About: With over 12 years of dedicated pet care experience, l've developed a great bond with animals that goes beyond just basic caregiving. From playful puppies to wise old lil doggos, l've happily taken care of a variety of pets, including cats, small dogs, and large dogs. I love teaching pets tricks and being the one to ensure their well being is taken care of. Whether it's the boundless energy of a puppy or the affectionate purrs of a cat, I love every moment spent caring for animals and I consider them part of my lil family! I am fully employed, however I work remotely and have flexible hours so I can easily attend to any walk, play, or check in that is needed for your pet! My apartment complex is gated/fenced. My apartment complex also has a dog run so your doggo can run around safely at my place. The dog run has multiple parts so if your dog is more reactive I can play with them in a different part, but if your dog is a socialiser there are many apartment doggos they can hangout with! :)

Ilana took great care of my terrier mix, Larry! She took him on a walk, making sure he visited his favorite spots, said hello to his other dog friends, and took care of his business. When they got home, Ilana spent extra time playing with Larry. Your pet will be in loving hands with Ilana!

My dogs met her while she was walking my neighbours dog and fell in love with her. After seeing how she was with my neighbours dog, how much positive reviews they provided, an ld the fact that my pups loved seeing her I knew I had to ask her for assistance. She has been amazing with my pups, with photos, to personal messages on both my two kiddos. Definitely would recommend her as a walker to anyone looking for someone.

About: Hi! I’M Micah, a doting dog dad to a 11-year-old Aussie Shepherd Mix, Wyatt. I’ve had dogs since I was a teen and have cared for other people’s dogs as well. I understand the importance of tailored care, structure, patience, safety, and fun. I have experience with dogs from puppies to senior care, including daily walks, feeding routines, supplements, grooming, and enrichment. I treat every dog like my own and prioritize communication with parents to make sure we are all comfortable! I work from home full time! With this I’m able to care for any dogs with special needs, regardless of how much attention or individualized care they may need. Pets in my home are treated as my own. They are in the same room with me, relaxing, playing, or while we eat. They can sleep on their bed, mine, the couch etc. I welcome them to be as comfortable as possible. In your home, I am a guest providing a service and maintain their existing routines and follow pet parent guidelines.

Jack was not only reliable and knowledgeable, he was also very supportive as I'm a first time dog owner. He's a great dog walker as he was dependable and flexible and sent photo updates and was very communicative. Beyond that he was also one of the nicest and most genuine person I've met. Definitely a great experience!

About: I've taken care of my friend's dogs for the last four years. Friends rely on me to take great care of their pups, walk them several times per day, for overnights and to stick to their dietary schedules and restrictions. I give them the extra love and attention they need. I also take them to the dog park frequently and on runs or hikes for my more active and high energy doggie friends. As an active runner, I spend plenty of time outdoors and am located near a dog park to give your pup access to fun outside play. I live in a dog friendly building, with nearby access to a dog park. I have no other pets that would disrupt your pet's time boarding with me. Your fur baby will have my full attention and time during their stay.

About: Animals have always been family to me, and I approach pet care with the same attentiveness, patience, and respect that I would want for my own pets. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs, so I take the time to build trust at their pace and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and my ability to connect with both pets and their people. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous, shy and sensitive, or somewhere in between, I’m committed to creating a calm, positive experience that keeps their routine consistent while you’re away. I provide thoughtful updates, clear communication, and plenty of affection, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in caring hands. As someone who values creativity, curiosity, and community, I bring a warm and engaged presence to every visit. My goal isn’t simply to watch your pet, I want to make sure they feel loved, enriched, and secure until you’re back home. As a freelance curator, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, reliable care throughout the day. Unlike sitters who are away for long stretches due to a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, I’m often able to accommodate daytime visits, customized care routines, and more consistent check-ins. This flexibility allows me to be responsive to both pets’ needs and pet parents’ schedules, helping ensure your pet receives thoughtful attention, companionship, and care while you’re away. The safety and comfort of every pet in my care is my top priority. With years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, I understand that each animal has its own personality, boundaries, and needs — and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel secure and loved. My apartment is a calm, pet-friendly space where my animals are always kept in a home that is clean, free of hazards, and stocked with everything needed to ensure a comfort. When caring for pets in your home, I believe trust is built through consistent communication. Pet parents can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in caring, experienced hands. I treat every pet as if they were my own — because I know how much they mean to you. They will be taken care of while remaining in company of a sitter who values a clean, safe, comfortable experience for you and your family.

About: I’ve been watching dogs since 2020 when my younger brother adopted a six month old pitbull puppy. I absolutely adore her. She’s very high energy and we love taking long walks together. I’ve had my own French bulldog now for three years and I also take care of my friend’s Maltese that is five years old and my other friends mini Doberman pincher/Pomeranian mix that is 12 years old. I have open availability I just need to know ahead of time. 9 to 5 is the best time for me to give walks, but I can make anything work. I have my three year-old French bulldog mix at home with me. I live on the third floor, half my apartment is hardwood floor, half of it is carpet. There’s a lot of toys in here. There is a dog park nearby that I walk to often. And we also stop by the vets office to get treats on most walks

About: I'm currently working from home part time and working in a restaurant part time, so I’m able to give your pup plenty of attention and take them out as often as needed when at home. I sometimes will need to be gone for around 6-7 hours a few days out of the week for my other job so I ask that your pup is okay on their own occasionally. When your dog stays with me, they’ll be treated like a member of the family, with lots of love, care, and playtime. I live in a one-bedroom apartment that’s cozy and safe for dogs. If your dog is crate-trained, I’m more than happy to set up their crate in the living room to ensure they feel comfortable and secure during their stay. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I'm committed to providing the same level of care and attention I would give to my own pets. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, or just some extra cuddles, I’m here to make sure your pup feels right at home. I am working from home during the day so I have plenty of time to take your pup out whenever needed! Let me know their schedule. We will go out on walks, we can go to the park if you’re okay with it, I will feed them according to their normal schedule, and of course plenty of cuddles.

It’s been several weeks of using Hannah and she’s great! We pretty much trusted her after our first meet & greet to enter and leave our home unsupervised. Friendly, pleasant, and attentive to instructions we had, is reliable and communicative. Most important, our dog liked her right away, and she’s been posting adorable pics every time she walks him. John M has a very gentle manner that won over our 15-year-old Chiweenie by the second visit. It was hard for us to trust somebody to not just yank her around and try to get her to bend to their will when all I really want for my little lady-old-lady-baby is a little intellectual stimulation - sniffing around and getting some fresh air. We really appreciate John and his delightfully sweet-natured vibe and trust him to get all of her nonverbal communication!

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
