About: I’ve always had pets of my own and have been caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with kittens, adult pets, and senior or medically complex animals, including providing around-the-clock hospice care for my own beloved cat after his ataxia diagnosis. I currently share my home with Leon, my one-year-old cat, and Chicken, my 26+ year-old African Grey parrot—both rescues (Chicken was found abandoned and taken in) and very loved. During the meet-and-greet, Nikki took her time getting acquainted with Susie and immediately made us feel at ease. On the day of the visit, Nikki was on time, sent us several great photos, and left an incredibly detailed and reassuring update. She patiently let Susie warm up to her, gave her treats and affection, and even spent time with her outside on our patio, despite getting attacked by mosquitoes in the process! 😂 We especially appreciated how observant she was. She noticed a brief change in Susie’s breathing, gave her some space, made sure it stopped, and let us know about it afterward. That kind of attentiveness means a lot when someone else is caring for your pet. She even put on some jazz for Susie before leaving and set it on a timer so she’d have a little company afterward. We highly recommend her!
