“Angela has been so great with Ophelia! It’s so nice to know that I don’t have to worry about my fur baby being safe and having so much fun when she is with her! She’s always on time and I know I can count on her when we book! Ophelia will be so sad to her move to LA! Thanks Angela! ♥️ 🐶”

“We had a great experience! Our dog can be pretty nervous around new people, but Allison was patient and made him feel comfortable from the start. We really appreciated how flexible she was with our schedule and accommodating of our requests. It gives us peace of mind knowing we can leave our dog with Allison and he’ll be well taken care of. Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. When I didn’t have my own, I always took care of my friends and family dogs. I have always had a special relationship with each individual pup, and I would love to get to know all the quirks and needs of your precious dog(s). My family’s dog is named Cali, and she is truly my best friend. She is in New York now, so I cannot see her as much and am needing some doggy attention from others in the mean time. I know what it is like to feel nerves leaving your dog and making sure they feel safe and happy, and I hope to create that same environment for your dog. I am a post college graduate who majored in social work, and I have always had a need to care for others. My most recent experience is spending the past two months house sitting for 3 amazing dogs. One was elderly and the others were two big puppies. I hope to continue this summer having fun with new fluffy friends and making sure you can enjoy any vacation, obligations, or other activities knowing your loved ones are in good hands. I am currently doing a gap year before I head to do my master’s degree in New York City. That means I have loads of flexible time to perform pet care and work on your time! I expect to know at least 3 days before. Making sure pets are understood and supported is my biggest priority. Being in a new environment or with a new person is scary and overwhelming. It’s important for me to understand their needs and big feelings before putting them in different situations. I treat everyone’s dog like my own-meaning loads to attention, cuddles, playtime, walks, talks, and treats. It’s important for dogs to not just be taken care of at the bare minimum-but to be enriched, active, and engaged when I am around.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have cared for my own dog, Dream, for the past six years. I walk, feed, play with, and care for him every day, and I’ve trained him to sit, roll over, and be fully house-trained. Dream was rescued from a difficult situation, so I understand the importance of building trust with dogs who may be shy, nervous, or anxious around new people. That experience has taught me to be patient, gentle, and attentive to every dog’s individual needs. I treat every dog like they’re my own and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and care while you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone calm and reliable by their side, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m dependable, responsible, and excited to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I’m currently not working, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate my full attention to your dog. Whether you need walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’m available throughout the week and happy to work around your schedule. I know how important consistency is for dogs, and I’ll make sure they receive the attention, exercise, and care they deserve while you’re away. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priority. I’ll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, routines, and any special needs so your dog can stay as comfortable as possible. I understand that every dog has a different personality, and I’m patient with dogs who may be shy, energetic, or need extra reassurance. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for from the moment I arrive until you return.

About: I grew up taking care of pets! My childhood dog Olivier was an unusual mix; he was an eye-catching, mutant-sized Dachshund who got a lot of attention walking down the street, and we had a couple of independent-minded kitties. My family still has multiple dogs and cats. I absolutely adore dogs and feel strongly about tuning in to who they are - if they want to play, it's on! If it's a shy guy or gal, I respect their space if and until they feel more comfortable. I facilitate healing workshops and I'm an artist with a variable schedule that I keep up-to-date on my Rover calendar. I'm currently living in a building that doesn't allow dogs and I love cats but am super allergic. So daily pet care for me is making friends with and greeting my doggy neighbors. When I've had pets or boarded them previously with Rover, I always make sure to find out the basics of their personality from you, their favorite human. They deserve the same consideration we give people! Currently only offering walks, not boarding.
“Elizabeth was a great pet and house sitter. She sent updates and pictures while we were away. The pets were happy and the house looked great when we returned. We will definitely use her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Care! I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and genuinely feel happiest around pets. I grew up with both dogs and cats, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I’ve had experience with all kinds of personalities and sizes — from small, sweet Shih Tzus to a playful Cane Corso puppy I dogsat for a full month, to most recently living with my most recent ex roommate's golden retriever. I’m very attentive, patient, and intuitive with animals. I pay close attention to their energy, needs, and comfort levels, whether that means giving them space or extra love. I’ll treat your pet like my own — making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for at all times. I also live an active lifestyle, so I love going on walks, playing, and keeping pets engaged. At the same time, I’m calm and gentle, which helps especially with anxious or shy animals. You can fully trust that your pet will be in loving, reliable hands with me 🤍 I’m currently in school getting my master’s, so my schedule is flexible and I naturally build in breaks throughout the day. I love using those breaks to go on walks, get outside, and spend time with pets. I always prioritize creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and follow all instructions carefully, including feeding routines, walks, and any specific needs. I’m happy to communicate about whatever works best for you and your pet. I typically use your pet’s own leash, food, and supplies so everything stays consistent and comfortable for them. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and energy, making sure they feel secure and cared for at all times. My goal is always to treat your pet like my own and give you full peace of mind while you’re away.
“We are new to the area and searched Rover for someone close to our VRBO who could take our 8 year- old, chocolate lab, Hunter for a long walk and give him dinner. We found Robert and are so glad we did. We met at a local park for our meet and greet and I knew he would take good care of Hunter. Robert was great communicating through text before, during and after spending time with our dog, which made it easier for us to enjoy a longer evening out with friends. Would definitely recommend Robert to look after your pet.”

