“Yessica is great! She sends lot of photos & videos of her on hikes & adventures with our dog. I love that she goes above & beyond to bring him on fun outings. She is also very trustworthy & errs on the side of caution if encountering new situations with our dog. She leaves our house in the same condition we left it for her in, which I appreciate.”

“Tracy was very responsible with our "high needs" kitties, including staying over at our house, 3 meals/day, and giving transdermal meds. The house was clean when we came home and she communicated consistently. Would definitely hire again. :)”

“Madeline has stayed with Harley multiple times now, and she’s been incredibly attentive to his needs, communicative about how he’s doing, and flexible. She’s an awesome sitter that I’m glad Harley and I can rely on!”

“Rachael was absolutely amazing!!!! She took such good care of our pitbull and actually got our sweet but stubborn dog to go on some long walks, which never happens with walkers. She sent lovely long updates with plenty of detail, which was really comforting and helpful. She also took amazing pictures of Polly, which we still love looking at. Would definitely rebook!!!”

“Lilit was wonderful. She was available at the last minute to housesit our dog, Molly. She easily befriended Molly, and made us all comfortable with her kindness and care. Molly had a great time, and we would highly recommend Lilit.”

“Sarah & David are so sweet and took great care of our 2 nervous dogs & house while we were gone. They were very communicative & sent great pictures. I would definitely book them again.”

“Ninon was just terrific! She took excellent care of our Maggie, and she sent pictures and provided brief updates which set our mind at ease. We will definitely ask her to dog-sit Maggie again.”

“Brigette was wonderful! She stayed at our house for a week and took great care of both our pups and our home. She kept us updated throughout our trip with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind and made us feel confident that our dogs were happy and well cared for. She also went above and beyond by washing the sheets and towels she used and leaving the house in great condition. It was so nice to come home to happy dogs and a clean house. We would absolutely book Brigette again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring sitter.”

I’ve handled daily walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, playtime, and overnight care while making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m especially good at adapting to each pet’s personality — whether that means keeping up with high-energy dogs or being patient with anxious or senior pets. My goal is always to give owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring and responsible hands. I’m currently a student and have a very flexible schedule and will be happy to accommodate you. Please feel free to reach out to me. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment with lots of supervision, exercise, and interaction throughout the day. “We can’t say enough good things about Alex! He spent the weekend taking care of our crew, including our paralyzed dog Laika who requires special care. Alex approached everything with such a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn. He was flexible when our return flight was delayed by several hours, which was a huge relief. He not only took wonderful care of our animals (who clearly loved having him around) but also went above and beyond in looking after our home, leaving it in better shape than when we left. The peace of mind we had knowing both our house and pets were in such capable hands was truly invaluable. We’re so grateful for Alex’s care and commitment, and we would 100% book with him again!”

“The night before I had to leave one of our dogs got sick and Sarah did an amazing job taking care of him and our house! We would absolutely use Sarah again, highly recommend!!”

About: I have been taking care of my friends doggies for a few years. Just thought I could continue to do so and also make money. I am a graphic & fashion designer. I am currently working from home part time meeting a few time a month. My schedule and hours are pretty flexible. I would preferred making visits to the clients/pet's home. It is more convenient, less stress for the owner and pets since they are use to their environment. I'm also open to staying over there as well if requested.
“Jackie was so amazing with our dog Moxie. She stayed at our house for three days while we were out of town and everything went perfectly! She sent us so many great updates and was such a joy to have over. She’s respectful and tidy and clearly very caring. We’re absolutely going to keep having Jackie watch our pup. Queen!!”

“Lindsey was awesome! I get super nervous when I leave my dog so I loved how attentive she was to all my instructions with him. I could tell from all the pictures she sent that he absolutely loved her 😊 I will definitely be booking her again!”

“Alexis was absolutely amazing with Leo! She provided me with photos and videos throughout the day of my sweet 6 month old puppy. She’s kind, thoughtful and is very attentive. She’s also very flexible with extending the stay if needed and was so fast to reply to my initial inquiry for Leo to watch him for the day. Would 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking for a puppy sitter!!”

