“Pamela was a great host and dog sitter. Both my senior girls loved her and her dog Los! They have plenty of space to be dogs and she gave my girls walks and treats! I will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

“Abhi was very communicative and flexible! It was a short dog-sit but he has a warm energy and provided lots of photos where Georgia was having a nice time :) would def book again”

“Jordan was super helpful in watching my dog, Pip, on short notice. Excellent communication and Pip warmed right up, so I felt totally confident leaving him in her care. Thank you again!”

About: I had an English Cocker Spaniel growing up, as well as a Miniature Schnauzer that lives back in Russia with my parents, who is now 17 years old! :) I lived with a Shiba Inu for the first few months of his life and know their personality really well. I always happily take care of my friends’ dogs when they’re away. I have extensive experience with Spaniels, Miniature Schnauzers, Cavapoos, Shiba Inu, Dalmatians and others, as you may see in the photos. I work from home, 8-4 PST, Monday to Friday, and happy to keep a dog company while at it - he’ll do the same for me! I live in an apartment, no yard, I’d never leave the dog out of sight. While on a walk, the dog would always be on a leash.
“Taryn was so great! She helped me out with a last minute daycare request and she took great care of my sweet pup. They had a cozy chill day which is exactly my dog’s speed and made her feel right at home while I was away :) thank you!”

About: I raised my 2 mini schnauzers from puppyhood through their twilight years and loved every second of it. We made many other dog friends along the way, including the occasional sleepover. I work remotely from home, so it’s easy for me to adapt to whatever schedule your dog is used to! I travel for 2-3 weeks in the year around (but typically not during) holidays. My apartment complex is gated with great walking areas for the community’s many pets. A public park is just next door with hiking trails for higher energy pups. I also have extra beds, crates, leashes, bowls, and toys if you forget yours or prefer not to haul them around.

About: Hi! I’m a work-from-home dog lover with a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pup lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles. I love getting outside for walks, park adventures, and hikes, but I’m also a big fan of cozy days at home with plenty of belly rubs and comfy spots for pups to relax. I have a fenced yard and a safe, welcoming home where dogs can feel comfortable and right at home. I’m reliable, gentle, and happy to follow your pup’s normal routine, whether that means morning walks, specific feeding times, playtime, or extra snuggles. My goal is to make their time with me feel as stress-free and enjoyable as possible while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and little check-ins, so you can see how much fun your pup is having! I’ve also been around dogs my entire life—my mom used to foster animals, so I grew up caring for and spending time with multiple dogs at once. I’d love to welcome your furry family member into my home and give them the same love and care I’d want for my own. Hi! I can easily crate your dog if needed, but I’ll usually follow their normal routine. There are lots of dogs in the neighborhood which is very safe and I love getting out on a hike at least once a week.

About: I’m a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker with experience caring for both dogs and cats. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet—I care for my own family dog, so I’m familiar with routines, exercise needs, and giving lots of attention and love. I’ve worked with pets of different ages and personalities! Whether it’s walks, playtime, or companionship, I treat every pet like my own. I currently work remotely with a flexible job, so it’s easy for me to pick up walks or check in on pets during the day. It’s something I enjoying making time for. I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions like feeding schedules, walk times, medications (if needed), and any specific preferences. In a client’s home, I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment while keeping the space clean and secure. If I’m caring for a pet in my home, I make sure they are getting lots of attention and supervision.
“Our pup had a great time at day care with Sylvia, Ethan, and the Woof pack! He is still young and hasn't spent much time in big groups of dogs, so he was a little nervous and reticent when he first arrived, and Sylvia and Ethan were so sweet in helping him make friends and get comfortable, and sent adorable videos and photos of the day keeping us posted on all our puppy's new friendships. We can't wait to go back - thank you!”

“Geemo had a good day with Zac. He came home nice and tried from having a full day. I will definitely repeat. If Geemo could express, he would say he had a great time.”

“I needed a last minute pet sitter for my new puppy. I hadn’t left him alone before so I was quite nervous, but Sabrina eased any worries I might have by updating me regularly and sending me the absolute cutest videos of my baby boy playing and getting cared for. She even made sure his bed was clean since he had a little potty accident. Waylon came back home happy and worn out! I never thought my boy would be relaxed. I recommend Sabrina for detailed care for your furry babies ❤️ thank you and will be back again”

About: I am a city girl who cannot live a full life without pups around. I have a 5lb toy poodle named Fontaine. She is 9 and the highlight of my days. She’s sweet and gets along just fine with other pups, she spent most her life in a house with 5 other dogs of all sizes. My dog before her was a cocker spaniel that was my first baby, Rizzo. I grew up with cocker spaniel's and adore those long hair cuties! I have a big personality and become besties with all the dogs I watch and spoil them as much as you can in a healthy way! Since I work from home I am here just about 24/7 especially since I love my home and my pup. I can take your pup out as much as needed, I love to walk my neighborhood. I am fully comfortable with any particular special care whether that is carrying them down stairs, medications, needy or anything else out there. Finding someone you are comfortable with to watch your baby is a difficult, super stressful time (at-least for me). So ask away so you can see I am a good fit with that precious little fur ball! My schedule is very open, the only big moves are when I go out of town otherwise I am a homebody and can adjust my schedule majority if not all the time if something does come up. I take my pup out every couple hours and 2 longer walks a day. I am in an apartment but good size and large comfy bed/couches. Plus 3 dog beds through out the house!
“Carolina was super easy to communicate with and responded quickly. She made the drop off and pick up a breeze. My dog had a great time and she sent regular photos. Thank you, Carolina!”

