“Silvia did an amazing job with my dogs while I was away. She is extremely caring and responsive, from setting up a meet and greet with the pups to the every detail of the Rover Card. I enjoyed reading about their walks and the pictures were really great, made me smile. I will definitely use her services again!”

About: I’ve lived around and taken care of dogs since I was young ranging from a 12 week old puppy to a 12 year old dog. My parents have relied on me to take care of our dogs for the past couple years when they go on vacation or work trips. I’ve started independently taking care of dogs three years ago. I’m currently a full time student home for the summer so I’ll be able to play with and love your fur baby at any time. I’m available to pet and home sit any day of the week for any length of time. I am a fully able bodied individual capable of walking, playing, and taking care of your furry family member. I’ll treat your dog as my own and give them all the love and attention they need.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who enjoys spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. While I don’t currently have a canine companion at home, I’ve cared for and walked friends’ dogs over the years and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, leisurely sniffing adventures, or simply some extra companionship during the day, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of care, attention, and exercise while you’re away. I have flexible availability on most Mondays and Fridays, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Whether your dog needs a midday walk, an evening stroll, or some extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help whenever my schedule allows. I understand that pets are most comfortable when their routines stay consistent. When caring for your pet in your home, I’ll follow your care instructions carefully, provide plenty of attention and affection, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

About: I have had and cared for dogs since childhood. I have experience with a wide spectrum of breeds, from the larger, more protective (German Shepherd), to the smaller, more energetic breeds (Corgi). I currently have a 13.5YO male Corgi, and have experience caring for senior dogs that require more attentive care (I recently laid my sweet girl to rest at 14.5YO, after a year-and-a-half long battle with kidney failure). In his prime, my little potato and his late sister were quite the herders, so I am able to keep up with high energy dogs. I have less experience with cats, but my empathetic approach allows me to always find common language with my furry friends. I currently work freelance from home, so my schedule is flexible to accommodate your (and your fur baby’s) needs. Though, I might need to run errands during the day or take my elderly parents to doctor’s appointments. But I conduct most of my business in the San Gabriel Valley, rarely venturing over to the west side of town, so I am always nearby. My typical day with my senior, indoor corg includes going on a walk (or to the park) 1-2x daily, depending on his energy levels. I feed him 4 meals a day (versus 3) because he has a sensitive tum, and adding another meal later into the night ensures that he doesn’t wake up with an irritated stomach. I wash his food and water bowls daily with a mild soap to reduce exposure to harmful bacteria. When we go on walks, I make sure to give other people walking with dogs a wide berth, especially if they have a larger dog and are preoccupied looking at or talking on their phones. I always scan the ground for potentially harmful things careless people can leave behind, like chicken bones. I also allow my little guy to sniff to his heart’s content, because I read that for dogs, sniffing on walks provides enrichment akin to reading the daily paper.
About: *House Sitting (in your home) is my only availability at the moment! We are in the process of finding another home in Pasadena, we can no longer take any bookings for boarding for the rest of the year at the moment. Thank you for your understanding!* Hello pet parents! Here’s a little bit about me: I’ve been dog sitting for the last seven years, through Rover and personal friends. I grew up around dogs in my family and have really enjoyed learning to train and care for other pups. I feel that it’s almost an instant click with every furry friend that I’ve met so far ❤️ I work M-F from home at a tech company and having a friend around brightens every day! My partner and I love dogs but currently don’t own one. Working from home, I tend to have more time on my hands to help you take care of your pup so you can have an ease of mind while you’re away 😊 My mornings start bright and early around 8am. I would typically walk your dogs at that time to start off the day, then every 3-4 hours for potty breaks and another half hour walk at the end of the day. I understand that every pups’ schedule is different so I am flexible to cater to your dogs needs. For boarding- My apartment is very minimalistic which makes it pet safe. I never leave any open garbage or food scraps out so you do not to worry about your dogs getting into them. We also get ants if we ever leave any food out so we keep it extra clean. My place is about 1150 sq ft so there’s a bit of room to play! For home sitting- I will always make note of house rules and abide by them at all times (and make sure your dog is too!). You can trust me to keep the place neat and tidy, just the way you left it!
About: I'm a lifelong animal lover who grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, and horses. Every pet has their own personality, and I love getting to know what makes each one unique. You'll get regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in good hands. I can't wait to meet your pet! 🐶🐱💛 Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to stick to your pet's usual routine—whether that means specific meal times, regular walks, or just being around for company throughout the day. I have in-depth knowledge of recognizing and preventing safety concerns, so you can trust your pet will be in careful, attentive hands at all times.
“Andi took great care of our pup! Just after the Meet and Greet, our pup was clawed in the eye by a stray cat! Andi adjusted her plans, administered eye drops, and took the Cone of Shame off for walk time and back on afterwards. Thanks Andi!”

