“Jessica was great at looking after my three cats and was able to come up with a quick solution when one of my cats initially refused to eat. My cats seemed to be very comfortable around her.”

“Anna was very sweet with my pup, Forrest and I enjoyed receiving photo updates. When Forrest was anxious one day during a 30 min. drop-in visit, Anna even offered to stay longer, which was appreciated!”

“Kyle was invaluable by looking after our reptiles on short notice that we were able to have peace of mind while abroad without having to board then. We definitely would recommend them and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

“Joy saved my life while out of town! I had to order an entirely new high tech cat feeder and she spent so much time communicating with me and went above and beyond to set it up (which is not easy to do). She’s super smart and easy to coordinate and communicate with. I will continue to use her! So grateful!!!”

“Having Mike take care of our cats has made us feel at ease when going on trips. Cats are well taken care of, happy with the company, and we get lots of pictures with the updates. Thanks again, Mike!”

“Shelby always takes amazing care of our two cats, sends so many sweet pictures, and I always feel so comforted when we’re out of town and she’s able to stop by. She was so flexible this most recent time because it was for the birth of our daughter, so obviously there were some unknowns in terms of timing of the visits. I hope we continue being able to have Shelby watch our cats whenever we go out of town!!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and what can I say — I just love them. I have cared for dogs for 20 years, and even spent a few years training dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC). I rescued my own pup nearly 10 years ago, and rescued my cat ~5 years ago now-- and have since been equally obsessed with felines. They’re incredibly different animals, with their own way of looking at the world, both of which I respect :). Over the years, I have walked and cared for many family's, friends’ and colleagues' dogs and cats of all ages, and recently opened my network to my neighborhood. **Currently, I am open for dog walking and dog/cat drop-ins. Please see all service options (including add-ons) in my profile and feel free to reach out with questions!** Note: for 60-minute walks -- depending on location, weather and your comfort level, I can take your pup(s) for a hike or trail-run nearby! The bottom line is: the safety of your dog/dogs is my top priority. I know how it is. I’ve used Rover and other services for my dog and cat, and I understand how it feels to entrust another person with your fur-kiddo. I am patient and will give you whatever you need to feel comfortable with me as a caregiver — from answering questions, to a meet-and-greet (in person or on zoom), to picture updates all along the way. Every dog is different, and I want to know what makes your pup unique so I can provide him/her with the best care. I’m a good communicator — from medications to leash/sidewalk politics to triggers and everything in between, you can rest assured we will be on the same page. I have experience caring for all shapes and sizes: - Chihuahuas and Terriers (my dog Jack is a mix!) - Bernese Mountain Dogs - Border Collie Mixes - Staffy’s - Golden Retrievers - Shelties - Samoyeds And more. Oh and… giant cats like my Norwegian Forest Cat. I am happy to take on puppies and can integrate any training you might be working on with your fur-kiddo. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate most walks and drop-ins depending on your needs. Just shoot me a request and I’ll get back to you right away. I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I expect at my own. I also take privacy very seriously. I am always happy to do meet-and-greets at a public park (or similar) before services. Again, I get it — you're trusting someone new in your home and with your animals. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible!
“Sophia is amazing , quick to respond , always keeps me updated and sends lots of cute pictures . I will continue to request her as long as she’s available. Thank you once again .”

“Namie is wonderful with our two big puppers! We've booked with her before and we'll definitely book with her again! She is very caring, communicative, sends us pics of our girls, and lets us know how everything went during her visit. Thank you Namie!”

Skilled in daily care, behavior management, grooming, training, and creating enriching environments tailored to each animal’s breed-specific traits and individual temperament. I’m currently searching for a job, anytime works. I would love to take care of animals as a job. I love animals pet care would fit perfectly into my routine! I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm, enriching environment whether caring for pets in my own home or a client’s home. With over 15 years of hands-on experience raising a Shih Tzu, an Akita, a Pomeranian (for 15 years), and four cats, I have developed reliable routines tailored to each animal’s breed, size, personality, and needs.
About: I've taken care of family and friends' pets for many years. I began learning to understand dog behavior when I became a volunteer dog walker at the Utah Humane Society in middle school. Since then, going on long walks and hikes has been one of my favorite things to do (along with giving belly rubs and snuggles!); with my car I can easily travel to good spots. I am very flexible person who can do both long and short walks, whatever your dog might need! I will take very good care of your dog and I can't wait to meet them! I'm currently an open book, available to work most hours. When I'm not booked, I will be trying to begin my own website design business. I won't take work on Sundays for faith purposes but I can work the rest of the weekend. I will always give time for a meet and greet session, especially at the beginning of our acquaintance. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable before we begin working together:) When I'm visiting your home, I am more than willing to take your dog outside to play and give your pet plenty of love and attention. I'll treat the space of your home with the utmost respect. I will follow any detailed instructions pet owners share for mealtime, walks, training/tricks, dog parks, toy rules, and general schedules.
“Kelly takes care of it all! She's bonded with our orange tabby Ginger, who knows her well after repeated Rover visits. I feel comfortable when we're away. There's always great communication with Kelly. She's a purr-fect sitter. Highly recommend Kelly!”

“Thank you Albert and Catherine for your drop in visit with Danny. I was relieved to know you played ball with him, picked up after him, gave him fresh water and even pulled in my dumpster!!! You both are amazing. I surely will hire you again!!!”
“Limari took great care of my cats while I was away. I appreciate that she was a good communicator and sent me pics with every visit. It gave me a lot of peace of mind, and I would definitely rebook again. 🙂”

About: Im a huge dog lover. I currently have four dogs and they’re my babies. Ive owned dogs all my life. Dogs make me happy. So caring for them and playing w/ them isn’t a job to me. If I could give Mari ten stars (or fifty), I would. She is absolutely great. She goes above and beyond. She clearly loves and understands animals, and she bonded with my cat during her introductory visit. My only concern is that my cat might prefer Mari to me henceforth (I'm only half joking.). I am sure she would be fine with dogs too. Hire her and you can be certain your pet is extremely well cared for while you are away.

Amanda was very helpful and accommodating while taking care of my two cats. She always sent photo updates and would let me know of any issues. She would try to plan ahead for the visits and was also patient while working with me to troubleshoot any unexpected issues. I would definitely have Amanda take care of my boys again and would recommend her to others

Shari is truly a gem of a human being. She takes excellent care of my wee fur babies and goes above the request with care of our home, too. One fur baby is a bit shy and Shari’s consistency pays off and my other fur baby is an ambassador and loves Shari’s care and attention. Shari is conscientious, caring, and committed to the care of the animals who she is in charge of - book her now!

Emily was so easy to work with - we had a prep visit and she offered to track all the instructions herself, which I really appreciated. Then when we were gone, our power went out and she was so sweet & willing to find our breaker box to reset it. Our cats loved her, she sent so many fun pictures that made us feel like our babies were happy & safe. Highly recommend - goes above & beyond!

Tianfan is our go to catsitter. We have worked with her multiple times now and she has been amazing! Our cats love her. Thank you so much for taking care of the house and the kitties!! We’ll stay in touch so we can book you again for our next vacation. Thank you!

Diana has pet sit for my cat Mooney several times and she has been great! She sends pictures and is very responsible. She has also been very responsive whenever I reach out which I really appreciate. She has been able to watch my cat on short notice which is huge. Highly recommend!

She was so good with Jessica. Usually she's super shy with new people and she immediately im ate treats from Anne. Her energy was great. Clearly she has a connection with the animals. It was less hard going on a trip knowing my cat was in good hands. She also sent the cutest photos.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Knoll. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
