“Corey again did an amazing job for over a week looking after our dog and cat. He responds quickly and is very attentive. The pets were very happy and well looked after when we returned. Highly recommend.”
“Jacquie was wonderful!! Very communicative, and such a big help. My cat immediately was comfortable with her and it seemed like they had a good time together! Will be rebooking and highly recommend her with any furry friend.”
“Excellent sitter. Played with our cat, fed him, changed his litter robot and was very observant to things around the house and with our cat (noticed a new bald spot on our cats leg). Would definitely book Madeline again!!”

“Ginneh saved the day! Available at the last minute, totally thorough in her approach, instantly captured what our dog was about and how to document to help us know shidabhuti was content and safe. We will definitely book with Ginneh again! Wonderful!”

“Anna was excellent with my fur babies. They seemed super happy in the photos she took. All visits had little blurbs with how the check-ins went. She was very professional and didn’t hesitate to ask any additional questions with information I missed. I’ll definitely be reaching out again anytime I’m in need of a sitter!”

“Ashley was absolutely fantastic. I hired her services for several days while vacation and she was amazing at communication, providing updates and giving me peace of mind while away. She checked in and cared for both of my cats, one who is super shy and the other who is on special medication for gestational issues. Ashley was comfortable administering the oral medication and I was sure he was in the best hands. I will absolutely be requesting Ashley again in the future and highly recommend her services.”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals from the very beginning — literally. Two Ragdoll cats looked after me as a baby, and by kindergarten I was raising my own Maine Coon, Izzy, alongside two other Maine Coons and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Lulu. My parents taught me early that caring for animals means paying close attention to what each one needs in any given moment, and that lesson has stayed with me. Later, when my Mom adopted a Dachshund puppy, I learned firsthand how differently smaller breeds think, move, and communicate — and how much you have to adapt your approach to meet them where they are. Every pet I have cared for I have been with for their entire life, which means I understand the real differences between caring for a senior dog and a younger one, and take that responsibility seriously. Currently I live in a house without any pets of my own so I can provide my undivided attention to your pet. My apartment issurrounded by great walking trails and am happy to take your pet out whenever they feel like it — I love a long neighbourhood walk as much as they do. I take one pet at a time so your animal always has my full attention, and I'll send you daily photos and updates every step of the way. Whether your pet wants to play, explore, or simply curl up somewhere quiet, I'll follow their lead and make sure they feel completely at home. While I am new to professional pet sitting, I have over 20 years of personal experience caring for cats and dogs of multiple breeds. Feel free to reach out to let me know how I can best serve your pet! I am a recent graduate and freelance filmmaker who works from home, which means I am available and present throughout the day, every day. My weekly schedule is genuinely flexible — I am fully available Monday through Sunday. The rest of my time is spent working from my computer at home, responding to emails, editing, and working on grant submissions, so your pet will never be alone for long stretches. In the afternoons I go for a run through the neighbourhood trails surrounding my building — for high-energy dogs, this is a fantastic opportunity to get out, burn some energy, and really stretch their legs. Evenings are quiet and relaxed at home, which means your pet has calm, consistent company right through the night. I take one pet at a time and accept no other visits or bookings during that period, so whoever is in my care always has my full and undivided attention. I live in an explicitly pet-friendly apartment building with a large living room that gets plenty of natural light — a calm, comfortable space for any animal to settle into. I work from home, so I am present and attentive throughout the day and will always be available to respond to whatever your pet needs in any given moment, whether that's a walk, some playtime, or simply quiet company nearby. I have a car and am able to transport your pet if needed, including in the event of an emergency. I believe strongly in letting animals set the pace — I will never force interaction and will always give your pet the space they need to feel safe and comfortable. I live with a roommate who is typically out of the house during the day at work, so your pet will generally have a calm, low-traffic environment. He is very comfortable around animals and completely supportive of the arrangement. I take one pet at a time and do not accept any other visits or drop-ins during a booking, so your animal never has to share the space or my attention with another pet. For cats, I have a litter box, scratcher, and toys available. For dogs, I have great walking trails immediately surrounding my building and am happy to take them out as often as they like — and for high-energy breeds, my afternoon runs are an excellent outlet. I also offer drop-in visits at your home, doggy daycare, and house sitting for owners who would prefer their pet stay in their own familiar surroundings. I will send daily photos and updates throughout any booking so you always know exactly how your pet is doing, and I am reachable by phone or message throughout the day.

“Krista was an amazing sitter! Her love for animals, knowledge and experience shined through in the care she provided for our kitty. She was quick to respond during booking and then again throughout the week. We are excited to book with this responsible, dedicated caretaker again in the future!”

