“Rebekah was great! She sent detailed updates, photos and videos while I was away. My cars are usually scared of strangers but they warmed up to her after only one day! Have already booked her again. Highly recommend!”

“Brendon was great with our puppy. The updates had cute pictures and always included a nice note about his visit. He was always on time and was a wonderful with our dog.”

“Yasmin is amazing! I felt so comfortable being away with my dogs in her care. I received great updates with each drop-in. She’s a great communicator and I would not hesitate to hire her!”
“Lee was very nice. He took good care of our cat Bjorn for 4 days every morning. He updated us with images, played with him and cleaned his litter. He met with us prior to our booking at our convenience which was very helpful. We recommend Lee and will I’m sure book him in the future when we have to leave our little monster :)!”

“Eric did an amazing job looking after my 8 month kitten when I was going away for holiday for 2 weeks. I had travel logistics that made handing off the keys a little bit difficult, but Eric was super flexible and responsive which made the whole experience very smooth. He is great with cats and got along with Callie immediately. The home was in great condition when I came back as well. If you are looking for a responsible sitter for your pet, look no further than Eric! He even brought over some toys for her to play with that he let us keep afterwards. 100/100!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both cats and dogs. For the past two years, I’ve been the proud pet parent of my rescue cat, Duckie. Since adopting her, I’ve learned how important patience, routine, and attentive care are, and I’m committed to making sure she stays happy, healthy, and loved every day. I’ve also helped care for my friends’ pets over the years. I regularly walked a friend’s poodle, making sure he got plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. In addition, I’ve house sat for friends with cats, caring for their daily routines by feeding them, refreshing their water, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and giving them lots of affection while their owners were away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. Pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home with a flexible schedule. Since I can work from just about anywhere with my laptop, I’m able to provide attentive care throughout the day while maintaining my work responsibilities. This flexibility also makes weekday house sitting a great option for me. On weekends, I’m available for both full-day and part-time care, giving me even more time to focus on your pet’s needs, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. I understand that every family has a different schedule, so I’m happy to work with you to find a care plan that fits your routine while making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for every step of the way. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My priority is to provide reliable, attentive care while maintaining your pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Before each visit or house sit, I’ll take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, preferences, and any special care instructions. Whether your pet needs medication, a bath, extra exercise, playtime, or simply a calm companion, I’ll follow your care plan closely and make sure their needs are met with patience and care. I’m attentive to the little details that can make a big difference in your pet’s well-being. I’ll keep an eye on their appetite, water intake, energy level, bathroom habits, and overall behavior, and I’ll communicate any changes or concerns right away. I believe consistent updates, photos, and open communication help give pet parents peace of mind, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own—keeping it clean, secure, and following any household instructions you’ve provided. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, healthy pet and the confidence that they received thoughtful, dependable care every step of the way.
“I'm so glad we found Minay!! She is such a gem of a person and has such a lovely warmth about her. My dogs and the rest of my family clicked instantly with her. She goes above and beyond, you can completely trust that your loved ones are in great hands.”

“Jessica was wonderful with Rowan 🤍 Communicative, reliable, and very sweet with him. I felt totally at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Would absolutely book with her again!”

“Karen is very nice and easy to work with. Our dogs quickly warmed up to her, which isn’t always the case with new people around our dogs. She was also great at being understanding that our dogs were dog aggressive, and seemed very capable in handling it. During her visit she had great communication.”

About: Im looking to help raise money for my daughters car and make some extra money as a single mother! I’m very understanding and flexible ! Im a manager a retail store very local to downtown and have early mornings and afternoons evenings and overnights/weekends open at all times! :) ! My home is open and I’m familiar and flexible with different routines I have a dog myself who is super friendly and social and can provide a play pen and toys !
“My father suffered from a heart attack across the country and my initial plan to care for my Savannah fell through less than 20 hrs before I was to take off. I gravitated to Christopher because of his reviews regarding attention. Savannah is a 90lb pitbull but is my child and treated as such so it was very important to find someone attentive. I was so nervous because we have never been away from each other more than 12 hrs. Christopher from the start made what I thought was going to be hrs of searching and scrambling into the smoothest process. We were unable to meet before hand due to the circumstance but I am sooooo happy I choose Christopher. Savannah was well taken care of, I received photos, communication was on point and I came back to a happy girl!! Christopher, I look forward to meeting you face to face in the future. I feel I can definitely go back home more often because I have someone that can be trusted and safe to care for my child. My family and I are so grateful someone was able to take such good care of her while I was away. Again, thank you so much for everything!”

