“Thank goodness for Grace! She is the dream pet sitter. She was so helpful, communicative, and most importantly made me feel so much better about leaving my kitty. So grateful for her!”

“Talia took amazing care of my dog Margot while I dealt with a family emergency. She sent the sweetest photos, and always updated me on Margot’s anxiety levels which put me at ease while I was away. So glad to have found her!”

“Valeria took great care of our home and our 11yo old pup! Our pup is aging and needed a little more special care and Valeria was up for the challenge! She is communicative, kind, and prompt. We highly recommend her!”

“Anika was great and will definitely use her again! She was on time, stayed later than she needed to (I told her she could leave because the dogs would be okay to be alone an hour) she send updates, took pictures, she asked about the dogs paws because it was hot outside and did her own research to see if it was suitable for them to walk and how long. She asked about which treats and which toys for each of my dogs too. A lucky find”

“Gaby was absolutely FABULOUS. Our Fur Baby Jax immediately fell and love with her (I think the feeling was mutual). She was able to accommodate us at the last minute and in the midst of a storm no less. Gaby is sweet and kind, responsible and attentive. She’s already one of my favorites. I feel very comfortable with Gaby she gets raving reviews from us!!!”

“Monika was very communicative and sent regular updates and photos. I was grateful Monika agreed to cat sit last minute and felt confident leaving my cat in her care.”

“What a giant blessing Kendi is to my little pack! She was wonderful with three very different personality filled pups and each of their needs. She was patient with my newly adopted and somewhat reactive guy, accommodating to my post op senior and lovingly patient with me gal who loves her back scratches on every single lawn! I loved and appreciated the many photos, walk updates and questions if anything was unclear and her willingness to extend the care when my flight went haywire. Thank you Kendi!!! Your care is so incredibly appreciated and we hope to have you back soon!”

“Kt was great with our dogs and left our house in great condition. We could tell they were well cared for and happy when we returned, and was communicative with updates. Highly recommend!”

“Rebekah was so great! My cat got sick while I was away, and Rebekah was very responsible, communicative, proactive, and generous regarding cleanup and monitoring my cat. I highly recommend.”

“Lee was amazing! My fiancé and I left town for 5 days and Lee stayed over at our house and took care of our 60lb Pit Bull. We had never left him for that long and were having a hard time with it… and Lee made us feel so at ease! He was very communicative, responsible, followed and comforted any anxiety we had throughout the trip. I couldn’t say enough good things about Lee and will absolutely be hiring him again!!!”

About: I’ve pet sat dogs for over 3+ years, providing care for both senior and younger dogs. I’m comfortable and confident around animals having spent years looking after dogs for friends, family, and neighbors. I’m a college student with a flexible, remote schedule! I have plenty of free time and am home almost 24/7, allowing me to provide dedicated, one on one attention and frequent breaks for your pets. I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment and a completely vacant extra bedroom which will give your pet plenty of room to roam or rest privately. Safety and routine are my top priorities. Since I am an online student, I am home to supervise your pet closely and we can take regular walks to a beautiful park located just a short distance from my apartment.
About: I work in a senior home managing the care of therapy animals (care, medications, walks, attention), lifelong animal lover, experience pet sitting, happy cat owner! Work a traditional 9-5 pm. I am available to assist with pets while you are out of town, available on the weekends and evenings to spend time with your beloved pets! I am available to provide pets the care they need as well as the attention they deserve! Food & nutrition, walks, play, stimulation, pets, and love!
“Marielle is wonderful! She was amazing with our toy poodle. She gave him a day full of walks and snuggles, which is just what he needs. :) Would definitely recommend and book again! <3”

“Arlondriah was amazing with Johnny! He is a bit skiddish and requires insulin injections for his diabetes, and she pulled it off like a rock star. Can't wait to use her again :)”

About: Both Daniel and I have been an animal people our entire lives. My dad was a veterinarian, with always bringing pets in and out of the house, so growing up I've always loved being around animals! Daniel's uncle also runs an animal rescue in Brazil! We recently said goodbye to our girl Mia (also known as ChiChi, MiMi). Daniel's dog is currently staying in North Carolina and we are actively trying to bring their family dog Billy to Los Angeles from Brazil (wish us luck!). We understand the stress parents go through when going on a trip and we want to give other parents the comfort needed to go on vacation without a worry! Especially when it comes to cat parents, we've been there with finding a trustworthy person to let into your home to care of your pet or even take them on a walk. We are so happy to be that person! We’re currently working from home part time, so our schedule is pretty flexible for drop-in visits for your cat or for taking your dog on a walk around the neighborhood. We try to keep the calendar as updated as possible with any upcoming travel and Daniel or I will always try to find available time. While visiting your cat, we'll make sure to get some play time in, feed/ensure water is filled, change litter if needed and provide as much love as we gave our own MiMi. And we also recognize that cats are active at different times of the day, so we are flexible in finding the perfect moment to enter your cats space. Same goes for dogs. We’ve had a few dogs stay at the apartment with no issues between the two, but better not to risk it unless your dog has had experience with cats. Which we are totally open to!

“Colleen is amazing. She responded very quickly and answered all my questions during our meet and great walk. I booked her stay in my home and watch my German shepherd for 4 days. She treated my dog like her own and stayed in constant communication with me while I was away. Will definitely rebook with Colleen again.”

“Logan was an excellent sitter. He treated my home with respect and outstanding care of my 9 year old Rottweiler. Great communication and updates throughout. He will be my go to sitter going forward! 10/10 no notes.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hollywood
Just the absolute best pet sitter I’ve ever had (and I’ve had so so many over the years)!!! Grace took incredible care of all 3 of my little guys, 2 of which needed medication both morning and night. And my pup who needs to be let out to pee every couple hours due to her medication. I have never felt so at ease leaving my babies before, it was such a gift to be able to relax and trust they were in good hands. She made me feel so comfortable. Every photo she sent my pup was snuggled into her lap, or my cats sprawled out on the bed, just happy as can be. They completely loved her. And I came home to a SPARKLING house, cleaner than I left it. I am in awe! I would recommend her to anyone. And I will be calling her back everytime I leave town in the future ❤️🍀

Gillian did a fantastic job with our cat Lenny and dog Bonnie. Bonnie can be a handful because she is very nervous but Gillian kept us updated and proposed many resolutions to try and make Bonnie feel more comfortable. We can always relax on our trips and rest easy knowing our fur babies are in great hands with someone who truly cares! Thank you Gillian.

Kendi is so patient with my reactive dog, my super independent dog and my “must carry me I’m tired” dog 😅 Whether it’s walks, keeping them all calm during a party or working to earn Benji’s trust, Kendi is truly a friend to my puppers and I am so glad we found her.

Anika was great and will definitely use her again! A lucky find

Christine house-sat and took care of our dogs and she was amazing, she took great care of our two dogs, it was easy to sense she cares a lot during the meet and greet. She was really good at communicating throughout her stay and sent a lot of pictures which we appreciated, highly recommended and we will definitely ask her to sit again whenever we need it.

Dani always takes wonderful care of my animals, and I feel like I can actually relax when I travel because of the quality of care provided. She’s very attentive and easy to work with, and it’s obvious that she really loves animals and cares about doing right by them.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Hollywood on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 13,925 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hollywood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hollywood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hollywood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hollywood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hollywood. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
