About: Experienced pet sitter and animal lover. I have grown up with dogs and have two loving cats now, I understand how hard it can be to make sure they are cared for when you are not available. I can be flexible with my rates depending on your situation. I love taking pictures so expect plenty of updates! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I have a notice of any changes, additions, cancellations, I will likely not have an issue tending to any pets. Since I have cats of my own I do not plan on hosting other pets in my home. I would care for any clients pets by making sure that they are kept on a routine.

About: Hey, I'm Nicky. Growing up as a farm kid, I've cared for all animals, especially various dog breeds big and small my entire life. Wife and I, live in Silver Lake as the proud pup parents of 2 adorable poodles. I work from home and my schedule is open and flexible, so your pet is my number one priority during their 5 star stay at Dog's Best Friend. We've been boarding happy dogs with Rover since 2022 and 10 years before that we boarded, dropped-in and walked doggie clients all around the TMZ. Available 24/7, for essential meet and greets with your doggie. Available 24/7, for doggie drop-offs and pick-ups. Our spacious backyard allows us to be very active daily and big enough to welcome all our doggie guests, any size, any energy level, I love them all. When we all snuggle up to chill after an active doggie day, your fur babies will have plenty of their own space, their own room when they want it and multiple comfortable sleep options, including their own dog bed or our snuggly couch all night if they like. Nothing brings me more joy than caring for all our loving furry friends. I live for their love and as Timothy Treadwell said, "I will die for these bears." In my care, they get everything they need, nothing they can't have and all the love they can handle with my undivided attention day and night. I'm always available to give your fur babies the best care they can get and love them like my own, so fear not, Dog's Best Friend is your baby’s home away from home! I am usually booked with loyal distinguished clients daily, so when your dog books a stay with us, they will be kept totally separate from the pack until they've all calmed down enough to meet. That way we can be absolutely sure there will be no issues between them. Even as they meet and greet, they will be separated by our tall interior doggie gate and introduced slowly and methodically. We've never had an issue with pet aggression between our doggies and clients and this process ensures stranger dogs become friends because we always set them up to win! You can trust your pet is safe here and always welcomed by our pack! Beware, your pup may not want to leave Dog's Best Friend! "Nickolas was the best Rover I have ever booked!!! I just know my dog was so well taken care of and loved as if she was his own dog. She didn’t even want to leave when I picked her up. Nickolas was constantly playing ball with her, giving her tummy rubs, and taking her running. He sent me so many pictures and videos so I always knew what Poppy was up to. I will absolutely be booking with Nickolas again." -Maya H. I’m a 24/7 caregiver, best friend, provider, poodle whisperer and round-up specialist to our super chill senior Poodle Kai and our young rambunctious Maltipoo Rocco. From this veteran dog lover, your furry besties will absolutely get a healthy abundance of compassionate, unconditional love. It's as simple as that. As a work from home musician and entertainment business owner, my independent schedule gives me the flexibility to care for all of our furry baby boys and girls around the clock. Our spacious fenced backyard is where we get all the pups running around safely with balls toys and treats of course. In the summer heat we'll fill the shallow doggie pool to cool down. Silver Lake Reservoir Park is close by, so the size and energy of your dog will determine the workout we can do. As an active long distance track and cross country runner through college and since, I can match any dog’s activity level. I depend on you to tell me what you’d like your dog to experience during their active luxurious stay. They'll get what they need but I'll never over work them. We have enough room and plenty of toys to play inside or out and plenty of doggie space and couch seating for that ever important doggie rest, which they'll get plenty of too!

About: I currently have a a senior dog who is a resilient cancer survivor and a very sweet tripod boy. Our second dog is a rescue from South Korea who taught me a lot about training a puppy and has great energy. I will begin graduate school full time in the fall and I am looking for part time pet care to fit into my schedule when I will not be in class. I will care for pets in a client's home by respecting their property, adhering to any health or safety concerns for the animal, and making sure they are loved as if they were my own pet.

Karen is very nice and easy to work with. Our dogs quickly warmed up to her, which isn’t always the case with new people around our dogs. She was also great at being understanding that our dogs were dog aggressive, and seemed very capable in handling it. During her visit she had great communication.

About: Hi, I’m Nico! I’m a grad student at UCLA’s film school, and I’ve been in L.A. for about 5 years. Aside from caring for personal pets, I’ve been a consistent and reliable dogsitting resource for many friends (here in L.A. and back in Texas). Graduate school allows me plenty of time to care for and attend to all the adorable dogs in my social circle! - I get along with all personalities. So whether your dog is high energy and constantly in the mood to play, or whether your dog likes to be a couch potato and kick back, I can easily match their vibe. - My girlfriend and I fostered a “classic canine” (9 y/o +) so I’m experienced with administering medications and keeping strict routines. FUN FACT: I recently had to bathe and blow dry a dog that was skunked at night. The dog’s owners later said neither the house nor the dog’s coat smelled like skunk. 🤯 - I’m committed to making sure you feel confident in your choice of dog sitter/walker, and I know you’ll be happy with my services. :) I’m currently a grad student in the midst of writing my dissertation. This means I make my own schedule with very few strict time commitments during the week. A normal day for me consists of writing in the morning, a long walk in the afternoon, and reading/editing in the evening. All this to say, I really enjoy having a little buddy 🐶 by my side throughout the day. I am deeply cognizant of any potential hazards for your pet; I like to discuss any specific hazards or concerns you have while your dog is with me. That could be anything from being mindful of open doors, to a strict diet, to keeping pets from teething at their stitches from a recent surgery.

About: As an owner of a big, powerful dog I know it can be difficult finding a walker who can handle their size and avoid unsafe situations. So if you have a large breed friend who requires a strong leader, I’d love to take them for a walk, safely! Freelance film maker with a lot of free time. I’m available during the week and on weekends. I have a dog but would walk your dog(s) separately. I have a large friendly dog named Rudi. I can board your dog as long as they can meet beforehand to make sure they get along. I have a large fenced in back yard as well as a good size, private porch area. We live in echo park with plenty of dog friendly areas and parks.

Dyani had an instantaneous rapport with my two kitties when she first met them! I really appreciated her daily check-in reports detailing everything she did and she sent me the best photos of my babies having treats! I couldn’t ask for a better caregiver and I would highly recommend Dyani to anyone looking for a kind, considerate and trustworthy person to care for their pets.

Eric did an amazing job looking after my 8 month kitten when I was going away for holiday for 2 weeks. I had travel logistics that made handing off the keys a little bit difficult, but Eric was super flexible and responsive which made the whole experience very smooth. He is great with cats and got along with Callie immediately. The home was in great condition when I came back as well. If you are looking for a responsible sitter for your pet, look no further than Eric! He even brought over some toys for her to play with that he let us keep afterwards. 100/100!

Hannah is an amazing person who treated my sassy senior cat with all the love, snacks, and attention I would've given myself! The daily check ins with pictures proved the extreme trust she built with Puma in a short period of time, she even let Hannah pet her stomach (which we all know is the ultimate cat compliment). Hannah is consistent, professional, and kind all the things that gave me confidence that my fur baby was well cared for in my absence. 10/10 recommend!

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Echo Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Echo Park on Rover is $26.64 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 20,388 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Echo Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Echo Park stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Echo Park. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
