About: Hi! My name is Ruby! When you book me, I will make sure to treat your pets as one of my own, with love, patience, and care! I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter, and I am a certified cat handler and dog handler. I even have my own pets (2 dogs and 1) which I take care of on the daily! I will make sure that your pet is loved and cared for whether they are relieving themselves or enjoying a nice walk. Hope to see your pet soon! :) Im a full time student, but I am free on weekends and any holiday. As of right now, I am free any time of week because I am on break! Each morning, afternoon, and evening I take my dogs out to relive themselves as well as take them out on a full walk around my neighborhood. I also measure their food each time I feed them.
About: Animals have been a part of my life since the day I was born, and I can’t imagine life without them! Over the years I have personally owned 3 rescue pit bull type dogs and 2 cats. I foster dogs, puppies, and kittens through Pasadena Humane, where I’ve gained hands on experience with pups of all ages, sizes, medical conditions, and personalities. I’m Fear Free trained, which means I focus on keeping pets calm, comfortable, and happy during care. I have experience working with reactive dogs, understanding their needs and body language, as well as providing gentle, attentive care for senior dogs. Whether it’s playtime, training reinforcement, or just a cozy walk at their pace, I’ll treat your pup like family while keeping their safety and happiness my top priority. I currently have my own leather working business, so I am able to work my schedule around your animals needs. Whether it’s a midday walk or overnight care. I follow any and all instructions provided for caring for your pets. Any questions or concerns, I may have, I won’t hesitate to ask you. I know how precious updates are, so I will provide you with a quick updates and photos daily of how your fur babies are doing. I will also clean up after myself and any messes your fur babies might make. I am a strong believer that you should always leave a space as clean or cleaner than when you found it.

About: My lifelong love of animals has been shaped by caring for a wide range of species and by growing up in different parts of the world. This exposure fostered a deep curiosity for animal behavior, individual personalities, and the subtle ways animals communicate their needs and love. I bring this observant, thoughtful approach to every pet and home I care for. I am home most of the time—4 out of 7 days I stay home all day, and on the other days I leave briefly but return often enough to walk, feed, and give attention to your pets. I love keeping a consistent routine so pets feel safe and happy. I prioritize your pets’ safety and comfort at all times. Dogs are always on leash when outside, and I use crates as needed when they are outdoors or resting. I also enjoy taking dogs on walks in the neighborhood or nearby parks while keeping them safe and under supervision. My main priorities are adaptability and flexibility to the pet and the parent's routine, and wants.
“Abel was very good with communication and my dogs felt very safe with her. I was in a pinch and she stepped on and watched my babies while o was away and she took great care of them. I would for sure book again.”

“I cannot recommend Nathalie enough! She was incredibly punctual and showed up right on schedule during every single drop-in visit. The communication was awesome! I received scheduled updates and cute photos of my kidos which gave me complete peace of mind while away. The attention to detail and instruction exceeded my expectations. Most importantly, my pet's reactions spoke volumes—they absolutely warmed up to Nathalie immediately. About: Hi everyone! I’m excited to be back on Rover after taking a break in 2025 🤍 I have experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, both in my home and in clients’ homes. As I return, I’ll be focusing on dachshunds and small breed dogs 🐾 I now have my own pup, Zuko, so I do require a meet-and-greet before booking to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and gets along well. During their stay, your pup will also have lots of fun playing and spending time with Zuko! I provide plenty of communication and photo updates so you can always feel connected and at ease while your dog is with me. Your pup will be treated like family—with lots of love, attention, and a cozy, clean space. I can’t wait to meet your pups! 🐶✨ I have experience caring for dogs at all life stages, including senior care and administering medications (pills and liquids) with patience and care. I’ve also cared for extremely low-maintenance dogs who prefer to lounge, follow me around, or stay home when instructed by their owners, always adapting to each dog’s individual needs and personality. With my own dog, I follow a structured daily routine that includes scheduled meals with measured portions, daily supplements, regular brushing, and consistent exercise through walks and outings. I also incorporate mental enrichment through toys, lick mats, and puzzle feeders. This is the same level of care and attention I bring to every dog in my care, and I look forward to incorporating these fun, enriching activities during their stay with me 🐾 For safety and trust, my home has a small fenced backyard with high fencing, as well as a gated front area for added security. I always follow each owner’s instructions closely and respect every dog’s individual routine. Whether you prefer your dog to stay indoors, go on walks, or follow a specific schedule, I will adjust accordingly to meet their needs. I also prioritize communication and transparency. You can expect consistent updates and photos throughout your dog’s stay, and I always tailor communication to your preference—whether that’s frequent check-ins, every few hours, or a daily summary. At minimum, you will receive daily communication so you always feel connected and at ease while your pup is with me 🐾

