“My wife and I had Alex stay at our place overnight to watch our cats and she did a wonderful job! She was very attentive and an active messenger for an anxious cat dad like myself. Our normally shy and nervous cat even came out to see her! Highly recommended her to come care for your animals. She left the place looking exactly how it was before we left :) If you need a sitter, Alex is your girl.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and friends and family have always trusted me to walk and care for their pups. As a senior dog owner, I’m experienced with different care needs, including recognizing emergencies and providing proper post-walk care. Over the past four years, I’ve cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs, building strong, trusting relationships with both pups and their owners. When walking your dog, I come prepared with water, treats, and rest breaks as needed. I’m always happy to accommodate any special requests to make sure your dog has a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable walk.
“Lillian is terrific. On time, thoughtful and diligent. She is flexible as well, and was able to extend her time with us no problem. And the doggies loved her! Highly recommend!”

“The nicest, gentlest dog lover I know. She stayed with our puppy for 3 days and nurtured him as only a deeply caring person can do. We will continue to call on her and hope she doesn’t get too booked up. She sends lots of photos too.”

“Samantha was fantastic. She was timely and stayed past her scheduled time to accommodate us getting home late. She was very insightful and knowledgeable about dogs, especially with our being just a puppy.”

“Mahalia is the best sitter of all time. I have have 10+ through rover, and they all do fine, but Mahalia went above and beyond to ensure everything was great from day 1 to the end of my travels. My dog is selective, and she passed every test 10x. I will be using her on every trip she’s available for me!!”

Vernon pet parents share their Rover experiences
This is the first time I tried “Rover” I was a little concern about having strangers at my house but after we met prior to hire her, I felt so much better. Milan ( my furry baby) loved her, she was very sweet and kept me updated. I will definitely hire her again. Thanks, Deanna!

Mahalia is the best sitter of all time. I have have 10+ through rover, and they all do fine, but Mahalia went above and beyond to ensure everything was great from day 1 to the end of my travels. My dog is selective, and she passed every test 10x. I will be using her on every trip she’s available for me!!

Michelle is really the best! I have an elderly pup and Michelle was so kind and supportive of her needs. I was anxious booking with someone I didn’t know but I could tell at the first meeting that she’d be great. She asked all the right questions which speaks to her experience. And I could tell she bonded quickly with my pup and cared about her as well! She also took great care of my space while I was away. Will definitely use her again and highly recommend.

Jen was absolutely wonderful with Bogart. She is caring and compassionate and a lovely person! She cooked for him and was patient with Bogart's needs as an 18 year-old dog. She was sending me pictures and updates regularly and he was so peppy and happy after spending time with her. I know Bogart would love to spend time with her again!

carolina took care of cricket (and our apartment) for ten nights while we took our first long trip away. she was communicative and sent a daily update, flexible and accommodated a switch to a second dogsitter due to complicated scheduling over the holidays. thanks carolina!

It was a pleasure working with Christopher. He was quick in responding and came over prior to meet the 5 cats he would be caring for. He communicated well during the stay and everything went really well. He is kind, caring and could tell he enjoys what he does! Look forward to booking Christopher for our next trip.

Julia was amazing! I was in town for a morning meeting 8-12 and I needed my dog Tig to be entertained for the period as I couldn’t leave him at the hotel alone. They went on a mini hike and visited a cafe and looked at street art and Julia shared pictures all morning. It was clear they were having a good time together and Tig was well cared for. Would absolutely book Julia again - she was a gem! Great communication, and she was flexible with pricing since I needed a weird time coverage.

Gabrielle was so amazing with my dog! She stayed at my place for 5 days with her and took the best care of her. She updated me with photos texts throughout the stay and made me feel so comfortable. I will most definitely book her again anytime I leave town! Thank you so much!

Jennifer took great care of our dogs and our house while we were on vacation, we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to stress at all about what was happening back at home. She was highly communicative keeping us up to date and we returned to happy dogs and a clean house, Jennifer is the best!
