“Aksana did a great job looking after my kitties! she was very communicative and followed the directions I gave to a tee! I definitely will be rebooking in the future any time I need a sitter.”

“Per usual, Bella went above and beyond looking after my cat. I never once worried about him while I was on vacation. I received regular photos and detailed updates. Thank you Bella for such wonderful care!!”

“Magdalena is wonderful. She took the time to come meet the dogs first and get to know them. When she came to take care of them she sent photos and updates which was really appreciated. I will definitely hire Magdalena again.”

“This is my third time using Sorn as my cat sitter. She is wonderful and reliable. It makes such a difference to leave home and not have to worry about your furry family members. Thank you, Sorn!”

“Alicia was so great and communicative. She sent so many cute pics and videos. She took the best care of my cat Starfish for almost 2 weeks. I felt very safe leaving my cat in her care. She took the time to give her sweet cuddles in addition to feeding her daily. She even was able to check there were no leaks during the rainstorm, which was so nice of her. Highly recommend! Would definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life! Since my very first Boxer, Roxy, I’ve been completely in love with the companionship of dogs. In fact, I raised my own dog, Rambo, from a puppy, and he still lives with me today! As a fellow dog owner, I know firsthand how challenging it can sometimes be to juggle everything that comes with having a pet. Let me help ease those worries and be there for you when you need a hand! I absolutely love everything about animals and can’t wait to meet your pup soon! I live super close to the beach and several great dog parks. I’m very attentive to each owner’s preferences for how and where their dog should be walked, and I’ll always check in to make sure your pup gets the care that suits them best. Since I’m a long-distance runner, I’m more than happy (and able!) to give your dog as much exercise as they need! I'm super flexible and easygoing, but I do have to be strict about overnight dog-sitting cancellations to keep things fair for everyone. That said, if we set up a plan to walk your pup, you can count on me, I’d never miss it! 😊 Your pet's happiness means so much to me! I won’t be able to provide house-sitting services, but I do have a park very close to my home where I can take your dog for walks and, with your permission, even enjoy some playtime in the dog park! Rest assured, I’ll be the only one caring for your dog, so you can feel completely at ease!
“110% thrilled with my experience with Megan! She dropped in for house visits to feed and clean the litter box for my cat, Simon, and she was very communicative all along the way. I never got to meet her before trusting her to care for my cat, but I felt so comfortable with her based on our messaging conversations that I trusted her without a face-to-face meeting. Very happy with my Rover experience and my Megan experience! Thank you again, Megan!”

“Rachael was wonderful with our dog. She made sure she was eating and getting exercise. The communication between me and her was outstanding, she provided a full report of her visits. Also she took unbelievable pictures of my puppy further proving how much my dog enjoyed her time with her! If you're looking for someone to care for your pet, she should be your first choice!”

“Irina was great with my two Boxers. They were always really excited to see her. She was really easy to work with and would even brush my one pup who sheds like crazy. I would definitely book Irina again.”

