About: I have had a passion for caring for animals since I was a child! I have volunteered at a veterinarian’s office and a wetland animal rehabilitation center, and was in an animal protection club in college. I love animals, and treat them as my own family. I am currently a college student, so I will have a set schedule always! I will be free most weekends, and some week days depending on classes. I will be free most nights, and am willing to work on homework while watching your fur-babies. I have one cat in my home, and I keep her safe by keeping dangerous items out of reach, and keeping her environment safe. I am aware that animals can get into things they shouldn’t, but it is all about the environment you put them in. I will keep a close watch on what your animal is doing, and what environment they are in.

About: I have taught my dogs basic, yet necessary commands. I nurtured my 6 year old lab back to health, recovering from her TPLO surgery with no complications! I currently have 5 dogs in the family ranging from 13lbs up to 80lbs, and one funny little cat. I have always loved animals and grew up birds, iguanas, bunnies, cats, dogs and turtles. Quite frankly, I am happiest when I am with my pets and love meeting new ones whenever I get the chance. Currently I am working a part time job, only 10hrs a week. I have a pretty open schedule so I have plenty of time to spare. Since my dogs are house trained, I am confident I can spare some time to offer my services to those with tighter schedules and would be more than happy to! I work on Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. If you care for services any of those days feel free to reach out! My time is a little more limited then, but I am willing to see if we can work around my work schedule! I take my dogs on regular walks (I would say abono every 2-3hrs). Although they may not need to potty I find it important to give them as much time outside as I can. When I can keep up I’ll also run/jog with my 1.5yr old pitty/staffie mix since she has a lot of energy. If I can’t due to harsh weather, I cut their treats really small and have them chase the pieces back and forth across my apartment so they get their exercise. As for my cat, she’s mostly hands off and likes to do her own lazy things, but I still give her pets and treats here and there. They are loved dearly and I make sure they feel so every day.

With my own dog, I follow a structured daily routine that includes scheduled meals with measured portions, daily supplements, regular brushing, and consistent exercise through walks and outings. I also incorporate mental enrichment through toys, lick mats, and puzzle feeders. This is the same level of care and attention I bring to every dog in my care, and I look forward to incorporating these fun, enriching activities during their stay with me 🐾 For safety and trust, my home has a small fenced backyard with high fencing, as well as a gated front area for added security. I always follow each owner’s instructions closely and respect every dog’s individual routine. Whether you prefer your dog to stay indoors, go on walks, or follow a specific schedule, I will adjust accordingly to meet their needs. I also prioritize communication and transparency. You can expect consistent updates and photos throughout your dog’s stay, and I always tailor communication to your preference—whether that’s frequent check-ins, every few hours, or a daily summary. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maywood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
