About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for as long as I can remember! I grew up in a household that always had at least two dogs and two cats, and I loved being involved in their care from a young age. Today, I have a beautiful six-year-old calico of my own named Goose, who is my pride and joy. I will also add that I do have some experience with exotic animals and took care of an axolotl for years. My friends and family turn to me when they need someone to look after their pets. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away. I’m attentive, adaptable, and mindful of each pet’s individual needs and routines, and I’m always happy to go the extra mile to make sure both pets and their owners feel at ease. If you book with me, you can expect lots of love, patience, and thoughtful care. I look forward to becoming your pet’s new buddy! Please feel free to reach out with any questions. :) I’m currently working part-time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule! My weekends are typically wide open, and on weekdays I’m most often available after 3 PM. My availability can vary a bit from week to week, so please feel free to reach out with any scheduling questions or requests. I’m always happy to communicate, work around your needs when possible, and find a schedule that works for everyone! I offer drop-in visits and house sitting in my clients’ homes, including overnight stays, rather than boarding pets in my own home. I’m very respectful of other people’s spaces and will follow all household rules and instructions, taking care to leave everything just as I found it. I’m adaptable and happy to learn whatever routines your pets are accustomed to, whether that means specific feeding schedules, medication, regular potty breaks, playtime, or simply keeping them company. My priority is making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their familiar environment, with as little disruption to their routine as possible. I also know how reassuring it can be to hear from someone looking after your pets, so I’m always happy to send photo and text updates throughout my time with them! I want you to be able to relax while you’re away, knowing your pets and your home are in good hands. I’m happy to communicate, answer questions, and accommodate your pets’ individual needs so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. :)
“Thank you Albert and Catherine for your drop in visit with Danny. I was relieved to know you played ball with him, picked up after him, gave him fresh water and even pulled in my dumpster!!! You both are amazing. I surely will hire you again!!!”
“Ani, thank you so much for looking after our Oliver! Regular updates and some fantastic photos were a blessing, and over the festive season too. Thank you so much for being so flexible with bookings, especially given the short notice over Christmas when we unexpectedly found ourselves needing to be out of town. Would 10,000% recommend Ani, she has been truly fantastic. Thank you!!!!”

“I made sure to Book Dean a few months before my scheduled vacation because Dean is hands-down, without a doubt the best cat sitter. I’ve had many cat sitters in the past and they were all very kind and I felt that my cats were safe with them but it’s different with Dean. When we come home after a long vacation, my cats feel different if they have been watched by Dean. We can tell that they were not only safe and well fed, but they felt loved. Dean brings over handmade cat toys and special treats and engages with them the entire time. We can tell just by the photos how much our cats love Dean. I’m generally a nervous person when it comes to my cats because they are my babies and when we get Rover cards from any other Rover, I immediately have nerves thinking “what if something went wrong”. With Dean, my husband and I have general excitement when we get the Rover card. We are always so excited to see what they have been up to. It’s such a blessing when you know your pets are safe with someone but it’s beyond wonderful when you know they feel loved.”

About: I grew up around pups—my grandmother ran an animal rescue, and my grandfather had six dogs at once. Since then, I’ve been the go-to walker, feeder, and bather for friends, neighbors, and family. I’m especially great with high-energy pups and senior dogs, and I always go the extra mile to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy! Pet care is a core part of my daily and weekly schedule. I currently walk dogs multiple times a week, and I plan my other responsibilities around their needs. Whether it’s a quick midday potty break or a longer afternoon walk, I always show up on time and give each pet my full attention and energy. In a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm and familiar environment for their pet. I stick closely to the routine the owner has in place, whether that’s feeding times, walk schedules, or play preferences, so their pet feels safe and at ease.
“Julien took great care of my shy cat, Scouse! He took pics, made sure his box was clean and gave him his meds. He was very courteous, too! I will definitely be using the services of Julien whenever I need to leave for a while! Thank you!”

About: Growing up, I had two cats; I rescued them from the shelter; their names are Shy and Puppy. They live with my mom at her house. I currently have Mollie fish for my kids, 1 Beta fish, My son named him Blueberry, and 1 Dog; his name is Coffee. Currently going to school Mon-Thur I am available on the weekends and holidays. One week in advance notice is preferred; I have three kids to take care of during the week; after 6 pm, I can be available if you need me to walk the dog on Mon-Fri. I prefer to take care of your pet at your home since my home is pretty busy. I have one dog, but he's not neutered; the backyard is fenced.
“It was my first time booking with Alicia and using Rover, and was a wonderful sitter! She was on time and followed instructions thoroughly! She was great with my 2 kittens and played with them lots. Alicia also asked for feedback after the visit, which I really appreciated. Looking forward to booking her again next time!”