About: Hello, my name is Jacinta & I have loved animals my entire life. Yes, I know, everyone says that, but my dads favorite story to tell anyone willing to listen is that when I was about 4/5 years old, I would constantly bug him and ask if we could get a dog. So to get me to stop asking, he told me sure, we could get a dog when I turn 10. Sure enough, when I turned 10, the first thing I asked was where my dog was. Shocked I still remembered he quickly came up with something else to distract me😅 We finally got our first family dog when I was a freshman in high school, then another when I was a sophomore. A spunky little chihuahua terrier, and a loving husky malamute mix. Later on my sister got a dog of her own, an incredibly smart red heeler who I babysat whenever possible. So I am extremely well versed in dogs big, small, and medium! My very first part time job was working at Petsmart in the doggie day care where I spent all day taking care of dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Throughout college I would watch my roommates maltipoo while she went home for breaks. I would house/dog sit my friends pit-bull mix over the weekends whenever he was out of town. My senior year in college I even fostered a friend’s cat for almost a year! I am the first call when someone in my family is looking for someone to dog sit. I still occasionally house sit my cousins two American Eskimos or take them on walks whenever needed. My fiancé and I just got engaged and we are trying to save up some money for all the incoming expenses so what better way than to spend it with the things I love most! (Second to him😅) I work full time but am available week days after 4pm and most weekends! I am open to house sitting, drop ins, walks, or any of your babies needs! I would love to come play with your pets or come say hi, so please don’t hesitate to reach out! I am open to any and all suggestions and requests for care! I work full time but am available week days after 4pm and most weekends! I am open to house sitting, drop ins, walks, or any of your babies needs! I’ve had ample experience house sitting pets and will treat your home as if it were my own. My main objective is to make sure your fur baby feels safe and comfortable.

Brigette was so good with the kitties! She played with the kitties a lot and kept our babies happy while we were out of town. She was as great at communicating everyday to update us on them and how they were adjusting, and when we got home, the cats looked happy to see us but also in a great mood! Would definitely book her again in the future!

Lilit was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond in taking care of Churro while we were on our Cruise. Lots of walks and loves shared in pictures during the week. I felt 100% confident in have her watch our baby and my home. I would definitely hire her again and highly recommend her if you are looking for someone dependable that will love your pet.

Hailey was seriously the best. She watched JoJo while we were in Dallas for a wedding and we could not have asked for a better sitter. We got to meet Hailey before the trip and had her over for dinner to get to know her, and we felt so good about having her watch JoJo. She was so kind, easy to talk to, and you can tell she really cares. While we were gone, she was amazing. She communicated with us the whole time, sent so many pictures, fed JoJo on time every day, played with her a ton, and followed all of our instructions really well. JoJo looked happy and comfortable the entire time, which meant so much to us being away. Honestly, Hailey went above and beyond. She wasn’t just “watching” JoJo, she really spent time with her and cared for her. We are so thankful for her and would absolutely book with her again. Cannot recommend her enough!

Ruby was awesome with our two fur babies Noah and Miso. She came by to meet us all in advance and our pups took to her right away. She followed our outline for the day to a T and communicated with us throughout our trip and sent cute photos. She is very responsible and also has a very sweet demeanor that the dogs loved. My hubby and I highly recommmend her.

Just came back to a very happy dog and clean home! Corrine/Thorn was a wonderful communicator and took care of Fred excellently (including an outing to a dogs birthday party that Fred loved). We’d be thrilled to have them watch Fred and stay in our home anytime!

Jackie was so amazing with our dog Moxie. She stayed at our house for three days while we were out of town and everything went perfectly! She sent us so many great updates and was such a joy to have over. She’s respectful and tidy and clearly very caring. We’re absolutely going to keep having Jackie watch our pup. Queen!!

Lisa is so attentive and excellent at communication! She took great care of my new dog Blossom while I was out of town. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a sitter and wants complete peace of mind that your pet will be not just taken care of but treasured!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in North Glendale on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 14,246 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Glendale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Glendale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Glendale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Glendale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
