About: from fish, to chickens, to ducks, to birds, to cats and dogs, I've pet-sat them all! I regularly pet-sit for a friend whose house we affectionally call "the farm" because it has all these animals! I work at a school 8-3pm. During the holidays my schedule is quite flexible to take care of your more needy pets, and during the rest of the year I'm happy to hang with your low-maintenance furry friends! I take detailed notes on instructions from pet-owners on our initial meeting and repeatedly refer back to them throughout my stay. as for the pups, I love to walk them, especially the adventurous ones who are excited for a hike or longer adventure!
About: What sets me apart is my background as an experienced veterinary technician. I can confidently care for senior pets, administer medications (including injections), recognize early signs of illness, and provide skilled, compassionate care for pets with special medical needs. I treat every pet as if they were my own and prioritize building trust with both pets and their families through dependable, personalized care. I’m currently providing pet care full-time, which means I have the flexibility to give your furry family member the time, attention, and personalized care they deserve. Whether they need companionship, playtime, medication, or extra TLC, I’m committed to providing compassionate, skilled care while you’re away. When caring for your pet in their own home, I strive to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, exercise, fresh food and water, medication if needed, and lots of affection. I’ll also keep your home tidy, respect your instructions, and send regular photo and text updates so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away.

“If you're looking for someone to care for your cat like family, look no further!! You'll be lucky if you get to hire her. Big Rig (known affectionately as Iggy) is probably a lot like your cat. In other words, he's not just a cat—he's a furry little personality with opinions, routines, and a very specific standard of service. Kenya met all his demands. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat who clearly had not spent the weekend plotting my demise for abandonning him with a stranger. That's a huge success in cat-owner terms. From the moment I met Kenya for a "meet and greet," I knew Iggy was in caring and capable hands. Kenya immediately appreciated Iggy's quirks, respected his boundaries, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Knowing that Big Rig was safe, comfortable, and cared for allowed me to actually enjoy my trip instead of worrying about what kind of chaos a bored feline genius might be creating at home. Kind, reliable, thoughtful—I couldn't ask for a better person to look after Iggy. Five stars from me, and if Big Rig could write reviews himself, he'd probably give six.”

“Brandi was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and our kitties’ first time meeting someone new without us so they were super shy but she was very patient with them and always prioritized their comfort. She was always on time, had great communication, and send pictures. Would absolutely book her again!”

About: I come from a dog-loving family on the East Coast that always had a furry companion to care for as I was growing up. I’ve cared for my own pets as well as pet-sit for neighbors and friends over the years (including cats and dogs, both overnight and drop-by). I'm a semi-recent college grad and current remote freelancer, so I am available most odd hours of the week with really flexible schedule to stay, drop-in, or walk your pet(s)!! My current housing unfortunately does not allow pets, but I am experienced in pet-sitting at a client’s home and can easily adapt to your home and pet’s needs.
“Emily was very good with our two cats. She was prompt and professional, clear in communication, shared lots of photos, and took time to clean up the areas around the litter boxes. Would recommend.”

“This was my first time using Rover and getting a cat sitter. Katherine was so great through this process. She definitely cared for my babies as if they were her own. I would love to book her again!”

“Aries is truly the best! I went on a long trip and my cat got stomach issue right before I left. She truly took close care for him and no problem giving him scheduled medicine and my cat recovered in few days. Much appreciate her love and care for my cat and my cat loves her too! Highly recommend!”
“Liana was great while I was out of town for a day! She was super kind & caring with my dog. She also made sure to give her lots of love and pets. I would recommend!!”

“Giselle was a great fit and did a wonderful job watching out kitty Otto. He has an automatic feeder so we were really just wanting someone to drop in and play with him so he wasn't too bored or lonely over the thanksgiving holiday. Recommend her all the way for your kitty needs!”

“First time booking Sam as a drop in before a long stay coming up. She did a great job! The dogs seemed to really feel comfortable with their walk, playtime and meals!”

“Sara was a fantastic caregiver for our elderly cat and we would recommend her to anyone! She is extremely communicative, and respectful of our cat's needs. She went above and beyond and asked where a broom & dustpan were while we were away because Becky can be sloppy with her litter. Sara proactively clarified Becky's insulin needs to make sure she would be giving her the right amount amidst some changes in her insulin regimen. We look forward to when we can book Sara again!”

“Kimberly is the best. She is so kind and is always so great with Tarzan. And always on time! I would recommend her for any one looking for a great pet sitter!”
“Margaret is truly the best. She’s so attentive, kind, and accommodating. She really loves taking care of pets and it shows. My dogs adore her and every time I return after she’s come by there is such an ease and peace to them which is reassurance that they’ve enjoyed and appreciated time with her. Thank you Margaret for you care and kindness to my lil fur kids.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Highland Park
The kitties were well fed and hydrated. The litter boxes were clean (minus the recent dumps the cat took after Nyssa left but that is nothing on her) and the house looked to be in good shape even though we could have left it cleaner. I'll be booking with Nyssa again.

Camille was very nice and communicative. We have very shy cats and this was their first visit with Camille. While they didn’t come out, it’s typical for them, and I think they will warm up to her quickly. She also let us know when we had a problem with some mail and was very helpful.

My two Maine Coons, Starburst and Greywolf, who are brothers, are currently 13 years old. These cats have always had a family friend watch them since they were 10 weeks old, so you can imagine my trepidations when my friend said she was going to be out of town when I needed her. Aries did a most amazing job. One of my cats is super shy, but she managed to get him out from behind the chair and played with him. The other cat is Mr. Friendly and she had him on her lap. I saw these miracles as Aries sent me several photos of the cats and her magical work with them. I highly, highly recommend Aries.

Adriana is the best, y'all. Communicative, professional, reliable, and so sweet with my two cats. She clearly put a lot of love and care into the visits and did not skimp on play time during our week-long trip. I couldn't recommend her more to anyone looking for a caring soul to look after their pets. We will definitely be booking with her whenever we can.

Tamara was an amazing sitter and was so kind to respond to a last minute request! My usually-shy cat was quick to come out of hiding and play with her after meals, which made me extremely happy to see 🥹 Tamara took such good care of her and made sure all my cat’s little eating and care habits were met! Thank you again!!

Emily was so easy to work with - we had a prep visit and she offered to track all the instructions herself, which I really appreciated. Then when we were gone, our power went out and she was so sweet & willing to find our breaker box to reset it. Our cats loved her, she sent so many fun pictures that made us feel like our babies were happy & safe. Highly recommend - goes above & beyond!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
