“Kellin has been great and very patient acclimating our new pup to walks. He's naturally shy and a little scared of people and dogs but she's willing to put in the time and effort to make him comfortable.”

About: Hi, I’m Amy! (Rover makes me use my government name 🤷♀️) I have two rescue pups: Abby (5-year-old Formosan mountain dog, 35 lbs) and Ollie (2-year-old Goldendoodle, 65 lbs). I also volunteer for a dog rescue - check out Fetchin Retrievers Rescue! My pups are polar opposites: Abby is a skittish homebody, and Ollie is an energetic goofball. I can do everything from Abby-style chill cuddle sessions to Ollie-style crazy zoomies! My pups are both rescues with an unfortunate past, and through caring for them and my volunteer work, I’m experienced in reading dogs’ body languages to take things at their pace, curbing unwanted behaviors, and training by positive reinforcement.

About: Talk about a long recess! The last time I was actively walking on Rover, I was still grinding through grad school. Fast forward a few years—I survived, got the degree, and now I’m a college professor! But with campus closed for the summer and seasonal breaks, I am thrilled to swap my lecture notes for a leash. To keep things smooth, I specialize 100% in neighborhood walks and drop-in pet sitting. I don't accept boarding or daycare requests at my location, meaning your pet gets my undivided attention and a premium, PhD-level walking /sitting experience right in their own familiar territory. I can't turn on off the educator, so I may work on basic training with your pets. I'm a performing artist, writer, and online professor, so I have time to care for your fur babies. I'm also self employed so I make my own schedule. I only care for pets in your home, and I follow your rules while making sure your pet feels loved and cared for because they should feel as comfortable as possible when you're not around.
“Patrick was the best! He agreed to run my dog not just walk him for an hour every day! It was worth every penny when I saw how happy and tired my dog was when they’d get back from a run! My dog Chunk loved Patrick and would sit watching the door waiting to see him! Patrick is awesome and I will use him every time I come to LA! U need to hire this man and u will be very happy with his work!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a young girls, I always grew up with many animals in the house like cats, dogs, birds and many other animals. I was also a professional dog trainer at a shelter organization for close to 2 years before the pandemic started, I really enjoyed training the dogs & meeting the cats! Pet care fits into my schedule since I work a remote job which leaves plenty of time for me to take care of the fur babies! I always like to make sure to get at least 4/5 good adventures throughout the week to keep my fur baby entertained since I work at home! I have just one small Maltese at home to keep your fur baby company while they are being watched at my house as well as someone to play with outside at a nearby park since I have a small fenced yard, I would be able to walk to the park everyday!
“Rachel is a wonderful and gentle person to entrust with your dog’s care! She’s patient and lets my senior pup set his own pace. She’s reliable and easy to schedule. Highly recommend!”

About: I've always had animals in my home since I've been alive. I love taking care of animals and making them (and people!) feel loved and right at home. I currently work part-time and remotely throughout the week. I am happy to help those who need pet / house care while they are working or away on vacation. I give them tons of love and make sure to follow instructions when given! I also love to leave a handwritten & detailed report for you to know what we've been up to throughout the stay.

About: Hellooo! I am a dog lover living near LAX. I wfh part time and have walked, sat, and fostered many dogs in the last 12+ years. * I currently have 3 pet clients I take car of and check up on throughout the week * I also have taken care of fish and birds * I have a (flexible) day job. — I have experience with dogs from 12 -45lbs. I am capable of taking your dog on long walks through any weather (even the dreaded rain lol), taking them to appointments if you can't, and babysitting while you are away. ✨ I currently wfh part time & I can walk your dog both in the morning and in the afternoon, and to the park or beach via the weekends. It is necessary that I know if your dog to neutered/spayed when boarding, to prevent any territorial behavior. I have ~10 years of experience, taking care of dogs from puppy to seniors
About: I have taken care of dogs since I got my first dog when I was 9 years old. In college, I was responsible for taking care of my roommates dog, which included daily walks, feeding, and baths. After graduating, I volunteered at my local animal shelter as a dog walker and would occasionally foster a dog as well. I have my own little pup, Roo, who is a 1 year old Aussiedoodle who has my heart. Animals bring so much joy and love into our lives and deserve to be looked after with love and care. I am currently working full time in a remote position. My work schedule is very flexible, so I can give your pet the attention they need. My apartment has a small yard that we use to let our dog lounge when we are relaxing at home. We are in a great area, and frequently walk our dog along the bike path. As for taking care of your pet in your own home, I am big on respecting other peoples’ space and am a very clean and organized person.
About: I’ve lived with multiple cats in the past and walked small to medium-sized dogs for years. I love having some cute floof to break up my day :) I currently work from home so I’m flexible for walks and checking in the area during the day. I work with small and medium-sized dogs and cats. I make a point to be caring and respectful of any client’s home. Of course it takes a huge amount of trust to allow anyone into your space and I like to keep things clean and tidy.

Katherine walked Katsu while I was out of town and she was amazing! She sent me lots of updates and photos of my dog which put my mind at ease. Very easy and fast communication! Would highly recommend Katherine!! Definitely planning to book her again even when i’m in town

Wow. Wow. Wow. We love Anne. We needed steady early morning care to anchor my pup and my parents’ visiting pup while summertime comings and goings happened with the humans and massive work was being done inside the house as well as the yard. With Anne’s warm and skilled caregiving, the pups are starting each morning with a long walk and focused, routine care. The dogs are better bonded (they don’t totally dig each other) and whoever happens to be home feels supported. The dogs needed consistent care and routine. Anne has been such a stabilizing force for all of us. The dogs are thriving and we are moving through adventure and chaos with WAY LESS stress. What a gift! Thank you, Anne.

Our experience with Samantha was great one ! She’s professional, knowledgeable, very communicative. She gave all three of our doodles a good thorough walk. She was even able to handle our anxious dog Bo with ease. We would happily recommend her to all pet parents !

Colleen is the best! She’s super responsive, easy to schedule and coordinate with. She lets my dog set the pace on walks which is really important and he really loves walking with her more than most walkers. She’s made my life easier over and over again! You’ll be lucky to book her!

Luke has been helping Toji (my labradoodle) and I out for several weeks on a recurring schedule. Absolutely recommend Luke for any of your pet needs! He never missed a day and always gave updates and detailed report cards. Will be booking with Luke whenever he's available!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