About: I grew up with cats and have always loved animals, but dogs have my heart these days — I have a 4-year-old dog of my own. Due to a recent life change, I only have him with me a couple of weeks a month, and I miss having a dog around way more than I expected. That’s what brought me to Rover — I want to fill that gap by giving another pup the love and attention I’d normally be giving mine. I have hands-on experience with puppies as well as small to mid-size dogs. I live in a multi-family home in Silver Lake with a fenced yard, in a walkable neighborhood that’s great for daily walks and sniff breaks. I also have the flexibility to work from home, so when I have a dog in my care, I’ll be around at home. I’m flexible most days of the week. Since I have the option to work from home, I’m able to be with your dog all day. I live in a multi-family home with a fenced yard in a walkable Silver Lake neighborhood — great for daily walks and outdoor time. Before any dog comes to stay, I make sure to dog-proof the space, putting away anything they might be able to reach or get into, so it’s a safe environment from the moment they arrive.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for over 15 years and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet day full of cuddles, I adjust my care to make them feel comfortable and secure. I believe pets deserve patience, kindness, and lots of affection, and I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy peace of mind while your dog enjoys a safe, loving home where they’ll be excited to return. Pet care is my full-time focus, so I’m home seven days a week and able to provide plenty of love, attention, and supervision. I make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and like part of the family. My dog, Milo, is my friendly little assistant and loves welcoming new furry friends. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I provide constant supervision, a clean and pet-friendly home, frequent potty breaks, daily walks, and lots of one-on-one attention. My building has a secure dog run, beautiful walking paths, and a nearby park for extra exercise and enrichment. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay so you always know how they’re doing.
“I was in a bit of a bind and had to find someone to watch my pup for the following day. Eric agreed to watch Charlie for the day, and I would 100% recommend Eric to anyone. I got frequent (very cute) pictures and updates throughout the day. There is a fenced in yard that my pup loved to hangout in. I will definitely be bringing Charlie back with Eric whenever I need a sitter.”

“Irena was very quick to respond to my check ups throughout the day when she had Oslo. She made me feel at ease informing me how he was doing while he was with her. I’d definitely book her again.”

“I’ve booked with Yuhan multiple times and I trust her with my life! I get anxious dropping off my pup with strangers, but there are some days when it’s very necessary. She takes many photos, updates throughout the day, and clarifies what Mobi needs even if she’s already taken care of him before. She’s truly the best :)”

“Victoria was great with taz and took amazing care of her. She was easy to coordinate with and flexible around my constantly changing schedule which was really nice and considerate. I would definitely recommend her!”

Abhi was wonderful with our dog! Our pup can be pretty anxious, and Abhi was very understanding and attentive to his needs. We felt reassured knowing he was being well taken care of, and Abhi sent us lots of updates throughout his stay, which we really appreciated. He was also incredibly kind, flexible, and easy to communicate with. We would definitely trust Abhi to watch our dog again!

Guilia did an awesome job watching my 1.5 yr old puppy. Mabel has separation anxiety, but she immediately seemed comfortable, calm, and happy with her. Guilia was responsive and flexible coordinating pick up and drop off, took Mabel on fun walks, and sent photo and video updates. I definitely recommend and will rely on her for dog sitting again!

This was my first time using Rover and also my foster dog Flash was a rescue dog that I saved from euthanasia by fostering him, but Jade was able to accommodate him and have him comfortable around her and other dogs. Jade sends me just enough updates and as time progressed I knew my dog was in good hands and knew he was doing well and well taken care of as long as he was with Jade. Jade is awesome at communicating while taking care of my dog letting me have peace of mind while I’m at work/away. I’m so lucky to have found Jade here and look forward to working with her in the future as well with Flash and another other dogs I help foster. A true lifesaver and very sweet and kind!!!!

Excellent Dog Sitter I highly recommend her as a dog sitter! Seungyeon was wonderful with my dog, very caring, responsible, and trustworthy. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. She kept me updated and treated my dog like her own. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and reliable dog sitter! 🐶❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! Sang was caring, responsible, and treated our dog like her own. We felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in such good hands. Sang kept us updated, were very attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our dog was happy and comfortable. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and reliable dog sitter. 🐶❤️

Jae Woun was very detailed and update us with our dog Mia very often during her doggy day care. She was very gentle with our fur baby. Our dog does not warm up to strangers quickly but with Jae Woun, she gained her trust within a short period of time and even allowed her to give her belly rubs. Before our appointment, Jae Woun was very transparent with her schedule as she might have meetings and was able to be flexible to work with us. We would definitely book her again for future petsit.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
