Carley took great care of our cat Titan. She not only fed and cleaned for Titan, but also played with him and brushed his hair. He’s such a needy boy and we were super anxious about leaving him at home. But with Carley‘s help, that become so easy!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since my family got a dog when I was a kid. Since then I’ve cared for pets for friends and family. I am currently a grad student and I’m looking for part time work. My schedule is really flexible and can walk your dog at different times in the day. I live in apartment with one dog already so I’m used to going out and walking my dog often. I like to make sure the dog I’m with feels good and isn’t bored.

About: Featured in Parade Magazine, over 40 years petcare experience from caring for bottle babies to special needs and senior companions. I understand feline and canine behavior, health needs and the importance of patience, consistency, discretion and client privacy - particularly when caring for high-profile households. I genuinely love cats and dogs, and am reliable. I've worked with premium pet nutrition brands including Nulo and Primal - giving me a strong foundation in pet dietary health, raw feeding, and species appropriate nutrition. Experience administering meds (oral, topical, sub q fluid, insulin shots). I do not over book. I also volunteer to help cats/kittens/dogs/puppies find new homes. I have excellent references, provide a free meet & greet to make sure you feel comfortable with me, and love your pet as if they were my own. Speaking of my own - I have Feral Fawcett, Jake Kittenhaal, Ninja & Yolandi, and Medusa & Cleocatra. I can't wait to meet you and your fur children. 😻 I am a writer so I bring my laptop along and stay in your home. I may have an occasional Dr appointment or pet sitting visit, but again, I dont over book and will be available for your pets most of the day. I care for pets in the client's home. I provide at LEAST once daily updates, and am happy to provide as many as you would like. I meet with you before to go over details and always appreciate a printed reference sheet or folder.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, so this isn’t new to me. I’ve done overnight stays, dog walks, and medication administration with both dogs and cats, plus I’ve sat on other platforms like Trusted House Sitters. Whatever your pet needs, I’ve probably done it before and I’ll treat them like my own. I currently have a pretty flexible schedule. I am a pretty active person and surprisingly have changed my sleeping in habits so i’m up with the birds, so early morning walks are always available for those hot summer days. To provide the best care that includes providing the best safety for your pets and to ensure that your pets are in a safe and stable environment I can guarantee they will be in the best hands.

About: My lifelong love of animals has been shaped by caring for a wide range of species and by growing up in different parts of the world. This exposure fostered a deep curiosity for animal behavior, individual personalities, and the subtle ways animals communicate their needs and love. I bring this observant, thoughtful approach to every pet and home I care for. I am home most of the time—4 out of 7 days I stay home all day, and on the other days I leave briefly but return often enough to walk, feed, and give attention to your pets. I love keeping a consistent routine so pets feel safe and happy. I prioritize your pets’ safety and comfort at all times. Dogs are always on leash when outside, and I use crates as needed when they are outdoors or resting. I also enjoy taking dogs on walks in the neighborhood or nearby parks while keeping them safe and under supervision. My main priorities are adaptability and flexibility to the pet and the parent's routine, and wants.

About: I have proudly taken in over many dogs in the last couple years from abusive owners, shelters, and streets. I will never be able to see an animal in need and walk away. All they want is attention and love. Innocent creatures deserve the best. I currently work nights and actually have my entire day for side hustles and activities. I would love to spend the day time assisting with animals. My home has a fenced yard and I see it myself with my 1 year old golden doodle how much throwing a single ball can make them happy. These babies just want love and attention . I don’t think that’s a lot to ask for.

As a new mother I like to take care of details and I go beyond any expectations. I can bathe the dog if it it ok with any person. Please feel free to get to know me. I'm a stay home mom so I have plenty of time to take care of any dog. And play with them. And give them attention. I have a small fenced yard. Where the dog can run around without any inconvenience. And I will also take them for a walk to the park.

About: My name is Patricia! I've always had a passion for caring for animals. Our fur babies are a true testament of what unconditional love is. They each have their own personalities, and quirks. From the playful Labrador to the unpredictable Shiba Inu. It is my pleasure to say that I love what I do! My passion for animals has led me to get certified in animal care. I have worked in the animal field for the past 15 years. I have experience as a veterinary technician. I can administer injections, administer fluids, and give oral medications. I am also a professional animal cuddler... So beware! I will bestow hugs and kisses. I will boop their cute little noses, and snuggle with them. I will do my best to show them the love and care that they deserve while you are away. A little bit more about myself. I would love to eventually have the opportunity to open a rescue. Thank you for entrusting me with your fur babies! I can't wait to meet them :) I'm currently petsitting full time. I have the time to give hugs, kisses, and spend quality time with your fur angels while you are away! I don't board in my home. When I stay over a home to care for little ones I make sure to have a detailed discussion of what to do, what is allowed, and what their dietary needs are. When walking fur babies I make sure that they're leashed properly, and avoid other fur babies as you don't know how pups will react. With kitties I make sure they acclimate to my presence until I gain their trust, and make sure I see them when I leave to run an errand if need be.

Brian has been a lifesaver for me as my cat has been struggling with a kidney infection. He was very kind, compassionate, caring and yet comfortably firm with my cats during his visits. He was always on time and twice adjusted his visit around my chaotic schedule. I really appreciated his flexibility. We had a few schedule mixups with the Rover system, but Brian responded quickly and professionally and thoroughly took care of us. I will definitely be booking Brian again. He is exactly what I hoped Rover would be.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Vernon on Rover is $21.09 per visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 9,358 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Vernon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vernon. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
