“Maddie was amazing! Aside from this being SUPER last minute. It was my first time doing the house sitting option and, I appreciated Maddie’s quick flexibility and response. My furbabies aren’t the easiest especially when meeting for the first time, but Maddie made sure they were comfortable on their own terms. Updates definitely helped calm my mama nerves for sure! Thanks so much Maddie!”

“Daylin was polite and thorough with her questions about our elderly dogs when we first met. She did a great job taking care of them and making sure they received their medications. She also regularly sent great pictures to keep us assured that our dogs were doing well. She also left our house clean. We would hire her again. Thank you, Daylin!”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Alexandrea. From the moment we met at the meet-and-greet to the moment we left for our trip, I felt completely at ease knowing our dog, Pipoca, was in her care. She was flexible, working with our flight schedule, and, most importantly, arrived right on time. She treated our home with so much respect, as if it were her own, and her communication throughout the stay was exceptional! She sent frequent updates and always checked with us before making any decisions outside of what we previously agreed on, along with so many adorable photos and videos throughout the day! She even took Pipoca along with her while running errands aka little adventures for our little one, kept her engaged, and it was clear from every update how happy and comfortable Pipoca was with Alexandrea. When we came home, the house was clean and Pipoca was relaxed and happy. I would not hesitate to book Alexandrea again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative, reliable, and genuinely caring sitter.”

“Jehiny was wonderful! She took care of my English bulldog while I was away for the weekend and sent lots of pictures and updates. The house was so clean it looked untouched when I got back! Will definitely have Jehiny back again!”

“Súper professional and accommodating. Needed a sitter last minute for Mother’s Day and Josh went above and beyond. Very good about communicating updates. Handled giving my dog Vida her pill. & just all around a kind and caring guy! Definitely will book with him again.”

“Audrey was great! Very responsible and communicative the whole time watching my dog! It was great to have a peace of mind with her being proactive on communication and following the rules of how to care for my dog. 10/10 and will be using her again!”

About: Well what I can said. I'm a really outgoing person who likes the outdoors, I enjoy long walks I like to hike, the beach. I like to explore new things. As a new mother I like to take care of details and I go beyond any expectations. I can bathe the dog if it it ok with any person. My house is really small but I know that every dog would feel comfortable staying here. I can feed them any medication if they need any. Over all about my self I really outgoing person that likes to get along with others I'm fun, silly, happy, and I'm also a grown woman with a mind of a child that would love any activity. Please feel free to get to know me. I'm a stay home mom so I have plenty of time to take care of any dog. And play with them. And give them attention. I have a small fenced yard. Where the dog can run around without any inconvenience. And I will also take them for a walk to the park.
“Gassia was absolutely wonderful!!! She was so sweet and communicative, and sent TONS of updates and photos of our little munchkins!!! She was so patient with them as they took a couple days to warm up, but kept us in the loop and even left a couple of packs of new wet food to try since they’ve been a little picky as of late. Could not recommend her more! She was such a doll and we look forward to booking with her again soon. :)”

“Becca is the best! She was very accommodating & flexible with our last minute housesitting request. She took great care of our pets & provided our dog all her medications per specific instructions. They received lots of attention & cuddle time. We felt more relaxed on our vacation knowing our pets were being well taken care of by Becca. Thank you!”

About: I’ve cared for family and friends’ pets for years, loving them like my own. I’ve welcomed many animals into my life and even helped find safe, happy homes for those in need. “I provide reliable, loving care with daily photo updates and flexible scheduling. I’m active, patient, and experienced with energetic and senior dogs. Your dog will get safe walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I have plenty of time, patience, and love to give to your fur baby and the attention they deserve and need having a flexible job means I have more than enough time to make time I can care for your pet exactly how you prefer. As someone who had a pet , I understand how stressful it can be to trust someone with your baby — I’m very cautious and protective with my own pets, so yours will be treated the same way.

“Jenny was absolutely amazing. She is very responsive, quick and reliable and she took amazing care of our home and, most importantly, little Lily. Lily can be very shy with humans but she loves Jenny and we would book her again anytime. Thank you so much!”

“Camryn was great! She was very communicative, checked in a few times a day and sent plenty of pictures. She left the house looking great and even vacuumed! We will definitely book her again!”

“Anna took great care of our kitties on our recent trip. Our kitties were comfortable and happy, and Anna provided lots of updates and photos for us. We’ll definitely be booking her again for future cat sitting needs”
About: I will admire there pets the way they do. I know what it takes as an pet owner to make sure your furry friend is cared for in the best way! I’m currently working remotely from home. I work according to my own hours. This makes it easy for me to take frequent breaks for walks, plays in the park, etc. I have a fenced front and back yard. There’s a park near my house where I can take dogs for a walk. If I were to care for an animal in someone else’s home I would treat it with the utmost respect and care as if it were my own.
“We had Don watch our 3 year old dog for 3 nights and 4 days. He was absolutely the perfect sitter. He arrived at 5:30AM so we could have our dog be with him while we headed to the airport to relieve any anxiety and stayed until 7:00PM so we could get back not too late with our dog being alone. Don was very kind, sweet, and attentive towards our dog. He asked for a detailed item list for his stay, he sent us a ton of photos and videos without us having to always ask, and reached out to help clean up sheets, vacuum, take the trash out before his stay ended. You can tell he has a passion for dogs and truly enjoys spending time with them. I would highly recommend Don if you are looking to enjoy your vacation or time away and want to feel like you can trust someone to make your dog happy. We look forward to hiring him again next time we are out of town. He will be our first choice in sitters moving forward.”

Audry is awesome! She was respectful of my place, but most importantly, she treated my girls great, was communicative, asked questions and even sent extra pics and videos on days that were a little more challenging. My girls can't wait to be spoiled by her again, and I will definitely be booking with her whenever she's available! Thank you for making my work trip a little less stressful.

Moriah is AMAZING. We’ve been wanting to go on overnight trips but haven’t since one of our little guys has quite an involved medical routine. We have been so worried we wouldn’t find anyone that would be patient or communicative enough to learn his ways. Moriah turned that thought around *completely* and went above and beyond! Moriah was so attentive to our boys’ routine, asked the right questions, gave us the best updates with pics, and honestly the boys fell even more in love with their buddy! We’re so grateful to Moriah for helping our family, so in Moriah we Trust! :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Walnut Park on Rover is $4.58 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 15,035 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Walnut Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Walnut Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Walnut Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Walnut Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