“Ariane is amazing. She took care of our two cats, one who is a finicky eater and the other will eat all of the finicky cats food. She did so much to help our finicky cat to make sure she ate. She keeps us well updated with pictures and a detailed description of her visit. Really helped our anxiety :)”

“I’m a first-time cat mom and was really anxious about leaving my boy, so I booked a test visit with Ellyot before a longer trip. He’s usually nervous and hides from new people, so I was shocked when he actually came up to her, accepted chin scritches, and even purred! Since he has health issues that can flare up from stress, I needed someone experienced who really understood what that meant. After our meet and greet and this drop-in, I can tell Ellyot gets it. She asked thoughtful questions, was calm and attentive, and made me feel like she truly understood all of my concerns. I feel so relieved now knowing my boy will be in great hands with her. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up caring for and taking care of animals—whether that’s dogs, cats, horses, I love the opportunity to meet new fur babies and give them the love and attention they need. I work part time during the week, so I have plenty of time and flexibility Friday through Monday for your pets! I’m completely available anytime I’m not working in the office. I offer care that I would give to my own pets at home—attention, playtime, affection, you name it! I’m equipped to also handle any messes that may arise and more specific feeding and mealtime habits.
About: I take care of your pet like they’re my own! Animals are the most important thing in my life. I'd do anything for my dog, but truthfully, I'd do anything for any dog! I’m caring, considerate, and clean. After about 7 years of professionally dog and cat sitting, I got my own Quarantine Dog. I will take care of your pets with love and mindfulness- following any requests you may have! Walks, runs and playtime. Snuggles, cuddles and comfort. Need medicine administrated? I'm good at that, too! Have issues with reactivity or food guarding? Just an anxious dog overall? Trust me, I'm very familiar. No judgement here! Although I'm not a trainer, I've dealt with these issues with my own dog, as well as others. I know how to handle these needs with care, for the comfort and safety for everyone in involved. Is your baby just a little quirky, maybe? If you need their paws wiped down after every walk, imaginary food sprinkled in their bowl to eat, or needs classical music to fall asleep? I can definitely handle that! I would love to be your best friends caretaker. My schedule is very flexible. I like to dedicate as much time as possible to my pet clients, and typically try to keep one client at a time for maximum attention. I do not provide home boarding, but I am happy to take care of your pup in your own home. I keep a very clean space and respect house rules easily. Taking care of the dog in your home is important so they feel at home.
About: I have had pets in my house for almost all of my life, and in that time, I have learned how to handle many sizes, energy levels, temperaments, and other various demands of care. Ready to play and work on training a new pup, or hang around with a senior dog. I am available all day on weekdays and weekends for walks, play or training sessions, or whatever other special care your furry friend might need. I will treat your pets like my own! That means lots of love and attention, at least once (often times two or more) daily walks, and playtime in the yard with my energetic corgi
“Minh was awesome and I will absolutely be booking her again! Ahead of the house visit she did a meet and greet with Rey and she asked very thoughtful questions. Her thoroughness put my helicopter mom brain at ease. She was prompt, sent pics and was an excellent communicator. Highly recommend!”

