“Taryn does an amazing job with Kobe. He’s always excited to go and is worn out when he gets home, so I know he’s had a blast. They go out multiple times a day and she maintains constant contact so that I’m informed.”

“We have been very satisfied with the daycare experience our dog Lobo has had. He comes back to us calm and contented. Zac has shown a lot of flexibility and a relaxed attitude in our dealings with him. We’re happy to leave Lobo in a good, caring environment.”

“Best experience! We were very hesitant to leave our dog with anyone as we have never boarded him before. Although we used Rover once in a different city, with satisfactory results. Upon immediately meeting Jae Woun, we knew we made the right choice. She was so warm and friendly, immediately taking a liking to our dog, Sam. Jae Woun also sent us pictures of her apartment and outdoor space, which helped put us at ease. She sent pictures and videos daily, with updates on how Sam was doing, from his eating habits to his daily walks. Being new to LA, couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Thank you Jae Woun! Sam says Hi!”

“Abhi is exceptional! We could not have asked for a better experience. He accommodated a last minute doggy daycare request while we attended a concert at Dodger Stadium. We were from out of town and did not want to leave our senior dog alone for so many hours. Abhi did not hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure our pup was comfortable, felt safe, and loved. She even cuddled up on the couch with him to settle in for the evening. Our event went later than expected due to parking lot delays after the concert, and Abhi was patient, kind, and reassuring throughout the entire process. We highly recommend him and will seek him out again when we are back in the LA area.”

About: I’m in the neighborhood, work from home and have a great yard and home for your doggo to hang out in. And they will have company with my 8 year old medium mutt, Los. I work for myself at home. So my schedule is flexible and gives me time to interact and hang out with your pooch and mine. My property is 7300sqft and fully fenced. I have a front yard and middle yard with an ADU. And if that feels like too much space then the can put the fence up in the middle. Our dog loves to lay in the driveway or on the porch. Lots of various vantage points.
About: I have lived with dogs since I was 4. I have been around many animals all my life! I have helped to train both of my current dogs and love taking them to the dog park. While still living at home, I helped teach both of them to walk on a leash and took them for walks whenever I was at my parents' house. Over the years, neighbors have relied on me to take care of their animals while they are out of town. Now I am in a new city and do not live full time at home so I hardly get to see my pups. I love interacting with pets and firmly believe they can make anyone's day. I work remotely part of the week, so as long as I have wifi and a laptop, I can work from anywhere! I love breaking up my day with walks and would be happy to take a pup with me. During the weekends, unless I am traveling, I am never gone for too long and could be present for an animal. I am happy to take on whatever schedule is needed for the animal! I understand how to read an animal's behavior and body language to approach any situation carefully. I am also respectful of the fact that I am entering an animal and the owner's space and schedule so I will follow instructions carefully. I love to lounge and cuddle with the animals given the chance.
“Excellent Dog Sitter I highly recommend her as a dog sitter! Seungyeon was wonderful with my dog, very caring, responsible, and trustworthy. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. She kept me updated and treated my dog like her own. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and reliable dog sitter! 🐶❤️”

About: I raised my 2 mini schnauzers from puppyhood through their twilight years and loved every second of it. We made many other dog friends along the way, including the occasional sleepover. I work remotely from home, so it’s easy for me to adapt to whatever schedule your dog is used to! I travel for 2-3 weeks in the year around (but typically not during) holidays. My apartment complex is gated with great walking areas for the community’s many pets. A public park is just next door with hiking trails for higher energy pups. I also have extra beds, crates, leashes, bowls, and toys if you forget yours or prefer not to haul them around.
“Hudson loves spending time with Weiting and she takes excellent care of our pup. The best thing ever is getting a photo of our pup being so comfortable with her that he’s just napping and enjoying the day. I recommend Weiting!”

About: Hey! I grew up with dogs in my household, so I’ve had a lot of training and experience with taking care of them. I regularly go for a walk, run or hike with the dogs I watch around Echo Park lake or Elysian park, which is in close proximity to my apartment if they are up for it! I have a decent size apartment for them to explore, but am very careful not to leave items out that could cause any harm. I love cuddling up with pups and look forward to meeting you both! I generally work from home as a freelance creative, and am around most weekends, giving me ample time to play with and walk your pup. I have a decent sized apartment and little patio space where dogs can co-habitat and roam freely. I can crate if necessary as well. I clean regularly and am careful not to leave out items or food that may be chewed on or swallowed.
“This is the second time we use her for our dog she is very friendly and always available to help take care of Leo for us to go watch the dodgers game. I recommend her !”

