Availability
My availability is first come first served but I generally try to be flexible and work with your schedule and most importantly your pet’s schedule to the best of my ability because I understand routines are important. Medication appointments are given priority in terms of timing. I realize having someone in your home is a very personal thing and it’s very stressful. I treat your home as I treat my own home and how I would want a pet sitter to treat my own home. I try to stick to your pet’s normal routine as much as possible but as always the earlier you reach out to secure care the better. :)

About Samantha W.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
I’m also happy to do smaller tasks like watering plants and bringing in mail and taking in and out trash cans during my drop in visits.
Information Samantha W. would like to know about your pet
I generally like to know what the pet’s routine is, how comfortable he/she is with strangers, what their level of training is and any quirks. I also want to know your expectations for me and most importantly what your pet LOVES! The more information I have, the better the experience will be for you and your pet. As a final note: I am not taking same day service requests from new clients and require a meet and greet (either in person or virtual - whatever your comfort level is!) for all new clients. If you have a health concern and would like me to mask please ask I am happy to accommodate.
A typical day
I try to gauge the routine based on what the individual pet is used to and try to get as much information from the owner before I care for them.

Cat care experience
I’m a Chicago Native and have lived in Burbank for 20 years and am active within the community. I am generally comfortable with all types of sizes and behaviors from your kitty to Great Dane! While I am not a trainer / behaviorist, I am comfortable handling large and small animals and everyone in between including kitties with cat-itude (my personal favorite!) as well as special needs animals that are blind or handicap or have high anxiety. I even have some Guinea pig, rodent, reptile and fish clients (rats, bearded dragons and geckos mostly). I ask that you do not request me for snakes. I'm also comfortable with different feeling types (kibble, wet, raw, dehydrated raw, etc) and dispensing medication and supplements including insulin, allergy shots, fluids and ear/eye drops. In my own life I own two Ridgebacks (one that I trained and has received an AKC Canine Good Citizen title), two cats and a 100 pound tortoise! I believe in treating your pet and home with the same respect that I give my own. I openly communicate regarding any issues and let you know what is working and what is not. I sincerely hope that my clients do the same thing for me, I love and welcome feedback! Having someone look after your pet is stressful, it’s my job to make it not. I look forward to hearing from you!
Reviews

Samantha is a pleasure to work with and treats our pets as wonderfully as she treats her own. We are so grateful for her!

So great! Loved my cats like her own and I was able to relax on vacation knowing that! Thanks again :)

Samantha was amazing! We were able to relax on our vacation because of the amazing care Samantha gave our kids.

Samantha takes incredible care of our babies. We are lucky to have her and will happily be requesting her services again!
