About: I love dogs and take taking care of them very seriously. I love playing with them, walking them, and feeding them. I've taken care of my own dog for three years as well as my friends dog whenever he is away and it's been a blast so far! My philosophy on dog rearing is boundaries, love, and plenty of physical and mental excercise. I am available to dog walk during the mornings and daytime and am available to dog sit overnight weekdays and weekends at my place or yours. My home is medium sized but there is plenty of yard space for your pup to run around. I think your dogs will have a great time with me and you can rest assure that they will be well cared for and loves.
“This was a meet and greet session so that we could get to know Carly up close. She's a gentle person who has a kindness towards animals. We look forward to booking her in the future to see what she can offer to our two dogs.”

About: ***UPDATE! Opening my profile up to new clients again after about a year, as I have some openings! Feel free to reach out with inquiries!*** I have had dogs my entire life, and what can I say — I just love them. I have cared for dogs for 20 years, and even spent a few years training dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC). I rescued my own pup nearly 10 years ago, and rescued my cat ~5 years ago now-- and have since been equally obsessed with felines. They’re incredibly different animals, with their own way of looking at the world, both of which I respect. Over the years, I have walked and cared for many family's, friends’ and colleagues' dogs and cats of all ages, before opening my network to my neighborhood. ***Key Notes: - Currently, I am open for dog walking and dog/cat drop-ins. Please see all service options (including add-ons) in my profile and feel free to reach out with questions! - For 60-minute walks, depending on location, weather and your comfort level, I can take your pup(s) for a hike or trail-run nearby! - I have a range of experience, from energetic and exercise-craving dogs to elderly pups who require gentle care and a patient, slower speed. I love providing care for either side of the spectrum, and all in between. The bottom line is: the safety of your dog/dogs is my top priority. I know how it is. I’ve used Rover and other services for my dog and cat, and I understand how it feels to entrust another person with your fur-kiddo. I am patient and will give you whatever you need to feel comfortable with me as a caregiver — from answering questions, to a meet-and-greet (in person or on zoom), to picture updates all along the way. Every dog and cat is different, and I want to know what makes your beloved pet unique so I can provide him/her with the best care. I’m a good communicator — from medications to leash/sidewalk politics to triggers and everything in between, you can rest assured we will be on the same page. I have experience caring for all shapes and sizes: - Chihuahuas and Terriers (my dog Jack is a mix!) - Bernese Mountain Dogs - Border Collie Mixes - Shepherds - Staffy’s - Golden Retrievers - Shelties - Samoyeds - King Charles - Schnauzers - Norwegian Forest Cats - Tabbies I am happy to take on puppies/kittens and can integrate any training you might be working on with your fur-kiddo. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate most walks and drop-ins depending on your needs. Just shoot me a request and I’ll get back to you right away. I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I expect at my own. I also take privacy very seriously. I am always happy to do meet-and-greets at a public park (or similar) before services. Again, I get it — you're trusting someone new in your home and with your animals. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible!
“Courtney is outstanding! She always goes above and beyond for our fur family!! She even saved us from a potential robber! She takes great care of her clients and ensures safety and amazing care of both pets and their owners!! Thank you Courtney you are a life saver!”

“This is our second time booking Sahirah! She responds to us fast and is super responsible. We will continue to book with her in the future and recommend her to others as well!”

“Gabriella provided great care for my two cats during her drop-in visit. As a first-time Rover user, I was initially anxious, but she quickly alleviated my concerns with her professionalism and warmth! She was fantastic with my cats, keeping me updated with regular communication and sending me plenty of photos during her visit. Even my shy and cautious cat warmed up to her very quickly. I will certainly be reaching out to her again for future cat-sitting needs! Highly recommend Gabriella for her top-notch service and genuine care for pets :)”
“Amanda was awesome! She dropped in to check on my cat and took great care of everything. She sent pics, gave me quick updates, and my cat looked super happy and relaxed with her. I felt totally at ease while I was away. Definitely booking her again. Highly recommend!”

“Lindsey is the absolute best!!! I truly cannot say enough positive things. She gave my dogs so much love and attention, and provided both me and my partner separate, thorough text updates since we were away in different places. She also sent tons of adorable photos that really captured the dogs’ personalities and made me feel like she really got to know them. This was my first time using a Rover sitter in many years, as I’ve always had friends or family available to watch my dogs, but I just moved to LA and don’t have a reliable network of personal dog sitters, so I was really nervous about having a stranger take care of my boys while I was away, but Lindsey instantly made me feel at ease and like I’d known her forever. I would 100% trust her to watch my dogs again, and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will provide the same level of care to their pets that they would provide themselves.”

“Yasmin is amazing! I felt so comfortable being away with my dogs in her care. I received great updates with each drop-in. She’s a great communicator and I would not hesitate to hire her!”
“Our cat Nyx is usually shy around other people but absolutely loves Sylvia, I can't believe the pictures we're getting of her in Sylvia's lap loving life. We can hear the purring through the photos. I highly recommend Sylvia for pet sitting!”

“Fantastic sitter for our Maine coon cat. Very attentive to all details, experienced in animal care and so very flexible. Everything you’d want in a pet sitter! Thank you so much Hayley!”

“Lee was very nice. He took good care of our cat Bjorn for 4 days every morning. He updated us with images, played with him and cleaned his litter. He met with us prior to our booking at our convenience which was very helpful. We recommend Lee and will I’m sure book him in the future when we have to leave our little monster :)!”

Iztali was great! I was visiting from out of town with my dog so they weren’t even able to meet face to face before their first interaction, we had just FaceTimed, it all worked out so well. I was able to take my kids to Disney for two long days with no worries about our dog being taken care of. Iztali stopped in for multiple visits, was communicative and I came home to a happy dog. Will book again if I travel with my dog in the area again for sure!

Gissell is a true gem! She is hard working, reliable, flexible, and a good communicator. Gissell has been caring for my 3 large-sized dogs for a while through easy times and hard times (e.g., when my senior dog was seriously ill, when I foolishly fostered 8 puppies). I couldn’t have asked for a more trustworthy, compassionate person to look after my family. Hire Gissell, and you won’t regret it!

So happy we could rely on Jessica to take care of our two kitties while we were traveling. She sent us lots of adorable photos and gave them the pets and love they needed. She went above and beyond and brought in packages and was always great at communicating with us.

Querube is absolutely amazing and incredibly trustworthy. She takes such great care of my little Polo (my Pomeranian), and I always feel at ease knowing he’s in good hands. She’s very communicative, keeps me updated, and is always flexible when we need her services. I truly couldn’t ask for a better sitter, highly recommend her!

Xiuwen was absolutely wonderful with my cat! She went above and beyond, not only making sure all the basics were taken care of, but also paying close attention to small details like cleaning the food area, refreshing the water frequently, and keeping everything spotless and sending regular and detailed updates. My cat usually takes a few days to warm up to new people, but clearly felt comfortable and cared for from day one. I could tell my cat was in the best hands. I can’t recommend Xiuwen highly enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