“It was a really good experience working with Lanice. I am excited to work with her again. My puppies are very strong and can be difficult to control if you are not patient. Lanice was willing to take the time for Hazel bell and Zeus to get to know her and take instructions. I will definitely be booking her again.”

“We had a great meet and greet with Courtney. She was punctual and our Dutch shepherd Sergio warmed up to her right away. She was at ease walking him. We look forward to more walks and getting further acquainted!”

About: Your furry friend is sure to be taken care of when they come to our home! With a family of children, there isn't a lack of the entertaining, special attention and love they will be given. My husband and I have been caring for the cats and dogs of our friends for years and are excited to have you consider us to watch after your fur baby! My schedule allows me to be home most of the day and will be available to watch after your fur baby throughout the day to give them walks, playtime, and potty breaks. Choosing the overnight boarding option? Our family winds down around 10 and are early risers, allowing us to give ample attention to your pet. I have a fenced yard and large area for the dogs to play! I have a pool that is gated off and can either let them near the water, or keep them away; whatever you prefer! I do not have any pets of my own and only book one dog at a time, allowing your dog to feel safe and not have to worry about territorial issues.
“She was one of the best people we have ever had care for our dog. We asked for her help last minute with some dog walks, and she was punctual, thoughtful, very gentle with our sensitive dog, and very reliable. I would highly recommend her!”

“Stephanie is great. She’s walked our new pup for us while we are at work. Always very responsive, leaves great pictures, and the Rover “report card” for walks is so cute! Just like daycare you know what your dog did while you were gone.”

“Brenda is amazing! She is so reliable and wonderful with our dogs! Highly recommend Brenda for all your dog needs. She is very communicative and kind and our dogs come back from their walks with her so happy and fulfilled!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life, but more exclusively over the past 15 years. I’m a proud mama of three senior rescues, and I work with local rescues as a foster. Knowing that your baby is in good hands is the ultimate peace of mind. Whether you have a spirited young one or a frosty faced angel rest assured they will be my top priority. I’m experienced with taking care of animals of all ages, notably with senior animals. I’m comfortable with many forms of medication administration and any accommodations your baby may need. I currently work part time and remotely. My flexible schedule allows me to give a lot of time and attention to make sure your baby is well taken care of. I will stick to the routine that your baby is most comfortable with. I am a guest in their home and it’s very important that I make them feel as comfortable and as calm as possible.
“I have a Great Dane who is very reactive to people and moving objects. I needed a walker in an emergency and contacted rover and choose Julien to walk him 2 times a day. I was worried at first however after our meet and greet I felt confident with my choice. Julien was perfect! He handled my precious dog with ease and confidence. Even when my dog did a few naughty things in my house he kindly took action and handled the problem as well as notified me and help correct the issue. Moving forward I would choose Julian for all of my needs walking Siren.”
“Bobbie is great! She is super friendly and loving towards my dog. He seems happy to see her. She showed up on time to walk him and showed a genuine interest in giving my dog the best care possible. Bobbie has a great attitude and is very easy to talk to. So happy I found her! Booking again next week.”

So glad we went with Khawinda after our last regular walker moved away. She was right on time and asked the right questions to help me feel at ease. My pup is super high energy and not the best on leash but I could tell right away she had experience with these special types. I can see on my doggy cam that he so excited when Khawinda's at the door. Reliable, communicative, and someone who genuinely enjoys animals instead of treating it like a quick gig. She even checked on our chickens for us. :) Thank you Khawinda!!

I’ve had a great experience with Samantha over the past two weeks and am still happily using her for my dog’s walks. She is incredibly accommodating with my schedule, quick to respond to messages, and easy to communicate with. I really appreciate how reliable she is and that she takes the time to wipe my dog’s paws after each walk. I plan to continue booking with her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker!

Ailin is absolutely incredible and we love having her walk our fur babies! She is so trustworthy and reliable. She’s always been so communicative and sends updates! You can tell how deeply she cares about our furry friends and enjoys taking care of animals. I can’t recommend her enough

- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
