“Aline was great! She followed through in every visit by spending time with our cat and making sure her needs were met. Constant communication with us and provided pictures in the rover card.”

About: I grew up with dogs, including my beloved Maltipoo, who was part of my life for 13 years. I’ve also spent the past few summers dog walking in the Bay Area, and now that I’m in LA, I would love to continue doing the same! Through my experience, I’ve learned how to read dogs’ body language and understand their behavior. I’m calm, patient, and comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, and I would love the opportunity to meet and care for yours! 🐶 I’m currently a senior in college, and pet care fits easily into my weekly schedule! I’m available after 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and before 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. I wasn’t able to include all of these details in my Rover availability calendar, so please feel free to message me to confirm a time! Since I grew up with dogs, have spent the past few summers dog walking, and have three years of experience volunteering with larger farm animals, I’m comfortable caring for animals of all sizes and personalities. In your home, I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine and any instructions you leave, including feeding, refreshing their water, playtime, and walks. I’m calm and patient, and I pay close attention to each pet’s body language so I can adjust to their needs. I’ll also keep you updated, so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe and in caring hands💗
“Jessica did a fantastic job sitting our playful cat Maverick--we will definitely ask her again the next time we go out of town! She arrived every day at the right time, and was great at communicating and sending us photos and updates. It was clear from the photos that our kitty befriended her--it made us have a better vacation knowing that Maverick was being so well taken care of.”
“Day was fantastic!! Really wonderful, empathetic care & attention to detail for our kitties. We were traveling for 10 days and felt at ease knowing we were in good hands. Great communication and appreciated pictures from each visit. We will definitely be booking again for all future travel!”

About: Hi! I'm Sarah, a lifelong animal lover and proud dog mom to Margot, my sweet 11-year-old pit mix. I grew up with a beloved cat named Tigger who lived to the age of 18, and I've also cared for hamsters and other small pets throughout the years. Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I truly believe the love of a pet can be healing, comforting, and life-changing. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply a reassuring presence while you're away, I'm committed to providing attentive and compassionate care. Because I've cared for pets at many different life stages, I'm comfortable with puppies, senior pets, administering medications, and following special diets or care instructions. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and routine, You can trust that I'll follow your instructions carefully and communicate clearly throughout every visit. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pet receives the same love, patience, and kindness they get from you. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I have an 11-year-old pit mix, Margot, who keeps me active with walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, medication administration, and extra time for pets who need a little more attention. I enjoy spending time with animals and believe consistency, patience, and affection help pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or a senior, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care. At this time, I provide care in my clients' homes through drop-in visits and dog walking services. Because I have a senior dog of my own, I am not currently offering pet boarding in my home. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and secure. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, clean litter boxes, take dogs on walks, engage in playtime, and give plenty of affection and companionship. I understand that every pet is unique. Some want lots of attention and belly rubs, while others prefer a quiet companion who respects their space. I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free while you're away. My goal is to treat your home with respect and care for your pets as if they were my own family members.
About: I’ve worked in a dog daycare services for the last 8 years. I cared for over 10 dogs or more in a previous daycare home. My duties were to care for all the pups, feed scheduled meals, give prescribed medications, maintain the yard, change dog diapers, and greet clients who were picking up of dropping off their dogs. As of now I dog sit for friends, family members, and for other clients who I have been referred to. I enjoy working with dogs and caring for them. I do have two of my own fur babies who are Lola and Pepper. Hello, I am on summer break from school and decided to start taking care of dogs or dog walking in my downtime which is primarily on the weekends. As of right now I do work M-F in healthcare. If I’m hired to dog sit for a few days I normally check in with owners to see what their dog or dogs routines are. It’s important for me to gather this information to better care for the dogs and to make sure that my client is satisfied with my work ethic. Another thing that I like to do before a dog sitting service is scheduled I prefer to do meet and greets to make sure that the clients and pets are comfortable with me. Every pet and owner is different and I just want to make sure that I’m able to meet their care requirements.
About: Lots of experience walking/sitting dogs and taking care of cats. Love pets of all sizes, and have experience taking care of multiple at a time. Living in Pasadena and servicing Greater LA County area. Mostly open schedule. Usually available on weekends and holidays except Christmas and Thanksgiving. Can do day visits or overnights. I can't take care of pets in my own home, but I have experience taking care of them in different housing arrangements (house/apartment/etc) and security, and will thoroughly closely follow whatever guidelines the owner sets.
About: What Sets Me Apart Caring for animals has truly been a lifelong part of who I am. I’ve been caring for cats since I was 4 years old and dogs since my early teens. My parents have fostered and sheltered animals for over 25 years, and when I visit home, I help care for what we lovingly call our little “pet haven.” Through that experience, I’ve cared for kittens and puppies all the way through their senior years. Being around foster and rescue animals has taught me patience, gentleness, and how to read different personalities — from energetic and playful to calm, sensitive, or even a little sassy 😊. I’m comfortable with both high-energy pets and senior pets who need a slower, softer approach. I also have a deep respect for animal safety and well-being — even rescuing baby birds and bringing them to the local humane society when needed. Animals have always been a source of comfort and joy in my life, and I treat every pet with that same level of love, attentiveness, and care. With a steady weekday schedule, pet care fits naturally into my routine with evening pet visits after 6pm and weekend availability, limiting bookings to maintain focused, reliable, quality care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your instructions and routines to help your pet feel secure and stress-free. I maintain a clean, calm environment and am attentive to details like secured doors, safe walks, and proper feeding. I never overbook, so each pet receives dedicated attention and supervision. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“If I could give Mari ten stars (or fifty), I would. She is absolutely great. She goes above and beyond. She clearly loves and understands animals, and she bonded with my cat during her introductory visit. My only concern is that my cat might prefer Mari to me henceforth (I'm only half joking.). I am sure she would be fine with dogs too. Hire her and you can be certain your pet is extremely well cared for while you are away.”

