Hi, my name is Ali. I grew up in the Seattle area before moving to Wisconsin for school and now I am back on the west coast in sunny SoCal. My pet care experience first begins when I was about 10 years old and we got our first dog (and then a second a few years down the road). It was my sister and I's responsibility to bathe, feed, walk, clean up after and take care of our dogs. I was also very active in the training of our dogs, going to classes and learning how to properly handle and work with our dogs (one of which had pretty severe aggression). As a young adult I volunteered for a few years at a local animal shelter feeding, cleaning and the walking the dogs there. I also worked closely with a dog at the shelter who had some behavioral issues that needed to be worked on in order to help him get adopted. Recently, I have been fostering pups with a local rescue and working with them on any issues they may have as well. On top of my experience handling, being around and taking care of dogs, I have several years experience in house/pet-sitting. While living in Seattle I had several people for whom I would stay at their house and take care of their animals (mostly cats at this point), a few of these pets needed extra medical care so I have experience in giving medications as well as in administering IV fluids. I have also done extensive training with my own dog, Scout. I am a calm, confident leader for him, which will absolutely extend to your pooch. I love dogs (and cats) of all shapes and sizes and do have experience handling larger breeds. Any dog that is in my care is treated and cared for as if s/he were my own. You will never have to worry about a lack of love, care or attention while you are away.
