“Ninon was so so amazing and sweet to our doggy he felt so safe with her he fell asleep on her arm! She updated us regularly and took him on a long walk. Highly recommended and I will definitely be booking her again ❤️”

“Pepper was in excellent hands while we were out of town for a wedding. She even got to go to the park TWICE. I’m surprised Pepper even wanted us back home she was pampered!!! We were also provided with tons of pictures and updates! We Can’t wait to use Sarah (and David) again!!!! Thanks so much for everything!”

About: I love all animals and I have experience in lots of different animal care, including aquatics and exotics. I myself have two cats and a dog, and I have helped out folks with many different species, including husbandry. I’m so excited to meet your pet! Every morning my cat kids wake me up around 5:30/6am. The cats and I eat our breakfast together, Babygirl gets her meds, and then just spend the rest of the morning lounging and relaxing. When the senior dog wakes up, he gets his meds and breakfast and then it’s walk time!! Lunch time the cats each get a little churu treaty, and they spend some time playing before afternoon naps. They basically bounce back and forth from silly time to deep sleep for the rest of the day, then it’s dinner time, walkys for Kenji the dog and more playtime, then bed. Pets aren’t “spoiled,” they are cherished. Taking care of beautiful creatures that love us and make us their whole world is a gift. They deserve kindness, compassion, and respect. I love all animals as an extension of the love I hold for my own, and I can’t wait to meet yours and give them love and care.
“Emilie took great care of our very energetic dog and our house- she was perfectly communicative and totally relaxed about our requests/needs. It was a relief to have total confidence that he was OK while we were out of town, and we would love to work with her again.”

“Liency was very kind. She listened to all of our dog/home needs and wrote them down with intentionality. Kept our home clean, and even left us some yummy homemade pumpkin bread for thanksgiving :'). Our dog is a senior rescue and it seems she was very cautious and intentional to make our dog feel safe and warm up to her naturally. She asked if we wanted and sent us photos regularly which I really loved.”

“Dominque was wonderful with our 2 dogs. One was a fairly new rescue, still getting comfortable and she was patient and knew how to earn her trust. This was an unplanned trip, and connecting with Dominique was a gift.”

“Neha did such a wonderful job. She gave me frequent updates and sent lots of pictures, so I could see how things were going. She followed all my requests and was super attentive to the pups. Best of all, my dogs took to her right away and seemed to really enjoy her company. I highly recommend Neha. I know we will be using her again.”

“Yessica was amazing with Rigby! Quality time and lots of TLC. Took him on great walks and was super punctual and dependable. Extremely responsible and organized. Already booking her again!”

“Traci was great with our 12 week old puppy. This was his first time being away from us and she made him feel right at home in his routine. She sent lots of photos and made us feel super at ease. Sokka had a great time with her- highly recommend!”

About: I've been caring for animals for most of my life. Growing up, I had both a pit bull and a Chihuahua, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. As my pit bull aged, I learned how to care for a senior dog with arthritis, including being patient with mobility limitations and adapting to his changing needs. In addition to my own pets, I've fostered dogs, helped care for a mother during labor, and looked after newborn puppies. I've also pet-sat for friends and family and volunteered at animal shelters, where I gained experience working with dogs of different temperaments. Beyond dogs, I've cared for a variety of animals, including guinea pigs and tortoises, which has taught me to be attentive, patient, and responsive to each animal's unique needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply wants companionship and a calm environment, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I'm currently taking a month-long sabbatical, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. The only consistent part of my routine is that I go to the gym Monday through Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. I also take a walk or run around the Silver Lake Reservoir every evening around 7:00 PM, and I'd love for your dog to join me if they enjoy exercise. Outside of those times, I'm available for walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a spacious, fenced home with a clean, uncluttered layout that provides plenty of room for dogs to relax and play. I share the home with three other women in their 20s who also love dogs, so your pet will receive lots of attention, affection, and companionship. I live in a quiet, suburban neighborhood with plenty of trees and green spaces that are perfect for walks and outdoor time. There's also a nearby park where dogs can safely explore new sights, smells, and even squirrels. I'll always follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications (if needed), and any specific instructions you provide, so they feel as comfortable and at home as possible.
“Rachael is absolutely amazing!!! We've been using her as a walker and dogsitter in our home for over a year and a half and we couldn't ask for more. She is the perfect combination of professional and caring, and our dog is absolutely in love with her. While watching our dog at our home, she has dealt with everything from a massive flea infection (!) to an earthquake (!!), even better than we could have ourselves. She's very observant and is always great about letting us know about changes in our aging dog's limp, medical issues, and behavior. She leaves detailed and informative notes, which are very comforting and helpful for us, and as a bonus, she also takes great pictures!!! We love working with her, and Polly loves her too!!”

“Alejandra was fantastic! She showed up on time, interacted well with the dogs, sent us many updates including pictures and videos. It was comforting for us to know that our dogs are being taken care of in the same fashion that they normally are. This was our first time using Rover for overnight and we were very pleased with Alejandra.”
“We can’t say enough good things about Alex! He spent the weekend taking care of our crew, including our paralyzed dog Laika who requires special care. Alex approached everything with such a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn. He was flexible when our return flight was delayed by several hours, which was a huge relief. He not only took wonderful care of our animals (who clearly loved having him around) but also went above and beyond in looking after our home, leaving it in better shape than when we left. The peace of mind we had knowing both our house and pets were in such capable hands was truly invaluable. We’re so grateful for Alex’s care and commitment, and we would 100% book with him again!”

“Jennifer was very professional--on time, super clean, very personable to us and sweet to our pup. She really make sure everything is done well and finished. I would highly recommend her, and of course, book her the next time we vacation! Our labradoodle really liked her, too!”
“Bethany is a great sitter. She was great about communicating how our dog was doing and sent adorable photos of our boy! She is a real animal lover, communicates clearly and is respectful of your home, a perfect set of traits for someone who is staying in your home and caring for a treasured family member!”

Alexis was AMAZING! She took incredible care of our sweet pooch and home while we were away for a few days and left everything looking even better than how we left it. Our dog was so happy spending time with her and she kept us very updated with cute photos and reports. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again!

Jessica took great care of our pups over the July 4th weekend. We were very nervous about fireworks, but she kept them, calm, safe, and having fun. She even went above and beyond when we needed two small house favors with deliveries. She’s very communicative, thoughtful, and sweet to our girls.

Brigette was so good with the kitties! She played with the kitties a lot and kept our babies happy while we were out of town. She was as great at communicating everyday to update us on them and how they were adjusting, and when we got home, the cats looked happy to see us but also in a great mood! Would definitely book her again in the future!

Lilit was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond in taking care of Churro while we were on our Cruise. Lots of walks and loves shared in pictures during the week. I felt 100% confident in have her watch our baby and my home. I would definitely hire her again and highly recommend her if you are looking for someone dependable that will love your pet.

Kiyomi took such good care of our two dogs while our family was on vacation that we were able to truly enjoy our vacation without worrying about anything. Our lucky dogs got more walks than they get with us on a normal basis, and she even did some light training or reinforcement of training and games with them to keep their interest up. She sent batches pf photos daily with an update of what they did that day which our kids loved since they missed the dogs so much. And our dogs looked so happy and relaxed in the photos - I could tell they were very comfortable with Kiyomi. Would definitely rebook Kiyomi the next time we are out of town.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Adams Square walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Adams Square maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Adams Square choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
