicia would give a comprehensive summary, took and sent a ton of photos and videos, and send it to us. I felt at all times that Loki was in great hands and would 100% recommend Alicia to anyone!! Super friendly and you can clearly tell she loves animals.”

“Rachael was the BEST cat sitter I basically could have imagined. Our cat, Lucy, is extremely shy and we've had other cat sitters that she never came out of hiding for, but from Day 1, she and Rachael were besties! To say I was pleased is an understatement. Her daily updates, photos and occasional videos were also a total delight. As far as I'm concerned, Rachael is the best of the best!”

About: I’ve had my anxious baby boy black cat since he was a little foster kitten in 2020. I also grew up with a crazy maltipoo, birds, turtles, and more, so I’m very comfortable caring for all types and personalities! I’m currently working part time as a nanny for human babies, so I have plenty of odd hours to help with your fur babies too! I’m happy to follow any safety and care instructions you have. I can play with more social animals or be gentle and quiet with more anxious pets.
“Tamar is a special treat for your fur baby! Dudley is my 16-year nine month old senior, and she gave him the best care while I was on my 4 day get-away. She went above and beyond my expectations. I hesitate to say Tamar definitely will be my back-up for Dudley, because she may be overbooked!! 😃 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Michael was amazing with my young cat Luna. He was available with short notice and went above and beyond! He was patient to go through a few extra hurdles to get access to my super secure apartment building to make the visits happen. Will have him sit with Luna again!”

“Sorn went above and beyond to care for my senior cat who had medication needs while I was gone! She even checked on my second cat who is notoriously hard to find and hard to please. She spent the quality time with my babes like I would, will definitely be coming to Sorn again for our future pet needs.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life and have fostered kittens with my local shelter. From newborns to adult pets, I’m experienced, patient, and attentive to each animal’s unique needs. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have a 9-5 job and 2 cats at home but I am available on weekends, early mornings and evenings to care for your furry friends. Please don't hesitate to reach out! I will treat your pets - and your home - like they're my own! I am available for drop-in visits and dog walks. I live in the downtown Glendale area.

“Gina was fabulous! We are new in town and it is always a bit nerve-wracking to find someone to check on our boys. Gina was kind, caring, gave great updates daily on how much time she spent with the boys, their moods and activities. I am very thankful that we found Gina, and the boys are thrilled as well!”
“Irina was great with my two Boxers. They were always really excited to see her. She was really easy to work with and would even brush my one pup who sheds like crazy. I would definitely book Irina again.”

“Jessica did not disappoint! The proof is that she earned the trust of our nervous dog. Her upates with photos were reassuring. Will book again with her. We recommend Jessica 100%.”

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was young! I enjoy every chance I get to interact with all types of dogs and treat them as if they were my own. I have a flexible schedule Monday-Saturday, available early mornings to help out with your dogs needs to ensure they get their walks & playtime & care! I spend as much time possible to care for your dog / home if needed, I am always respectful of what owners need and any expectations.
“Per usual, Bella went above and beyond looking after my cat. I never once worried about him while I was on vacation. I received regular photos and detailed updates. Thank you Bella for such wonderful care!!”

“Sarah is absolutely amazing! My cat doesn’t even like people and he loved her off the bat! She sent me pics of my fur baby with every visit. I’ll be using her again for all my kitty sitting needs! Thank you Sarah ❤️??”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Glendale
Rachael is the absolute BEST! I feel so grateful that we found her. I'd call her my cat’s bestie, and honestly I think my cat, Lucy, has grown from having Rachael in her life. We were away for a longer trip this time, and I came home feeling like Lucy hadn’t just been “looked after” — she had been loved, played with, engaged with, and genuinely nurtured. She seems more confident and playful, and I really believe all of that attention and interaction was good for her. Rachael has a wonderful way of connecting with Lucy and bringing out more of her personality. Rachael is also the best at communicating. I loved getting her updates and always knew how Lucy was doing. We even had some unexpected complications with access to our building while we were away, and Rachael was so steady and flexible through all of it. I never once worried about her reliability or about Lucy being in good hands. It is SUCH a gift to travel and know that someone you completely trust is caring for your animal — and even more of a gift to come home feeling like your cat had a wonderful experience too. I can’t recommend Rachael highly enough.

Yana did an excellent job looking after my cat while I was on vacation. She was consistent in her arrival times, prompt in her communication, and took extra time to play with my cat, who seemed to warm up to her very quickly. She also sent adorable photos of my cat eating and playing. The instructions for house key drop off were clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend and will be booking again in future.

Mackenzie is the consummate cat pro (and lover)! Our cats took to her immediately and seemed very happy and relaxed. She’s also a great communicator so we never had to worry about whether things (litter, feeding, photos) were happening properly or on time while we were away. We’re so happy we found her!

Nikki is a thoughtful, communicative, and kind person and cat sitter! After our initial meet-and-greet, we felt very comfortable booking her for a drop-in visit with our cat, Susie. During the meet-and-greet, Nikki took her time getting acquainted with Susie and immediately made us feel at ease. On the day of the visit, Nikki was on time, sent us several great photos, and left an incredibly detailed and reassuring update. She patiently let Susie warm up to her, gave her treats and affection, and even spent time with her outside on our patio, despite getting attacked by mosquitoes in the process! 😂 We especially appreciated how observant she was. She noticed a brief change in Susie’s breathing, gave her some space, made sure it stopped, and let us know about it afterward. That kind of attentiveness means a lot when someone else is caring for your pet. She even put on some jazz for Susie before leaving and set it on a timer so she’d have a little company afterward. We highly recommend her!

Shay is an incredible pet sitter! Our cats love her, and knowing they’re with her gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. She always follows our care instructions carefully, sends detailed updates, and shares the cutest photos that brighten our day. We couldn’t ask for better care for our boys and will absolutely continue booking with her for all of our future trips!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glendale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
