“My first time using Rover. Sheila did an amazing job with my two doggies. Kept me updated with pictures and messages. Bonded really well and provided them with a home away from home. Very caring and supportive of their needs. 😊😊😊”

“Molly is awesome! Absolutely adorable (not really necessary for a sitter, but credit where due), super friendly, and clearly cares about the puppers that she sits for. 100% planning to let her take care of my little floof when I’m going out of town again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and so glad we did. Katy watched our 1 year old goldendoodle for a week and kept us to date everyday sharing pictures or videos. Sugar also got along with her other long term boarder which was great. We have already booked Katy again to watch Sugar. We trust Katy and her family with our Sugar-doodle! Thank you, Katy!”

“3rd time booking with Gabrielle! She keeps us updated daily with photos and has great communication. Pick up and drop off are always smooth. Loki is excited everytime he gets to stay with her! Will definitley keep booking with Gabrielle!”

“Although Isabella only had Marti for one day, we will happily reach out again next time we need a temporary home for our little Spaniel. Excellent communication and lots of updates. Marti seemed very comfortable and relaxed. 5 STARS”

“Karen and Mel were amazing! They were so loving to my kitty and sent me daily pictures and videos. My kitty had a blast and was provided a safe home. I was able to relax knowing he was in good hands!”

“Jae was great with our boy! She was very good about sending us pictures and keeping us updated of our boy and responded promptly. Our boy seemed comfortable with her and he was happy upon return. Thank you Jae for keeping our boy with you. Would use Jae again in the future if needed.”

“Jenny & her husband were amazing at watching my pup! She was extremely communicative and was playing with him which helped my separation anxiety… lol! 100% going to book with them again :)”

“Salud did such a great job with our elderly dog. Even though Maggie isn't very mobile, Salud still made sure to give her some outdoor time. Maggie seemed in better spirits when we picked her up than when we dropped her off.”

“Sabrina took amazing care of my dog. I will definitely be using her services again. It felt so good to know that my dog was safe and in a loving home while we were away.”

“Thank you Alicia and Jimmy for watching over my fur baby while I was out of town. I really enjoyed all of the updates and pictures. I know Charley is in good hands when she stays with you and that I don’t have to worry.”

“Bridgette is amazing!! So glad we met her; she took care of my dog who just had surgery and has separation issues for three days… Bridgette was able to get him to settle down, administer medication, and provide many walks, play time, and snuggles on the bed. She also provided many photos and videos along with updates on how he was doing. I could not ask for a better experience- he even gave her a kiss goodbye! We will definitely be booking with Bridgette again sometime. Thank you again!”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs has always been more than just a responsibility to me, it comes from my heart. I’ve had dogs since middle school, and I’ve always loved and cared for them as if they were my own children. I understand that our dogs are family and I believe they deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and deeply loved, even when their parents are away. I had the privilege of raising my handsome boy Oliver from the time I was in eighth grade until he passed away in May of 2026. He was such a special part of my life, and caring for him taught me so much about the patience, attention, and compassion dogs need as they grow older. Through my own experience, I’ve learned how important it is to recognize and adapt to a dog’s changing needs throughout every stage of their life, from tiny puppies to seniors. I also have two young dogs of my own who I’ve raised since they were puppies. This has given me hands on experience with the patience, consistency, and attention that young dogs need as they learn and grow. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I always do my best to make each one feels secure, understood, and cared for. When your dog is with me, I want you to feel confident knowing they’re receiving more than basic care. They’ll receive genuine affection, patience, attention, and plenty of love. I’ll treat your fur baby with the same tenderness and care I give my own because I know just how much they mean to you. I work from home Monday through Friday which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, loving care throughout the day. I’m available after 12 PM on weekdays and can accommodate weekend bookings with at least one week’s notice. Because I work from home, I can dedicate plenty of time to your fur baby’s care, whether that means keeping them company, providing potty breaks, going on walks, enjoying playtime, or simply giving them extra cuddles and attention. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel comfortable and secure while their families are away, and I do my best to maintain their usual routines and make them feel right at home. In my home: I primarily offer pet sitting in my home, where your fur baby will have companionship throughout the day and the opportunity to play and socialize with my two dogs, as long as they’re comfortable around other dogs. I do my best to keep everyone on a consistent routine for meals, potty breaks, playtime, and rest so your pup can settle in comfortably. We do have a shared courtyard at the apartments, where I can take the dogs out for a potty break. I welcome dogs at any time, and I always prioritize their safety, individual needs, and comfort. In your home: I’m available for pet sitting at your home after 3:30 PM on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I understand how comforting it can be for dogs to remain in their familiar environment, surrounded by their own things and routines. I’ll follow your instructions closely, maintain their usual schedule, and give them plenty of affection and attention. Potty breaks and walks: I can also stop by for potty breaks and walks to help keep your pup happy, comfortable, and active throughout the day. I’ll always be mindful of their age, energy level, and individual needs. No matter which service you choose, I want you to feel confident knowing your fur baby is receiving attentive, patient, and loving care. I will also send you photos and videos throughout the day so you know how your baby is doing. I know how much our dogs mean to us, and I’ll treat yours with the same kindness and consideration I give my own. My goal is to make your time away easier for you and as comfortable as possible for your little one!
“Vuong was amazing with our Rory! Though Rory had a lot of energy and the usual puppy challenges, Vuong took care of her with patience and affection. He sent constant photo and video updates and we saw how much Rory enjoyed her time with him. We will definitely book with Vuong again 😊”

“Claudine is the best! I had to travel last minute for work and she was able to accommodate poppy. Poppy can be a little anxious and awkward but she got her out of her shell and poppy had the best time! The photos and videos made me miss her but i loved having those updates. Will ONLY be using claudine moving forward:)”

“Super happy with my little guy’s stay, a lot of constant updates from Kennedi and I’m sure he was super happy all weekend based off the pictures. Thank you!”

“Where do I start, if I could leave a 10 star review I would, from the moment I left my dog with Steven it was pure joy, he was always in contact with updates with pics and videos, he is truly a animal lover, he is so patient and attentive, he will go above and beyond with your dog, I will definitely book again with Steven, thanks a lot Sol my dog was extremely happy staying with Steven. He is awesome!!!”

I had such a great experience with Annette she was incredibly kind, caring and attentive with my dog. I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in good hands while I was out of town. She kept me updated throughout the day and sent pictures which helped me feel at ease. It was clear she genuinely cared about his comfort and well-being. I appreciate how responsible and communicative she was throughout my dog’s stay. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter, I would absolutely book with her again!

This was my dogs first time boarding and it has been an amazing experience. Blanca took such great care of my dog and kept me updated the entire time which meant a lot because i was nervous for my pup so that made me feel at ease. My dog looked very well taken care of while staying with her. I would definitely book Blanca again and recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Walnut Park home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Walnut Park.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Walnut Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
