About: I’ve always had pets at home, so caring for animals is a natural part of my life. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I treat every pet with the same care and love I give my own. I work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule. This allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine and give pets the time and attention they need. I make sure pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable by following their routine, keeping a clean space, and giving them gentle, attentive care with love and respect.
“Jonalyn was fantastic with my dog! She sent so many photos and kept Mocha busy and got her tired, which is hard to do. Mocha is usually nervously reluctant to separate from me, but every time we went to Jonalyn's, she got so excited. Definitely booking again!”

“Thank you so much Albina!! It was very last minute and bullet had a good time. You were very communicative and the drop off and pick up was very quick. If I was in your area, she would be regular there.”

About: Hello, my name is Charlie! I have been a dog owner for 13+ years and recently said goodbye to my best friend. I have missed having a dog around and started pet sitting for friends and family and absolutely loved it. I have a house in Glendale with a fenced in backyard in a very safe neighborhood. So whether it's a day time visit or a fortnight stay, I have exactly what you need. My top priority is SAFETY and I will watch your dog like a hawk while they are with me. I know the hardest part of travel is leaving your pet with a stranger so I strive to make both pets and owners feel comfortable. I am a part time actor and have a very open schedule so your pet will never be alone for long periods of time. I love to cuddle on the couch, take walks around the neighborhood or play in the yard. Please let me know if you have any questions for concerns, thanks! I am a part time actor so I have a lot of free time waiting around for auditions haha! I typically spend some time at the gym but otherwise I am home all day and available for your pets! I have a fenced-in backyard in a very safe, walkable, neighborhood. My top priority is safety and I promise to keep a close eye on your dog especially when outdoors. I have no other pets in the home so they will get all my focus and attention and I do not invite others over while your pets are here, so there will absolutely be no strangers around them. Happy to accommodate any special requests (medications, vet visits, feeding requirements, necessary lullabies lol)
About: I have a 4-year-old intact male pug of my own who love and take great care of. I am knowledgeable on what foods dogs should eat, what plants and ingredients to avoid, and how to make sure they are fit and healthy. I treat my fur baby like family and I would take care of yours the same because I know how stressful it is to leave your family with a stranger. I have taken care of pets of friends before to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets. I can also administer medication as needed. I am currently at home full-time and live in a walkable neighborhood. While my apartment may be small, I make up for it by keeping active and taking long strolls around my neighborhood. I live at home with family but I have converted the living to a room to fit my sleeping needs as well as provide space for a living room. It is enough space for my fur baby as well as your own pup as long as they are not too large. I make up for the small space by keeping active and taking long strolls.
“Isabel took a great care of my dog while we were at the Rose Bowl game. She’s great with communication and was very quick in responding for drop off and pick up. Will definitely use her again next time we visit SoCal.”

About: Hi there! 👋🏻 I’ve always had pets growing up as a child, and my love for them has only grown stronger into my adulthood. I have a passion for learning about and understanding all types of animals. My experience in pet care comes from caring for my own pets, helping family and friends, and volunteering over the years. Additionally, my mom owns a dog shelter where I’m constantly involved, and I also foster dogs from a local shelter 🐕 This passion has naturally evolved into my career as a pet sitter and dog walker, where I get to spend my days caring for animals and giving them the attention and love they deserve. I believe every pet has its own personality, and I love discovering what makes each one unique, building trust and a special bond with them. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a pet’s happy face after a long walk or a day of companionship I’m currently working remote and at home, which means I can take care of pups and cats anytime of the day. I have a very flexible schedule! I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs 🐶🤍 It would be my privilege and pleasure to uphold all safety, trust, and rules required by the owner for the well-being of their pet • Walks You’ll receive a map of our route, a report on your pet’s activities, a detailed summary of our time together, and lots of cute pictures. This includes feedings and medications if needed (extra charge may apply for additional services). I’ll keep you informed when I’m on my way and when I’ve left ~30 minutes service~ • Drop-ins You’ll get a report with plenty of photos of your pet! This service includes feeding, playtime, a quick potty break, and medications if required (extra charge may apply for additional services). I’ll keep you informed when I’m on my way and when I’ve left ~15–30 minutes service~ ❗️Important information: — I double-check all doors after leaving to ensure they are properly locked and secured — During walks, I do not greet people or other dogs for safety reasons — I do not unleash dogs at any time for safety and control → If you have any questions don’t be afraid to shoot me a message and ask away *During the peak season, please note that I have a flexible schedule and can provide services within a window of up to 30 minutes before or after the time you originally requested. Typically, the service is still performed at the time you've specified *I specialize in working exclusively with non-aggressive dogs&cats ❗️Please share all essential information I should be aware of in order to provide the best possible care for your pet ❗️If possible, I recommend booking my services in advance to secure your preferred dates and times for future bookings ❗️I offer discounts for private clients, feel free to reach out and we can discuss the details

About: Last year I said goodbye to my 17 year-old dog Max, just a few months after my cat Scotty passed away suddenly from kidney disease. Thankfully, Scotty's sister Star is still with me and thriving, but I really miss being around and caring for other animals. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and the gentle care they require. I'm also very familiar with younger dogs of all sizes. And I've fostered a lot of cats - mainly kittens - which is how Star and Scotty originally came into my life. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet - whether it be walks, drop-ins, boarding or pet-sitting. I work part-time, teaching improv and also teach at an academy for gifted and neurodivergent homeschool students. The classes are short and nearby (and are not every day) so I'm never gone for more than 2-4 hours. Which leaves me plenty of time to spend with your pet! I'm available for home visits, walks throughout the day, boarding, and/or pet sitting any day of the week. I live in a residential neighborhood in the Somerset section of Glendale, perfect for walks. My apartment is a large one-bedroom I share with my cat Star, who is very affectionate and easy-going - she'd love to keep your pet company!