“Crystal was an absolute gem with my cat. She's reliable, thoughtful, and her love for animals comes through in everything she does. The regular updates she sent gave me such peace of mind while I was away — I never had to wonder how things were going. I'll absolutely be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!”

About: I have pets of my own, more specifically I've had the same chihuahua for 13 years who I bathe, clean, feed, and overall take care of. I try to take her and my other dog on runs in the morning if I'm able to and try my best to keep them physically active. I also feed and take care of multiple stray cats that I come across simply because I want to be, sometimes, the one person that cares for animals who don't have homes. I have a part time job where I mainly work only 25 hours a week so I have more than enough time to take care of your animals! My job is very close to home so there would be no hassle for me to be on time. I have two dogs, a senior 13 year old chihuahua who can still be very playful, but likes to chill more than anything, and a playful 1 year old maltese who can befriend ANY animal! My 1 year old cat can be shy, but not intimidating whatsoever to any animal he meets. I have more than enough space outside and inside depending on if your pet would rather want to chill inside or outside!
“Megan is a godsend! This was my first time hiring a professional sitter and being for a week, it was the longest I was leaving my 2 cats alone. Megan not only came over for a meet n greet, but when one of my cats was unexpectedly prescribed an oral med for the week of my trip, she came over twice to practice (and was a natural!) She is so sweet and professional and I didn’t have to worry about my kitties once, she checked in every day with pics and I got to enjoy my trip. She even came over the day after to drop off my keys as I forgot to tell her where to leave them. Megan is the definition of ABOVE AND BEYOND! Can’t wait to hire her again and recommending her to every fur parent I know!”

I've been trusted with pets because I'm reliable and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I'll make sure you're constantly updated on how your pets are doing with lots of pictures, videos and activity reports. I focus on giving each pet the right mix of care, exercise and attention they need. If you're looking for someone dependable to look after your pet, I'd be happy to help. I have flexible availability to fit your pet care needs. I'm fully available on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays. Since I work from home during the day, this allows me to be responsive and reliable when caring for your pet at your home. I have no problems adapting my time to whatever schedule that your pet would require. For longer pet-sitting periods, I can adjust my schedule with advance notice. I provide attentive in home pet care focused on your pet's safety and comfort. I take time to build rapport with your pets throughout my stay. Please rest assured that your home and pets will be in capable, trustworthy hands while you're away.

I’ve been working with Jenny for a long while. I feel completely confident leaving my cats in her care. She’s prompt, super communicative and leaves robust updates of the cats each day along with a lot of pics! It makes our time out of town all the more enjoyable knowing the cats are in such good hands. ❤️❤️❤️

Found Malia after my existing sitter moved away. I’m super-pleased with how everything went. Malia is conscientious, reliable, and responsive. She is a pleasure to interact with and most importantly, she took excellent care of my little treasure, Buster. I will be booking her again without hesitation.

Dyani had an instantaneous rapport with my two kitties when she first met them! I really appreciated her daily check-in reports detailing everything she did and she sent me the best photos of my babies having treats! I couldn’t ask for a better caregiver and I would highly recommend Dyani to anyone looking for a kind, considerate and trustworthy person to care for their pets.

So happy we could rely on Jessica to take care of our two kitties while we were traveling. She sent us lots of adorable photos and gave them the pets and love they needed. She went above and beyond and brought in packages and was always great at communicating with us.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vernon. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