About: I’ve always shared my home with dogs, whether living with roommates and family who had pets or stepping in to pet-sit for friends. Even without having a dog of my own, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the unique bond they share with us 'two-legged animals.' I love their capacity for unconditional trust and pure affection—they really are the best companions. Whether I’m matching their high energy or enjoying a quiet moment of calm, I find so much joy in their presence Currently I am on sabbatical from my job and have time to spend with pets. I like taking dogs out for walks at the park, or just around the neighborhood. Unless some other life responsibility comes up, I am open to spend as much time as I would like with the fuzzy butts! I live in a small 8 unit apartment building in a very walkable neighborhood. I live very close to Griffith park and love to visit there with dogs. My apartment is a 2/2 and there are no limits to if a pet is on the furniture with me. I love to snuggle if they like to.
About: I’ve been passionate about animal care since I was young, even volunteering at a vets office in middle school. I love long walks and am a freelance artist so I have lots of free time to spend with and care for your fuzzy family member! I’m currently in between jobs so I have all day to dedicate attention to your pet! I try to get 10,000 steps a day and live near a lot of walking paths and parks so depending on your animals energy level I can make sure it gets proper exercise! I’m also more than happy to just cuddle up and watch tv with any low energy pets I don’t have any other pets in my house and ample room for a crate and bed, while I am in an apartment I’m in a very walkable neighborhood and you can’t hear any neighbors or their animals!
About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting for ten years because I love animals! I’m very active, love to hike with dogs, and also am creating music when at home which they tend to love if they’re with me :) I am a part time sitter and am available on some holidays which has been helpful for clients in recent years. Pet sitting fits in to an ever changing and flexible schedule. I am currently at a pet friendly and peaceful residence on a quiet street. I also pet sit for neighbors in my immediate neighborhood within a 3 mile radius.
About: I work from home and am home full time, 24/7! I’ll be a friend and playmate to all fur babies! I have experience with pets with separation anxiety so I totally get how they need all day love! Live in a duplex house with an extra room for all the furries and a huge living room with dog beds all over! AND, drumroll please… a HUGE backyard: awesome 6ft fence, with full natural grass yard and a small flower garden for all the smells. I’d love to have your pets over for a paw-ty while you are away, or pick them up for a walk on the way to the parks! I love taking pets to new parks for sniffs and if we have to drive, every pup gets a seatbelt! And a free bath if we end up getting a little rowdy and dirty while in nature hehe! I’ve taken care of various small to medium sized dogs for the last 15 years, from bichon, Havanese, poodle, chihuahua, Dalmatians, to Huskies! Even some furry cat friends! I love all things furry and have a fluffy baby of my own. I have experience with senior dogs who need medicine, diaper care, or those pups with special needs like assistance walking or going to the restroom, as I did those with my senior baby before he passed. My husband also has a hybrid schedule so there is always an extra set of eyes and an pup parent for love and cuddles! For any elderly dogs or dogs who can’t walk too far but love the fresh air, we have our large fenced yard and I also have 2 dog strollers to make sure they still feel safe and part of the dog pack! Safety is the MOST important to me so I have separated feeding areas and additional baby gates for the doors. Because of this, all unleashed play will occur in our fenced yard and we won’t be visiting any dog parks so I appreciate your understanding on this!! Neighbors, friends, family, and roommates have all entrusted me to watch over their loved ones and we’ve always had fun, safe, and silly times together! I can walk, feed, bathe and play with your fur babies and make sure they feel loved while you’re away. I’m big on pet action videos and pictures so if you want those as a pet parent I’m at your service! I love to cater to each pet parent and pet’s needs through their little staycation oasis. I’m fully remote and work from home so your pups will have a friend 24/7 if you wanted! Daily routines include wake up cuddles and kisses, morning, lunch, and dinner walks. More cuddles and kisses, lots of toys for playtime! Lots of beds for sleepies, a large fenced yard for play chase or fetch and separate areas for eating! Oh yeah, and more cuddles, kisses, photos and videos in-between! I will always have your dog on leash when we go for walks or in an enclosed yard if they need to be let out or just fed with a companion. I love taking pups to large grassy fields and in that case I have a few 25 ft leashes so the pups can “run free” but won’t be able to run away and if I have multiple pets, I would have my husband there to also help monitor the pup play!
About: Look no further if you need a dog lover that also has over 20 years of dog sitting experience, as I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have taken my adolescent “resident neighborhood dog sitter” label into adulthood. I’ve been on Rover since 2021 and have enjoyed every minute of getting to know my clients both new and returning! I’m a dog mom to a sweet senior Mini Pinscher named Sasha Fierce who comes with me to gigs as a bonus - she gets along super well with both pets and people. I WFH & freelance off a laptop, so I am home most of the week with lots of attention to give to your fur baby. Because I work from a laptop, I am portable to house sit & drop in when you’re too busy to do so. I live in a beautiful sunny apartment that dogs consider a paradise since they’re allowed to lounge on the furniture, have plenty of toys and dog beds to boot. My neighborhood is one of the more quiet & residential in the LA area, far removed from loud sounds like fireworks. There’s a front courtyard, a large lot across the street that the pups can roam around in, as well as walking distance to the Glassell Park & Elyria Canyon Trail for hikes. I also don’t take more than 2 pups from different households at once, so you can be assured your baby is getting the one-on-one attention they deserve you won’t find at Pet Resorts & overnight kennels. If your household has multiple pets, they are more than welcome to stay. I have extensive experience with senior dogs as I own one, as well as dogs of all sizes and puppies. I will always request a meet and greet before booking for both our pets’ safety, and do ask all pet parents to leave detailed instructions so I can follow them and properly keep your fur baby on their daily routine. I work remote - I have the ability to care basically 24/7 for my pup & any other pup I happen to be watching :) I’ll treat your dog as family, meaning your dog goes on walks with mine, spends time with me as I work remote, and be tended to all day long!
“Cloe is doing a great job. Our puppy is well taken care of. She is always on time, never leaves a mess, accommodating and trust worthy. We were so lucky to find her!”

“I always feel confident leaving my senior diabetic cat in Tamar’s care. She administers his insulin without issue, makes sure he eats and is cared for while I’m gone. He loves her too ❤️10/10 recommend Tamar!!”

Lucine has been amazing with my cats. She is incredibly responsible, communicative, and clearly cares about them. My cats absolutely love her, which gives me so much peace of mind whenever I’m away. She always goes above and beyond, and I know both my cats and my home are in great hands when she’s there. I always come home to happy cats and would gladly book with her again. Highly recommend!

Alicia is the most loving and thoughtful cat sitter we have ever had! From her very first visit, she treated all three of my babies like her own. She gave each of them so much attention, played with them constantly, and just seemed to know exactly what each one needed. I could actually relax on vacation for the first time maybe ever!! Honestly lifechanging and I wish I had found her sooner!! Every update she sent was so warm and thoughtful, and we came home to three happy, relaxed, clearly adored cats. We're so grateful and could not recommend her more highly! 💛

Kaylah was so gentle and great towards moomoo! She was cautious not to get too close as he gets anxious and took her time getting go know him. We had a non stressful vacation knowing we were in such great hands. Every report was detailed loaded with a bunch of photos. I would highly recommend booking Kaylah to take care of your precious fur babies!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glendale. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