“Priscilla was absolutely incredible. This was the first time we left our kitten alone since adopting him. We were very hesitant to leave however Priscilla made the experience very easy. Her constant updates, communication, pictures and positivity made us feel very very comfortable while we were away. I can’t recommend Priscilla enough! Thanks so much!”

About: I regularly volunteer with cats at Kitten Rescue and Pasadena Petco, and have experience administering care, food and medicine to cats with disabilities and senior cats. I’ve been a lifelong cat lover and currently care for my own cat, so I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention while you’re away. Whether your cat is social and playful or prefers a quieter approach, I’ll work at their pace and make sure they receive the care, attention, fresh food and water, litter box maintenance, and companionship they need. My goal is to help your cat feel comfortable and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand that trust is the most important part of pet care. Available Monday through Friday for drop-in visits between 5 PM - 10 PM; M, W, Fri from 6:30 AM - 8 AM; 12-1 PM; 5-10 PM; Flexible schedule on M, W, FRI due to working from home. Available Saturday and Sunday all day for drop-in visits and house sitting. I like stocking my cat’s environment with blankets, beds and toys and offer lots of love and cuddling. I will follow my client’s instructions and preferences to keep their cat comfy and happy.

About: Ive had dogs and cats ever since I was a kid, whether they chose us as strays or we chose them. Ive had white german Shepards, a black Labrador and a Staffordshire Terrier as of recent. Currently owning two adorable playful cats with my girlfriend, Tiger and Choco. Ones sweet and loving while the other is a fun loving naughty lil devil. Im a freelance artist/painter/illustrator and instructor. Some factors as to why my free-time is more than others are my jobs may be spaced out and I do most of my work at night and or the weekends when I'm not teaching. The cats I have now are both indoor kitties, I provide them with tons of toys and Churu treats to keep them happy. I enjoy being outdoors and going on walks/ hikes or bike rides but its hard doing that with the cats I have because they aren't so keen to being outside. I used to ride my bike with my Staffordshire Terrier around LA alot.
“Jessica has been great checking in on and walking our dog Miso while we’re at work. He is very particular with people but warmed up to her right away. She’s been very responsive with updates. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Lanaye did a great job caring for our munchkins while we were away. She was attentive to changes at the house and communicated with lots of detail. She went above and beyond by vacuuming before we came home. We look forward to booking Lanaye again.”

About: I’ve taken care of my two golden retrievers and their 31 puppies all until they’ve left the nest! I’ve been exposed to dog training and all different sizes of dogs. I’ve taken care of puppies, teens, adults, and seniors! I’ve also grown up with 10 cats and litter trained, played, and cuddled with all ages! I am unemployed so I have all the time in the world to check up on your loved ones 24/7. I will constantly be taking them out on walks, playing with them, feeding and taking them out for potty time! I have a fenced yard, and a special kennel in the backyard. Our yard is long and great for playing catch. I also have a senior golden retriever who would love to keep your fur baby company!
“Shannon saved the day on very short notice! Was communicative and shared photos, keeping us at ease while away. Our very shy kitty who NEVER comes out for strangers even warmed up to her for cuddles, which says a lot to me about her warm and gentle vibes. Would recommend Shannon highly to anyone!”
“Helen and her husband were so sweet with our little boi Boris! They responded last minute, gave him lots of love and even spent a little extra time with him. Would definitely hire them again :)”

Lifan was vey responsive and easy to book with. She was extremely reliable and communicative while caring for my cat, Eggs, over Labor Day weekend. Eggs is normally pretty shy but warmed up to her almost immediately. When I got home from being away, he was happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend Lifan!

This was the second time Priscilla took care of my cat, and in addition to doing a good job with feeding, playing, and litter, she really seemed to develop a bond with him. He can be bitey and I appreciated that she took this in stride. Her photos and timely updates were a joy to receive while I was away.

Neysa was amazing! My boys are very skittish around peeps they don’t know and they took to her so quickly! She also helped with a few other items we needed being out of town for so long. She also sent great updates and photos of my boys during each visit. Neysa will be our go to for sure the next time we are out of town 😊 and I’m sure my boys already miss her!

If I could give Mari ten stars (or fifty), I would. She is absolutely great. She goes above and beyond. She clearly loves and understands animals, and she bonded with my cat during her introductory visit. My only concern is that my cat might prefer Mari to me henceforth (I'm only half joking.). I am sure she would be fine with dogs too. Hire her and you can be certain your pet is extremely well cared for while you are away.

Diana has pet sit for my cat Mooney several times and she has been great! She sends pictures and is very responsible. She has also been very responsive whenever I reach out which I really appreciate. She has been able to watch my cat on short notice which is huge. Highly recommend!

I made sure to Book Dean a few months before my scheduled vacation because Dean is hands-down, without a doubt the best cat sitter. I’ve had many cat sitters in the past and they were all very kind and I felt that my cats were safe with them but it’s different with Dean. When we come home after a long vacation, my cats feel different if they have been watched by Dean. We can tell that they were not only safe and well fed, but they felt loved. Dean brings over handmade cat toys and special treats and engages with them the entire time. We can tell just by the photos how much our cats love Dean. I’m generally a nervous person when it comes to my cats because they are my babies and when we get Rover cards from any other Rover, I immediately have nerves thinking “what if something went wrong”. With Dean, my husband and I have general excitement when we get the Rover card. We are always so excited to see what they have been up to. It’s such a blessing when you know your pets are safe with someone but it’s beyond wonderful when you know they feel loved.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Altadena. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