About: Experienced pet sitter and animal lover. I have grown up with dogs and have two loving cats now, I understand how hard it can be to make sure they are cared for when you are not available. I can be flexible with my rates depending on your situation. I love taking pictures so expect plenty of updates! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I have a notice of any changes, additions, cancellations, I will likely not have an issue tending to any pets. Since I have cats of my own I do not plan on hosting other pets in my home. I would care for any clients pets by making sure that they are kept on a routine.
About: Hey, I'm Nicky. Growing up as a farm kid, I've cared for all animals, especially various dog breeds big and small my entire life. I work from home and my schedule is open and flexible, so your pet is my number one priority during their 5 star stay at Dog's Best Friend. We've been boarding happy dogs with Rover since 2022 and 10 years before that we boarded, dropped-in and walked doggie clients all around the TMZ. Our spacious backyard allows us to be very active daily and big enough to welcome all our doggie guests, any size, any energy level, I love them all. When we all snuggle up to chill after an active doggie day, your fur babies will have plenty of their own space, their own room when they want it and multiple comfortable sleep options, including their own dog bed or our snuggly couch all night if they like. Nothing brings me more joy than caring for all our loving furry friends. I live for their love and as Timothy Treadwell said, "I will die for these bears." I'm always available to give your fur babies the best care they can get and love them like my own, so fear not, Dog's Best Friend is your baby’s home away from home! You can trust your pet is safe here and always welcomed by our pack! Beware, your pup may not want to leave Dog's Best Friend! "Nickolas was the best Rover I have ever booked!!! I just know my dog was so well taken care of and loved as if she was his own dog. She didn’t even want to leave when I picked her up. Nickolas was constantly playing ball with her, giving her tummy rubs, and taking her running. He sent me so many pictures and videos so I always knew what Poppy was up to. I will absolutely be booking with Nickolas again." -Maya H. I’m a 24/7 caregiver, best friend, provider, poodle whisperer and round-up specialist to our super chill senior Poodle Kai and our young rambunctious Maltipoo Rocco. From this veteran dog lover, your furry besties will absolutely get a healthy abundance of compassionate, unconditional love. It's as simple as that. As a work from home musician and entertainment business owner, my independent schedule gives me the flexibility to care for all of our furry baby boys and girls around the clock. Our spacious fenced backyard is where we get all the pups running around safely with balls toys and treats of course. In the summer heat we'll fill the shallow doggie pool to cool down. Silver Lake Reservoir Park is close by, so the size and energy of your dog will determine the workout we can do. As an active long distance track and cross country runner through college and since, I can match any dog’s activity level. I depend on you to tell me what you’d like your dog to experience during their active luxurious stay. They'll get what they need but I'll never over work them. We have enough room and plenty of toys to play inside or out and plenty of doggie space and couch seating for that ever important doggie rest, which they'll get plenty of too!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Echo Park
Sofia really exceeded our expectations while looking after our two cats. She was punctual when we scheduled our key drop-off and initial greet with the cats, who immediately warmed up to her. She followed all of our care instructions to the letter and we could tell they were well cared for in our absence and relaxed upon our return. Not only that, but there was a heat wave while we were away and our AC unit was malfunctioning at the time, leading to some high temperatures inside. Sofia found creative ways to help mitigate the heat, adding ice cubes to the water dishes and even moving fans around to help air flow through the unit when it cooled off in the evenings. It really helped reassure us during our travels and was undoubtedly appreciated most of all by our cats. We are grateful for her thoughtful assistance and would highly recommend her help to anyone looking for a sitter.

Steph was amazing - I just moved to LA and needed a new sitter to visit my sweet kitty while away on a work trip and I was so happy with all of her support. She was communicative, accountable and great with sharing updates and photos as well. I’ll def be rebooking with Steph!

Let me start by saying that if you’re looking for a kind, empathetic, calm, patient, and compassionate caregiver for your pet, Eric is your guy. He was exactly what my cat and I needed today. I have a very skittish and scared foster cat who I needed help with and truth be told, I wasn’t sure how Eric would be with her. She’s sick and needed to go to the vet but is hard to handle getting into a carrier. Eric arrived on time, with a lot of calm and soothing energy and approached my cat with the utmost love and concern. And she did not make things easy; she put up quite a fight but Eric was never mean, was never impatient, and exudeded kindness and gentleness the whole time. Moving forward, I will enlist Eric’s help EACH AND EVERY TIME FOR ALL MY PETS.
I’ve been working with Jenny for a long while. I feel completely confident leaving my cats in her care. She’s prompt, super communicative and leaves robust updates of the cats each day along with a lot of pics! It makes our time out of town all the more enjoyable knowing the cats are in such good hands. ❤️❤️❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