“I highly recommend! I have a big, strong dog that’s a rescue and can be scared. Faith knows her way around rescues and did an amazing job coming over and walking her while I was traveling. I couldn’t be happier!”

About: Hi — I provide private, one-dog-at-a-time care in a calm, controlled home environment. 1,200 square foot luxury apartment in the heart of Beverly Hills. Walks are in my tree-lined neighborhood and access to Roxbury Park. I’ve had dogs my entire life, including large and high-energy breeds like German Shepherds and Dobermans, so I’m very comfortable with their routines, behavior, and exercise needs. I am comfortable leading large dogs. I focus on creating a relaxed, structured, low-stress environment where dogs feel safe and secure while their owners are away. Over the years, I’ve trained spirited dogs to be responsive and under control, including off-leash work and hand signals. I’m attentive, intuitive, and experienced in reading a dog’s energy and adjusting accordingly to keep them calm, engaged, and well cared for. I provide narrated videos and still photos of your dog's activity throughout their stay. They relax in comfort on an orthopedic dog bed--that I position beside my bed at night. Food is served in elevated food bowls for your pooch's comfort. This is a less traumatizing experience than a kennel. I treat each dog like it's my own, and avoid contact with all other dogs. Your dog is played with and praised throughout the day. I work from home as a writer, so I’m here throughout the day and able to give your dog consistent attention and supervision. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to accommodate different drop-off and pick-up times. I keep a calm, structured routine with regular walks and downtime, so your dog feels comfortable and well cared for. I provide a calm, clean, and controlled home environment with one dog at a time to ensure safety and attention. Dogs are supervised, taken out regularly for walks and bathroom breaks, and kept on a consistent routine based on your instructions. I only accept well-behaved, house-trained dogs and take time to understand each dog’s needs, personality, and comfort level. My goal is to create a safe, low-stress environment where your dog feels secure and well cared for.

About: My life is full, two businesses, a rich personal world, but nothing grounds me quite like time outdoors with a dog. I've owned and cared for dogs and cats since childhood, decades of hands-on experience. I trained my own dogs and cared for a rescued 14-year-old senior, so I'm comfortable with medication routines and know how to use a sling for mobility support. Dog walking isn't a job for me, it's where I recharge. Long walks in nature with a good dog are some of the best hours in my week, and I'd love to share that with a select group of clients nearby. I'm responsible and detail-oriented, and I'll follow your exact guidelines to keep your pet safe and comfortable in every way. After recently losing my mother I want to dedicate lots of time to helping others. Offering some of my time to a select group of clients on Rover for pet care in my immediate surroundings feels like a good fit. I am a very responsible person and will follow your exact guidelines and requests on how to best care and safeguard your beloved pet in all ways possible.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Beverly Hills
Robbie was absolutely amazing taking care of my baby Sisa while I was away in Hawaii! I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. From the beginning, Robbie was incredibly caring, responsible, and attentive. He took the time to play with Sisa, give her plenty of attention and affection, and make sure she was happy and comfortable while I was away. What impressed me the most was how meticulous he was with every single detail and favor I asked of him. He followed all of my instructions perfectly and treated Sisa and my home with so much care and respect. Being away from your dog can always make you a little worried, but knowing Sisa was with Robbie gave me real peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my trip. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about her and wasn’t simply there to do a job. I came home to a happy and well-cared-for Sisa, which says everything. I would absolutely trust Robbie with her again and recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and genuinely caring pet sitter. Thank you so much, Robbie, for taking such wonderful care of my girl! Sisa and I truly appreciate you! 🐾❤️

I've been so lucky to have Therese walking Gus since April! She is always on time, incredibly reliable, and so kind and caring with Gus. She's also been so accommodating whenever we've needed to adjust schedules, which I really appreciate. It's such a relief knowing Gus is in such great hands every time she's with him. Gus absolutely loves her!

Nicole has been such a lovely sitter to work with and we are so grateful to have had the chance to meet her. She’s taken care of our Milo, above and beyond! With a pretty in flux schedule, Nicole has many times come on a moments notice, and always provided detailed communication about availabilities and walks. On other occasions Nicole has taken the time to teach Milo a few tricks! Can’t say enough great things about our experience in working with Nicole!

I was feeling a little nervous about our first confirmed house sitting with Genki and requested a last minute walk for a kind of “orientation.” He was prompt and very open to my “guidance” - it was really anxiety about leaving my two doggies with someone new. I have a strong and anxious pittie so I wanted to make sure she wouldn’t be too much. We walked together and Genki quickly showed me he knows what he’s doing. I feel a little better about our dogs’ upcomig weekend with Genki and appreciate his kindness and the respectful way he showed up to meet and walk our dogs.

Johnny is phenomenal! Where other walkers take my boy half a mile, he goes above and beyond and walks a similar route that I do — 1.5miles! The pictures are instant serotonin—they detail his care and efforts! Johnny followed instructions, kept in contact. I felt that he really cared about Graham. I feel safe with leaving my baby boy in his care! I enthusiastically recommend Johnny!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