About: Hi! I'm Harue, and I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. I've cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors, volunteered at local animal shelters, and rescued my own pet parakeets. Getting to know each animal's unique personality is one of my favorite parts of pet sitting! 🐶🐱❤️ I've cared for dogs, cats, parakeets, hamsters, and reptiles, and I love spending time with animals of all kinds. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or prefers quiet company, I'm happy to meet them where they’re at. My schedule varies day by day, but I will definitely let you know if I am available during the time of your request! I’ll follow their usual routine, including feeding, walks, and any special care needs, while keeping you updated with photo updates along the way! 📸 Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would give my own, while following their routines, keeping their environment safe, and creating a calm, stress-free experience. Whether we’re going on walks, having playtime, or spending quiet time together, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy. 🐾
About: Hi! I recently graduated from UCSB and have a very flexible schedule this summer before starting my full-time job. I’ve dog sat for family friends, and neighbors over the years and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I’ve cared for a Maltese for several weeks, looked after a German Shepherd, and watched other small and medium-sized dogs. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, going on walks, playing with dogs, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I always try to provide the same level of care and attention they receive at home. I’m also happy to send photo updates so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands. I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care throughout the day, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. I’m available on weekdays and weekends and can easily adjust to your dog’s normal routine. Since I’m home most of the day, I can make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never left alone for long periods of time. I live in a spacious townhouse with plenty of room for dogs to relax and move around comfortably. I also have a private porch where dogs can safely spend time outside and enjoy some fresh air. There is a coach outside for them to lay on. I understand that every dog has different needs and routines, so I always follow owner instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, exercise, and any special care. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away.
About: For nearly two decades, my neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to care for their pets when they are away. I have extensive experience looking after dogs and cats of all ages and needs. Not only can I take your high-energy dog for a long walk or run, I will also slow things down to give your elderly pet the time and attention they need. I’m known for never refusing a belly rub and always loving your pets like my own. I am also happy to check up on aquarium dwellers (like my client who has goldfish!) I am a professional dancer and summer is the slow season, so I have flexible hours that can fit anyone’s busy day. I am available for daytime check-ins, walks, and daycare any day of the week. My schedule easily allows for pet pickups/drop offs and house sitting. I am home most of the day to keep your dog company. If I am out of the house it usually will only be for a couple hours and I have a very friendly dog who will comfort your dog in my absence. Because I am home most of the time, I can do exercise and potty breaks as frequently as you would like.
“Lori did a couple quick check-ins with our pup while he was under the weather. She was super communicative, on time, and gave helpful updates about our pup Mojave. We would absolutely use her services again.”

“My cats always love Lifan! She does such a great job playing with them and feeding them, always follows up with photos, and gives a report of how they’re doing. She’s a great cat sitter.”

“Jesseca was amazing. We needed someone to pop in daily to give one of our cats his daily med and make sure everything was going ok. She was incredibly easy to work with and took all the stress out of us being away.”
About: Animals have been a big part of my life since I was little! I’ve trained all my dogs with basic commands and often help friends with theirs. Gabby, my sister, helps with me with all sittings and services provided. She is in the process of getting her Biology degree, animals are one of her passions. It is impressive to see her care for the animals and how they all love her. Our dog is now a senior, so we understand the special care and patience older pets need as well. My schedule is flexible since I work remotely, so I have plenty of time to play with and care for your dog or cat! I usually take dogs for walks around the neighborhood every 4 hours, but I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs. If I do need to run errands or be out, Gabby will be physically present with your pet until I am back. I treat every pet like my own! Whether they stay at my place or I care for them in their home, I make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and safe. I stick to their normal schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, and I always give them lots of attention and affection. I also like to send regular updates and photos so you can see how they’re doing

Joanna is an excellent pet sitter. You can tell she truly cares about her pet clients. She is very kind and conscientious and follows through on everything she promises. I would definitely recommend Joanna’s pet sitting services. And my dog Mei Mei would agree 100%.

Charmaine was great with our senior girlie while we were out of town! They did all of her favorite activities together like laps around the house and sitting on the catio. We got plenty of pictures to make us miss her a little less until we got back. We’ll definitely be booking with Charmaine again!

I can’t recommend Heidi enough! She was able to accommodate my very last minute request and was absolutely wonderful with my kitty. I was able to feel at ease while I was away. It was such a relief knowing my cats were in such good hands and getting lots of love and attention. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing cat sitter! 😊🐾
This was our second time booking Sydney, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She is excellent with our two cats and so attentive to their different needs and personalities. She was also great with giving medication! Her pictures and reports on her visits were so good and always a delight to receive.

Skylah is absolutely amazing! She has taken care of my two cats for me many times now, and she is always someone I know I can count on!! She communicates so well, keeps me updated, and I always feel at ease knowing my cats are being fed, cared for, and getting some love and attention while I’m away. I’m so grateful to have found someone so reliable and caring! I would absolutely recommend her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