“Our pup was instantly a fan of Jennifer. He had a fun day and Jennifer sent pics and communicated well through the his stay. She took extra effort for his meals which I really appreciate!”

About: I’ve always shared my home with dogs, whether living with roommates and family who had pets or stepping in to pet-sit for friends. Even without having a dog of my own, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the unique bond they share with us 'two-legged animals.' I love their capacity for unconditional trust and pure affection—they really are the best companions. Whether I’m matching their high energy or enjoying a quiet moment of calm, I find so much joy in their presence Currently I am on sabbatical from my job and have time to spend with pets. I like taking dogs out for walks at the park, or just around the neighborhood. Unless some other life responsibility comes up, I am open to spend as much time as I would like with the fuzzy butts! I live in a small 8 unit apartment building in a very walkable neighborhood. I live very close to Griffith park and love to visit there with dogs. My apartment is a 2/2 and there are no limits to if a pet is on the furniture with me. I love to snuggle if they like to.
“Bianca is very nice and reliable. My dog had a great time with her. We arrived a bit later than expected, but she took my dog out for a walk and even waited for me downstairs. I would definitely ask for her help again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Wow, I can’t say enough great things about Jessica, Zach, and Fang!! My dog was immediately comfortable with them all (even though she can be nervous around men, she loved Zach). She had great play time, walks, and comfy naps. I got cute picture updates throughout the day, and she came back calm and sleepy. Can’t wait to book them again!”

“Eddy and his wife were very accommodating and super helpful. We are super grateful for their help and for taking such good care of our dogs. I will definitely schedule with them again”

“Irina met me right on time for dropoff and pickup, was extremely friendly, and kept me updated with plenty of photos throughout the day. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in excellent hands with her. I would totally leave my dogs with her again!”

My dogs love Yeseniya! She is patient, sweet, and incredibly friendly. I especially appreciate how much she genuinely enjoys spending time with the dogs. She listens and talks to them, gets to know their personalities, and pays attention to what each of them needs. Her home is very comfortable and welcoming for dogs, and her yard is perfect whether they want to run around and play or, like one of mine, just lay outside and bask in the sun. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with her for the day and am so glad to have found someone local for daytime and overnight stays in the future. I would absolutely recommend!

Apollo had such a great time with Margaret! He opened up to her right away, which immediately made me feel comfortable leaving him with her. It was especially hot today, so I really appreciated that she has an amazing shaded backyard where Apollo could relax and enjoy time with the other pups. You can tell Margaret has a lot of experience with dogs, and she was wonderful about communicating and keeping me updated. I felt completely at ease knowing Apollo was in such good hands. We would definitely have him stay with her again!

Guilia did an awesome job watching my 1.5 yr old puppy. Mabel has separation anxiety, but she immediately seemed comfortable, calm, and happy with her. Guilia was responsive and flexible coordinating pick up and drop off, took Mabel on fun walks, and sent photo and video updates. I definitely recommend and will rely on her for dog sitting again!

Django is delighted to have made 3 new friends, Sandra, Alfonso and their cute and rambunctious dog, Baxter. He was welcomed into their home like an old friend. They provided him everything a dog needs for contentment: attention, affection, stimulation, and snacks! He was his usual apprehensive self when he arrived but within 20 minutes he was chilled out on the sofa. We're both looking forward to his next visit. One more thing: thanks for sharing, Baxter!

Our dachshund Franklin has major anxiety and attachment issues, so I have always worried about leaving him with a dog sitter that he doesn’t know. But Cecile was very patient, reassuring and communicative! Franklin was comfortable enough to cuddle with her during his day care stay which means we will definitely book her again! Thank you so much!

Ian is the most gracious host ever! He was so accommodating and kind. Last minute booking and We had to change the pick up time but Ian made the whole process so smooth. My dog has the best time with Ian and I was grateful to see my pup getting all excited to see him again. Thank you Ian for going above and beyond to give my dog the best day. Looking forward to booking with him again!

Erika and her niece/mom were so great and so communicative with Kuzco! he def had so much fun and came back so happy and tired running around with all his new friends all day + going on walks and different places. thank u again - will def be bringing him back here again :)

Katrina is a lifesaver. We needed a sitter for Max last minute while on vacation. It was our first time using Rover and having Katrina as our sitter eased our anxiety, especially with Max being an anxious & slightly reactive dog with new people. She was really easy to talk to, updated us throughout the day, knows how to handle dogs, and Max warmed up to her quickly. Thank you again Katrina!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Glendale commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