“Sylvia and Ethan were wonderful! I was anxious to take my 5-month-old pup to his first daycare, but Sylvia put me right at ease. They accepted my last-minute booking and sent photo and video updates throughout the day. Highly recommend!”

“Rory loved staying at Eric’s place! He came back a very tired happy dog. We got tons of photos and he was in great care the whole time! We’ll definitely use Eric again next time we’re in town”

“This was our first time using Rover and we couldn’t have asked for a better interaction and experience than the one Jade provided. From the last minute request, to the constant communication and updates, Jade delivered a stellar service; which helped me to feel at ease. Definitely recommend Jade! Will definitely book her services again.”

About: Hey there! We're Tom and Sharanya. We're dog lovers and lifelong caretakers of our families' pets. Our adorable dog Zoe is Chihuahua/Spaniel rescue with anxiety. We understand the unique challenges that come with anxiety-prone dogs, and Zoe has taught us valuable lessons in patience, empathy, and creating a calm and soothing environment. If you have a dog with a similar temperament, we'll be sure to accommodate them. Both of us work from home, though one of us may occasionally go into the office. Even so, there will always be someone at home to look after your dog. We ensure daily walks and engaging activities to keep dogs happy and active - just let us know your dog’s walking schedule and we will stick to it as best we can! We can also administer oral medicine as our own dog needs to take a daily pill. In our care, every dog is treated as a cherished member of our family. We take the time to understand their unique personalities, preferences, and quirks, ensuring a personalized and loving experience. We will always go the extra mile to make sure your fur baby is getting the affection and care that they need.
“I needed a last minute pet sitter for my new puppy. I hadn’t left him alone before so I was quite nervous, but Sabrina eased any worries I might have by updating me regularly and sending me the absolute cutest videos of my baby boy playing and getting cared for. She even made sure his bed was clean since he had a little potty accident. Waylon came back home happy and worn out! I never thought my boy would be relaxed. I recommend Sabrina for detailed care for your furry babies ❤️ thank you and will be back again”

“Hailee proved to be a fabulous daycare provider for my very timid senior dog. She kept me up-to-date by texting me photos, showing me how relaxed and unstressed Chewy was -- letting me be unstressed and relaxed myself. What a difference between Hailee's care and that of a traditional kennel. I'd heartily give Hailee 10 stars if I could and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend her to others. Thank you Hailee!”

“Irena was very quick to respond to my check ups throughout the day when she had Oslo. She made me feel at ease informing me how he was doing while he was with her. I’d definitely book her again.”

“Grace was very kind and welcoming to me and my senior dog upon arrival. She communicated well and accommodated my last minute requests. My dog was perfectly fine and in good spirits when I picked her up.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! Sang was caring, responsible, and treated our dog like her own. We felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in such good hands. Sang kept us updated, were very attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our dog was happy and comfortable. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and reliable dog sitter. 🐶❤️

Jae Woun was very detailed and update us with our dog Mia very often during her doggy day care. She was very gentle with our fur baby. Our dog does not warm up to strangers quickly but with Jae Woun, she gained her trust within a short period of time and even allowed her to give her belly rubs. Before our appointment, Jae Woun was very transparent with her schedule as she might have meetings and was able to be flexible to work with us. We would definitely book her again for future petsit.

Wow! I don’t know what magic Weiting uses, but my pup is extremely well behaved around her, even when I pick him up. Weiting goes over and beyond to take care of my pup. She is extremely communicative! My Dakota really loves Weiting, and her pups too! I highly recommend!

Eric was awesome to work with, was flexible with our drop off and pick up time. Eric’s kindness made it easy to leave OSA with him. He Updated us with photos and OSA enjoyed the company of the other dogs. She seemed to have a great time overall 10 out of 10. We will use Eric again if we are in the area. Thanks man!

Ian is the most gracious host ever! He was so accommodating and kind. Last minute booking and We had to change the pick up time but Ian made the whole process so smooth. My dog has the best time with Ian and I was grateful to see my pup getting all excited to see him again. Thank you Ian for going above and beyond to give my dog the best day. Looking forward to booking with him again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Echo Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