“Amanda was incredibly attentive and considerate when watching my young cat, Minnie. She sent photos and updates every day so I never worried about how things were going. She even bought Minnie a toy that she loves!”

About: I’ve always had pets of my own and have been caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with kittens, adult pets, and senior or medically complex animals, including providing around-the-clock hospice care for my own beloved cat after his ataxia diagnosis. I currently share my home with Leon, my one-year-old cat, and Chicken, my 26+ year-old African Grey parrot—both rescues (Chicken was found abandoned and taken in) and very loved. I love caring for pets—cats, dogs, and birds of all types and sizes—and I’m happy to welcome other small animals too, just let me know! I treat every pet with patience, attention, and affection, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. I work from home and my schedule is flexible. My goal is always to schedule any services based on the needs of you and your pet(s). I will always follow any instructions on how you prefer your pet to be cared for. Otherwise, I will always care for them in the safest and healthiest way available. The same way I care for my own pets. Leon is an indoor kitty with unlimited access to fresh air and sunshine from his lounging cots attached to our large windows. He loves his wet food, and his meals are on a “flexible” schedule, and no all day grazing. He receives lots of playtime with his humans and more independently. Of course, he gets brushed, not always with a happy purr, but he gets as much as he will tolerate.

“Katharine has been a great Rover w my dog. She got her to eat even tho my dog is very picky to eat when we are not home so that to me means a lot and tells me my dog felt safe and secure with her in their visits. I will definitely book her again.”

About: Hello, my name is Jacinta & I have loved animals my entire life. Yes, I know, everyone says that, but my dads favorite story to tell anyone willing to listen is that when I was about 4/5 years old, I would constantly bug him and ask if we could get a dog. So to get me to stop asking, he told me sure, we could get a dog when I turn 10. Sure enough, when I turned 10, the first thing I asked was where my dog was. Shocked I still remembered he quickly came up with something else to distract me😅 We finally got our first family dog when I was a freshman in high school, then another when I was a sophomore. A spunky little chihuahua terrier, and a loving husky malamute mix. Later on my sister got a dog of her own, an incredibly smart red heeler who I babysat whenever possible. So I am extremely well versed in dogs big, small, and medium! My very first part time job was working at Petsmart in the doggie day care where I spent all day taking care of dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Throughout college I would watch my roommates maltipoo while she went home for breaks. I would house/dog sit my friends pit-bull mix over the weekends whenever he was out of town. My senior year in college I even fostered a friend’s cat for almost a year! I am the first call when someone in my family is looking for someone to dog sit. I still occasionally house sit my cousins two American Eskimos or take them on walks whenever needed. My fiancé and I just got engaged and we are trying to save up some money for all the incoming expenses so what better way than to spend it with the things I love most! (Second to him😅) I work full time but am available week days after 4pm and most weekends! I am open to house sitting, drop ins, walks, or any of your babies needs! I would love to come play with your pets or come say hi, so please don’t hesitate to reach out! I am open to any and all suggestions and requests for care! I work full time but am available week days after 4pm and most weekends! I am open to house sitting, drop ins, walks, or any of your babies needs! I’ve had ample experience house sitting pets and will treat your home as if it were my own. My main objective is to make sure your fur baby feels safe and comfortable.
About: I will be happy to feed your pet, walk with it and clean its litter box. My pet's happiness is my happiness. I love them very much. I have a few free hours a day that I would be happy to spend with your pet. This is happiness for me. In any weather I can take care of pets in the client's home. And also walk with the pet on the street or in the park. Outdoor games are very useful for the health of our little friends.
“Shay is fantastic! She sent us very detailed updates using Rover card with cute pictures. Archie loved her and we would definitely like to have her back again! ”

Alexis was the perfect choice to care for my senior citizen cat! He's a little grumpy and takes two medications twice a day. Alexis had no problem keeping him happy, healthy, and well-loved. Knowing my cat was in good hands let me relax while I was away, which was priceless.

Ashley is amazing. She cared for our cats, Siggy and Martha, like they were her own. Siggy has medication needs, and she handled that with no issues at all. We could relax completely knowing they were in such good hands. We came home to happy cats and a well cared for home. We would absolutely recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, we are return bookers with Ashley and will continue to be!

Anna was excellent with my fur babies. They seemed super happy in the photos she took. All visits had little blurbs with how the check-ins went. She was very professional and didn’t hesitate to ask any additional questions with information I missed. I’ll definitely be reaching out again anytime I’m in need of a sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burbank. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
