About: What Sets Me Apart Caring for animals has truly been a lifelong part of who I am. I’ve been caring for cats since I was 4 years old and dogs since my early teens. About: I've shared my home with two to four dogs since coming to LA 15 years ago. Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs, and I keep my numbers small so every dog gets real one-on-one attention. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for most of the day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take just one family's dog or two at a time, and I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, naps, and bedtime. I always mark as unavailable any days I have travel or major time commitments that will keep me away from home for more than an hour or two, so they will have constant care while they're here. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced backyard full of fruit trees. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress. I have a doggy door for dogs who prefer to let themselves in/out at their leisure. I converted our detached 2 car garage into a recording studio, where I work, so we have the quietest place in town in the event we have to make it through fireworks or if your pet prefers quiet or isolation. Both the house and studio have their own separate HVAC systems, so they'll definitely stay comfortable. I have always slept with my own dogs, so happy to co-sleep with yours if that's what they're used to, but also glad to maintain whatever rules you generally set for them in regard to being on beds/furniture.

Her communication is exceptional — she sends thoughtful updates, photos, and check-ins throughout the day, so I always feel in the loop without ever having to ask. Bernie is high-energy and a little high-strung, and not once has Moon ever made him feel like he was “too much.” She welcomes his personality, plays with him, takes him on walks, and makes sure he gets plenty of outdoor time in her beautiful, spacious backyard. She introduced him to her dog, Ru, with so much intentionality, patience, and care — which set them up for a smooth, safe, and positive connection from day one. Her home feels warm, artistic, and full of good energy — which is very aligned with me as a creative. Bernie picked up on that immediately. He gets SO excited when he sees her, and honestly, that tells me everything I need to know. Bernie gravitates to Moon like she’s an extension of me — safe, loving, and deeply familiar to him. On top of all that, she treats Bernie like family. She pays attention to his food schedule, his quirks, his needs, and she checks in with me immediately if anything seems off. Her communication is flawless. She’s flexible with booking, great with pricing, and even offers pickup/drop-off when I need it. I cannot recommend Moon enough. She is warm, intuitive, attentive, and genuinely cares about the dogs in her home. Bernie and I are so grateful to have found her. I would typically walk your dogs at that time to start off the day, then every 3-4 hours for potty breaks and another half hour walk at the end of the day. I understand that every pups’ schedule is different so I am flexible to cater to your dogs needs. For boarding- My apartment is very minimalistic which makes it pet safe. I never leave any open garbage or food scraps out so you do not to worry about your dogs getting into them. We also get ants if we ever leave any food out so we keep it extra clean. My place is about 1150 sq ft so there’s a bit of room to play! For home sitting- I will always make note of house rules and abide by them at all times (and make sure your dog is too!). You can trust me to keep the place neat and tidy, just the way you left it!

“We love having Catherine, Albert, and Trace take care of Walter. They treat Walter like family and share all of their toys with him. We get regular updates and never have to ask them how Walter is doing. Their backyard is absolutely beautiful and dog friendly. They take our dog on strolls around town and play fetch regularly as if he is their own. I can’t say enough about how great they are and how comfortable we are leaving Walter with them. My husband especially loves the report cards Walter gets after his stay.”

“We boarded our pup Yuna with Jane for 5 nights while traveling internationally. We usually leave her with family so we are pretty new to Rover but we instantly felt at ease after a meet and greet with Jane and her sweet dog Mochi. Jane sent tons of updates, photos, and videos and was super easy to communicate with. Yuna looked so happy running around their big backyard, going on walks, and playing with Mochi everyday. I honestly think she was sad to leave! I highly recommend Jane and would definitely book again.”

“Amazing experience! My 2 dogs stayed with Jianlei for a few nights and I would definitely book another stay for them in the future. With a park right next door, my dogs were able to take frequent potty breaks and walks. Jianlei was very responsive and sent pictures/updates in the morning and evening which definitely helped with my peace of mind, especially since I have a senior dog. “We love Margaret! Our scared rescue dog is fussy but LOVED his time at her house while we were on vacation. In fact, he even made a best friend of another dog who he would snuggle with and sleep. That is just unheard of if you knew him as he doesn’t care for other dogs or people really. She took such great care of him and really understands what dogs needs. This was our second time using Margaret.”
